Yoga Partners

Summary:

After his injury. Chigiri's doctor advised him to participate in some yoga. Chigiri then asked if Kunigami would like to join him. That was probably not a good idea.

Work Text:

“Yoga?” Kunigami Rensuke asked. “Yes,” Chigiri Hyoma replied, “do you think yoga is a sport?” Kunigami pried his mouth to say something–but soon went quiet. After a few seconds, he formed an answer. “Well, yoga is mainly body practice,” he paused to look at Chigiri. “However, I believe yoga is related to some sports. Such as cheering, dancing, and even football.” “Oh,” Chigiri whispered. He didn’t expect Kunigami to know so much about yoga. “Well, in that case–I was wondering if you’d like to do some yoga with me.” He offered.

Kunigami was hesitant at first–but nodded. “Sure. But I’m not as flexible as you are, Chigiri.” He said. Chigiri couldn’t help but be flattered. “W-well, that’s okay. I’ll teach you some of the basics. And if I do something advanced for you, I’ll give you an alternative pose, alright?” He said. Kunigami nodded. The two of them went to the training room to warm up.

“What pose are we doing first?” Kunigami asked. “Hmm, let’s do something simple–like a mountain,” Chigiri replied. “What’s that?” “Well–it’s something like this.” Hyoma lined his feet together and stretched his arms to the ceiling. “This is a mountain. It’s a standing exercise that strengthens the legs.” Kunigami followed his partner's actions.

“This feels nice. I can feel my legs getting stronger.” He said. “That’s good. Now it’s time for our next pose.” Chigiri announced. “And what’s that?” Rensuke queried. Hyoma then smiled and went into a lunge position. He then lowered his arms to his shoulders and faced his chest to Kunigami.

“This is the second warrior pose,” Chigiri explained. “There is a first one, but I feel like this pose is easier to do.” “Mn, I see,” Kunigami mumbled, “what does the pose do for the body?” “Well, I know it benefits the hip,” Chigiri replied. “This brings us to our next pose, the extended triangle.” Hyoma tried stretching out his right leg, but soon struggled and lost his balance.

“Chigiri!” Kunigami yelped. “N-no... I’m fine.” Chigiri grunted, forcing himself to resume back to practice. “Don’t force yourself to stand,” Kunigami advised, “let’s just take a break.”

“You had an injury?” Rensuke inquired. “Yeah, an ACL tear to be exact,” Chigiri replied, “The only people who know about it are my previous teammates, my family, and Isagi.” Kunigami’s ears rang as he heard Isagi’s name. He continued to focus on massaging the leg, gently pressing his thumbs against Chigiri’s shin. “Chigiri,” he spoke sternly, making Hyoma peer toward him. “Did you think I would pity you for your injured leg?” Chigiri didn’t answer. He lowered his head with embarrassment.

“Nevermind that. Are you feeling any better?” Kunigami asked again. “Y-yes…” Hyoma grunted. “What’s wrong now? I’m not hurting you am I?” “No…! No, you’re fine. It’s just… It’s just that–”

“Does it tickle?” Chigiri’s heart jumped when Kunigami asked him that question. He can’t let him know that he’s ticklish! It’ll give Kunigami and the others another reason to tease him. But wouldn’t lying make him more vulnerable? Hyoma decided to be honest with Rensuke, just in case he wouldn’t fall victim to his “experiment.”

“A little. I’m pretty ticklish, so that might be the reason. Sorry.” He said, averting his eyes from his partner. “There’s no need to apologize, Chigiri.” Kunigami smiled. “Shall we continue?” Hyoma blushed–but nodded. Maybe Kunigami as a yoga partner wasn't such a bad idea.

“The last pose we’re gonna do today is called the vajrasana; a.k.a the thunderbolt pose.” Chigiri kneeled on the yoga. He lengthened his arms above his head and breathed deeply. “The goal is to encourage the flow of energy through your body.” “You kind of sound like Igarashi.” Kunigami stated. “Just shut up and do the pose.” Kunigami shrugged and joined.

Kunigami couldn’t help but notice Chigiri’s side frame. Rather than wearing his training uniform, he was wearing sports attire that was gifted to him by the Blue Lock organization. Chigiri’s pants were fine, but Kunigami focused on his shirt. It fit him well, but it was loose. As Hyoma stretched, his shirt lifted briefly, revealing some parts of his midriff. Without hesitation, Kunigami pinched Chigiri’s skin.

Ghk-! Kunigami!” Hyoma choked, hugging both of his sides. “Sorry, I was curious,” Rensuke said.  “Curious?! Just because I said I was ticklish doesn’t mean you can use it against me like that!” “But with the pose you were doing–it looked like you wanted to be tickled.” Chigiri went silent. His face became warm with embarrassment. Could Kunigami be right? He then felt Rensuke’s hand on his shoulder. He couldn’t help but scowl and Kunigami’s sneer.

“There’s no need to be upset, princess. If you keep making a face like that, I might have to do something about it.” Hearing his words caused Chigiri to feel more embarrassed. “K-! Just get out already, idiot!” He yelled, pushing Kunigami out of the training room. Maybe choosing Kunigami as his yoga partner wasn’t a good idea(it secretly was).
