Summary
'It had been over a year since they’d last seen each other - they’d been busy, Vergil especially, in their separate roles as custodians of the new world. Granted, that was a very short time compared to some of the other departures they’d had, and it was certainly tolerable, but it seemed it took only a short time for Vergil’s heart to begin aching. The specialists were gathering about now, tiptoeing around the rubble and unpacking, setting out recording equipment and tables and the like - and he ought to be helping. But his purpose taking his trip with them had all but faded to insignificance, because just over there was his brother… walking away, slipping out of reach.'
