No More Secrets

Summary:

Lockwood got shot by the Golden Blade. It's just a scratch on his shoulder...right? But, what if Lockwood's injuries from the Bickerstaff battle were more severe than that?

Or, a rewrite of the very end of episode 8 (The Whispering Skull arc).

Chapter 1: The Night

Chapter Text

"It has to be me. I've got the secret weapon. You have to let me do this, Lockwood. For George."

That was the last time Lockwood saw Lucy before she entered the catacombs under the cemetery to rescue George and Kipps. Lockwood, now stuck with the Fittes agents, must barricade the entrance.

"Anthony Lockwood! Where is my mirror?!" Winkman screamed as he got closer to them. The four teenagers can see the bloodthirst in his eyes. This man has gone mad.

"We should've run. You're gonna get us killed," said Ned. His voice is trembling.

Lockwood pulled his rapier, trying so hard to think the best move, "Pull yourselves together. You're elite Fittes agents. Three of the best I've ever met. And I'm Anthony Bloody Lockwood."

And all hell break loose. Winkman and his thugs attack them from everywhere. The man locked his eyes only for Lockwood, using an axe to attack.

Lockwood managed to slash a tiny bit of Winkman's stomach before the man hit Lockwood's hand to get rid of his rapier, almost breaking his skinny wrist. Lockwood was trapped in a pillar, and Winkman made sure to press the wooden part of his axe as hard as he could to Lockwood's neck. The boy cannot breathe.

With the remaining power, Lockwood hit the man on the head to break free from him. Winkman fell to the stairs and Lockwood proceed to attack the other thugs with his rapier.

That, is not long until he and Kat are cornered. Lockwood decided to make a move. They both ran to the cemetery to distract Winkman from entering the catacombs.

Lockwood struggled to fight Winkman and one of his thugs. He managed to throw the other man into the grave hole. He was left with Winkman who's still mad as hell.

Winkman pulled a cross sign from the grave and stuck Lockwood's rapier to the ground. He pulled the boy's hair hard, like he's gonna ripped it apart from his head.

After many struggle, Winkman throws Lockwood to the ground, and Lockwood feels his head throbbing. Without giving him any chance, Winkman pressed the cross to the boy's throat. Lockwood, again, is out of breath.

"After I kill you, I'm gonna find the little scrubber girlfriend of yours and I'm gonna kill her too," Winkman hissed.

Lockwood still gasping for air. His rapier is gone. He might die if he can't get out of this position.

His vision starts to blur before Kat hits Winkman's head with a stone. Lockwood gasped. The air finally starts to enter his lungs again.

Ned and Bobby are waiting for them on top of a mausoleum. More of Winkman's people are coming. Lockwood can't lose this chance. He left them after breaking a ghost seal and goes straight to the catacombs.

"Keep ghost away till DEPRAC get here."

.
.
.

Lockwood finally entered the cemetery hall. He looked into every corner of the room until he felt something wrong. Chill runs down his spine worse than his encounter with ghosts.

Lockwood turned around and see a familiar man on the corner. The Golden Blade showed up, eyes gleaming with hatred.

"God's sake. Really?" Lockwood sighed.

"You've no idea who I am, and you've no idea what you're messing with. The forces in play. The bone glass is... an inconvenience. You, are insignificant. Just like your mother and father were," he said.

Lockwood stunned, "What's that supposed to mean?"

"You'll never know," the man took a gun from his pocket and without warning, he pulled the trigger right at Lockwood.

Lockwood let out a small gasp and tried to run. But the bullet is faster. He felt it strike his upper left body, leaving him with sharp pain that he had never experienced before. He stumbled backwards until he fell into the catafalque hole.
