Summary
Tommy is poorer than the dirt he sleeps on.
So is every orphan kid in town, and they all work endless, dangerous jobs just to eat a crust of bread at the end of the day. They are underpaid and overworked by abusive "employers" everywhere they look.
None of this could ever change.
And then Tommy meets a chimney sweep, with bigger dreams.
Dreams, that together with Tommy, Wilbur, some friends, and the 20000 kid strong rebellion, could change all of their lives forever.
