TK watched Carlos with fond amusement as his fiancée tried to fix his hair as they walked back towards the break room waiting for him to give up on the lost cause.
"Babe unless you've got some hairgel in your pocket then I'd give up, embrace the curls."
"You don't have to look so smug about it, we may as well walk in with a massive sign that says 'just made out in a storage closest' and get ahead of the teasing." Carlos said with a pointed look.
"We're engaged it's allowed." TK winked as he reached for Carlos' hand.
"You do know that you can't just use that as an excuse for everything right babe?" Carlos asked, raising his eyebrow at TK.
"Why not? It works every time and Dad gets all teary eyed and he forgets what he was trying to say."
"Just how many times have you used this against Owen? Wait no I don't want to know, y'all have no boundaries when it comes to sharing details, I've learnt my lesson."
"That's probably for the best babe." TK nodded and pulled him over to the sofas and cuddled into his side straight away.
"Carlos! When did you get here?" Mateo asked loudly, making Nancy wince at how close to her ear her boyfriend was.
"Not too long ago, I thought I'd join y'all in between calls seeing as mine and TK's schedules aren't lining up very well this week." Carlos hummed, kissing TK's head.
"Well I guess we've solved the mystery in the kitchen." Marjan laughed, sharing a look with Paul.
"Mystery in the kitchen? What mystery in the kitchen, I'd like to know." Mateo asked curiously.
"Marj and I were trying to work out where the red and blue slushies on the counter came from."
"And are you going to share the answer with the rest of us?" Nancy asked.
"Of course, TK stick out your tongue."
TK shared a look with Carlos briefly before sticking out his purple tongue with a way too smug expression.
"Get it TK!" Nancy laughed, leaning over to high five her partner as Carlos hid his head in his hands.
"Judging by Carlos' gel free hair and the slushies being almost completely melted, the two of you snuck off to make out in that storage closest you think no one knows you use." Paul laughed, high fiving Marjan.
"How do y'all know our secret making out spot? Now we have to find a new one." TK grumbled with a pout.
"Please don't answer that, I don't think I can take anymore embarrassment today." Carlos said from behind a cushion he now had in front of his face.
"Well then why don't I embarrass our lovely friends here instead?" TK asked with a mischievous grin.
"You really don't want to play that game buddy, I know more than you think I do." Nancy replied.
"Oh yeah? Try me." TK said, holding back a laugh when he heard a small 'why' come from Carlos under the cushion.
"Lexi told me how near the beginning of tarlos being official TK came to have lunch with our dear Carlos here but TK couldn't go inside the police station because of the lovely quarantine rules of 2020 so they decided to have lunch in the police cruiser." Nancy started, grinning widely when Carlos dropped the cushion to stare at her.
"I swore Lexi to privacy about this! I bought her starbucks for a week!" Carlos groaned and rested his head against TK's shoulder in defeat.
"We should've made some popcorn." Marjan joked as they all waited for Nancy to finish the story.
"Long story short our adorable couple decided to sit in the back of the cruiser as it's more spacious to stretch out in and after they'd finished their lunches they did what any new couple in their honeymoon stage does and made out but they forgot one vital flaw in this plan and TK ended up accidentally locking the door and Lexi had to come and let them out."
"That's my new favourite story, I can't believe you got locked in your own police cruiser." Marjan said, leaning against Paul as she laughed.
"Buttercup found Nancy's bra under the sofa and keeps it in his bed with his favourite squeaky toy!" TK blurted out with no remorse.
"Carlos lost the key to his handcuffs when he lived at Cap's place and the spare replacement key was in my room because it used to be TK's so he tried to sneak in to get it but I caught him and he tried to lie about why he needed it!" Mateo said quickly, wanting to defend Nancy's honour.
"Mateo cries when watching any movie with Chris Evans in even if it's not a sad movie!" Carlos almost shouted.
"This is glorious, please keep going." Marjan said as she wiped tears from her eyes from how much she was laughing.
"Oh you aren't safe from this Marwani! Marjan purposely let the elevator doors at the loft close when she saw the two of y'all kissing just before the engagement party!" TK said to Nancy and Mateo.
"Traitor!" Marjan gasped and threw her cushion at TK who caught it gleefully.
"Paul writes poems!"
"Oh come on man, why am I being brought into this??"
"Nancy once hid in the ambulance for an hour when Paul was looking for her because she didn't want to lose a bet she made with Marjan!"
"Carlos didn't like the pasta dish you made all of us for lunch last week TK!"
"Carlos has superman underwear!"
"I don't even want to know what I've just walked in on." Judd sighed as he stopped by the doorway.
"Judd is scared of cats and snakes!" TK said with a victorious smile.
"That is the single best thing I've ever heard in my life, thank you TK." Paul laughed and wiped at his eyes.
"TK's heart literally skipped a beat on the monitors when Carlos visited him in the hospital when he was recovering from hypothermia." Judd said.
"Aww now that's just cute not embarrassing." Marjan cooed.
"Can we stop the embarrassing stories competition now?" Carlos asked, smiling at TK softly.
"I guess so but only because I'm hungry and want lunch." Marjan shrugged and pulled TK up from Carlos' lap.
"We're going to get pizzas, someone get a movie ready but nothing with Chris Evans in it!"
"He's a great actor, it's not my fault he brings out my emotions!" Mateo defended himself as TK and Marjan left the room.
"So, handcuffs? Really TK?" Marjan asked with a teasing grin, linking their arms as they walked out of the station.
"Guilty as charged." TK winked and laughed at Marjan's eye roll at the bad joke.
