Saturday, December 24th, 2022
Hanna Kirishima and Katsuki Bakugo were curled up together on Hanna's couch, under a thick blanket, watching Christmas movies.
Tomorrow's Christmas, and the two girlfriends are spending it together. Not that they had much of a choice. If they hadn't both come to Hanna's for the holiday they both would have had to stay at UA, and Hanna really wanted to see her moms and younger sisters. But, there was no way Hanna was letting Katsuki stay in the dorms(mostly) alone. And Katsuki couldn't go 'home' after she was kicked out for being trans. So, here they were.
Hanna had always loved Christmas, but not because of what she got or anything. Sure the presents and snow were nice, but that wasn't it. She liked watching her family enjoy it. Seeing the joy on their faces when they opened a present they had been nearly desperate for. Watching the younger girls faces light up at dinner as if they hadn't had that food every year their whole lives. Looking away in 'disgust' when her parents 'accidentally' bumped into each other under the mistletoe.
It was amazing. And now her amazing girlfriend also got to experience it!
"Hanna?"
"Yeah, Kat?"
"Why are smiling so much." The blonde complained, sleepily.
Hanna laughed. "It's your fault, dummy."
"My fault?"
"Yeah, you're just laying there all cute and happy and sleepy. How could a girl not be happy to see her girlfriend like that?"
Katsuki was too tired to even try to stop a small smile from appearing on her usually tense face. She loved being called Hanna's girlfriend, or a girl in general. God, she loved being a girl!
"Aw, look! You're smiling!"
"I am not." Kat complained, still smiling.
"Oh, sure you're not, sweetie. And Natsu isn't getting a new camera tomorrow."
"Shut up!" Kat called, knowing full well Natsu, Hanna's eleven year old sister, was getting a new camera. She had wrapped it after all.
"You know I'm right!" Hanna called in a sing-song voice.
"Be quiet, I'm trying to watch the movie." Kat complained.
"Alright, alright." Hanna conceded, not believing her girlfriend's excuse for a second.
Hanna was thrilled Katsuki would be spending the break with her, and, although she would never admit it, Kat shared the same sentiment.
