It’s just for the mission, Kate reminds herself. Just for the mission. She and Yelena aren’t actually dating. Nope. That’s not happening. Not in a million years. Not because Kate doesn’t want to… She would love to, actually. It’s just not what Yelena wants. She thinks.
Yelena surprises her once the mission is done. They kiss again. It’s all real this time and Yelena is an excellent kisser.
“I am taking you on a proper date,” Yelena says. “Candles, flowers, dinner, everything. You should look pretty.”
“I can do that,” Kate says.
Yelena checks her out and grins. “I know.”
