Awareness comes back to Obi-Wan slowly. Obi-Wan lies in something warm and scratchy, he feels around with his hand, and the ground breaks in his hand. He shoots up quickly, remembering what had happened before.
He looks around and sees nothing but sand and water. He looks for traces of the ship that had crashed and sees smoke rising in the air, in the trees, not too far from where he is. Now if he could only spot Satine.
He squints towards the water and sees blond hair. Why couldn’t she have landed on the sand?
Obi-Wan gets up and then hisses, he looks down at his ankle and notices the black and purple spots around it, he either majorly sprained it or broke it. Probably the latter. Regardless of this, Obi-Wan limps towards the water, takes off his outer robes, only leaving his shirt, and starts to swim towards Satine. She’s a bit far away and but he can see from where he is that she is uninjured. She turns around and looks at him as she treads water and keeps her head above the water.
“Satine,” Obi-Wan shouts and he swims closer to her.
“Ben.” Satine weakly greets. “I’m stuck, something has caught my ankle.”
That makes sense then why she hadn’t swum shore, Obi-Wan thinks. “Okay, let me see if I can set your ankle free, then.”
Obi-Wan dives into the water and sees that she had caught her ankle in some seaweed. He comes back to the surface to breathe.
“You have seaweed wrapped around your ankle,” Obi-Wan informs.
“Well, just get it over with then, I’m getting cold.” Satine states as she shivers in the water. Obi-Wan dives back into the water and uses the Force to rip the seaweed so Satine isn’t attached to the floor of the ocean anymore. However, as weak as he already was, Obi-Wan now feels weaker as he swims to the surface.
“You’re free now.” Obi-Wan states and Satie nods gratefully. Obi-Wan gets in front of her and Satine wraps her arms around his neck, normally she’d reject this, but Satine is very tired from treading water for so long, Obi-Wan then starts to swim to the shore.
Obi-Wan gets towards the shore and both he and Satine collapse in the sand from exhaustion.
“Remind me again why we’re here?” Obi-Wan finally says after a while and Satine grumbles.
“The Death Watch was chasing us. You don’t remember?” Satine asks and Obi-Wan shakes his head and then winces. “You’re head is bleeding you, di’kut.” Satine mumbles. Well, that makes sense why he can only remember a ship going down now, Obi-Wan thinks.
“And my ankle is broken,” Obi-Wam mutters and Satine shakes her head as she looks at his ankle.
“You just wanted to have the last word didn’t you.” Satine states and Obi-Wan huffs.
“Maybe.” Obi-Wan shrugs and Satine chuckles. Obi-Wan looks over to Satine who is shivering and has an idea. He stands up, much to the dismay of Satine, and grabs his outer robe. He walks over to Satine and holds it out for her. “Take my robe, you’re shivering.”
“I think not, you need it too, Ben.” Satine fights and Obi-Wan ignores her. He wraps it around her shaking frame and Satine snuggles into the warmth of the robe. Satine looks to Obi-Wan and pats the spot next to her. “Go get your other robe and come sit next to me.” Obi-Wan smiles and tiredly retrieves his other outer layer, he then walks and slumps next to Satine.
Satine lays her hand across his neck to his shoulder as Obi-Wan does the same. The sun is setting and they watch the sunset from the beach.
“We should probably get supplies for a fire,” Obi-Wan whispers.
“I’m sure Skywalker will be here any moment.” Satine supplies and Obi-Wan snickers.
“We want to get off this island, dear, not crash two ships today.” Obi-Wan reasons and Satine softly laughs.
“So little faith in your padawan?” Satine teases.
“Former padawan.” Obi-Wan mocks Anakin. “But I’m only joking.” Satine snuggles closer to him. “Well, at least I hope he doesn’t crash the ship.”
“Well, let’s just enjoy this view in the meantime, Cyare,” Satine suggests, and Obi-Wan smiles.
“Gladly, dear.”
And this is how a worried Anakin finds them later, both cuddled up and sleeping close to each other. The starry sky above them and the moon lighting up the beach. Anakin smiles, relieved that neither of them is dead, and comms Ahsoka, telling her he found them. Of course though, he took pics first, oh how he loves blackmailing his (former) master.
