Chapter 1: Wake Up
Chapter Text
January 7, 1526
Kimbolton Castle, England
Catherine Of Aragon or also known by her birth name Catalina de Aragon, was on her deathbed glaring lifelessly at the ceiling. Her life is currently in the process of being grasped by death itself.
Through her pondering a friend of hers accompanied her till this fateful day. What's her name? Maria de Salinas, a friend so loyal and kind that she deserved to be considered as family. Maria was so loyal to Catherine that she boldly disobeyed an order from the king himself, knowing the possibilities of her so-called " treason".
How did she know? Catherine knew the king herself, after all, she was his wife.
Knowing how cruel her spouse, the king could be. With her husband forbidding his wife to see her daughter, his repeating his actions with her trusted friends would not be surprising for Catherine.
Back to the topic, Maria kept trying everything she was able to until she could finally see Catherine. She succeeded by disguising herself as a very ill person. By committing those aforementioned actions it is to assume that Maria disobeyed a direct order from the king.
The thought made Catherine smile and worried for the well-being of her friend. It seems there are still people who care for me.
She was thinking about how her life could have gone down a happier and different path. In her trance, there was a painful feeling in her chest that never disappeared, similar to the sensation of being eaten alive. She never had thought nor expected that her life would turn out to be full of grief and suffering.
In her early days, she had longed to enjoy her whole life with her beloved Arthur after being infatuated and eventually married to one another. It had seemed as if they were meant for each other, they were destined to be together.
It was a genuine and happy marriage. For Catherine, It had seemed like it would never end. Fate however took a different approach and with that tragedy struck.
With a turn of events, after being happily married for a few months she became ill along with her husband.
The memories of staying in bed while feeling horrible about her husband seemed to play in repeat inside Catherine's head in a never-ending loop. Her current predicament seemed to remind her of that feeling of being close to death's hands.
Thankfully, she survived the illness but unfortunately, her love was not so lucky. After she was able to recover well her husband passed away. She was devastated, that was the first time she felt the overwhelming sensation of sadness. It was as if time went to a complete stand-still.
It was by the law that she should be imprisoned. Every night while in her cell, she would mourn the death of her beloved. She mourned every day for her husband until her eyes could no longer produce tears until her emotions were washed away.
After a few years, she was informed that she was to be married to Henry VIII, her dead husband's brother. Catherine didn't know what she should feel. However when the moment both their eyes met, something rekindled it was certain that both of their fates were sealed to each other.
Of course like with Arthur she loved and cared for him and he did the same, however, she was still mourning the loss of her first husband. Their relationship went surprisingly well. Catherine loved him and he loved her back.
However, after time had passed Henry began to be tired of her. A fact that contributed was that she failed to give him a male heir. She sadly had 5 miscarriages though her one and only daughter, Mary was able to survive and live to her teenage years.
To Henry, this wasn't enough, no matter how much she begged, cried, and cared for him. He betrayed her… He wasn't even kind enough to let her see their daughter even if it was for a split moment. Oh, how much she missed her little princess.
He annulled their marriage and had, her exiled. No matter how much she showered him with her love and care, he didn't care about her it was all about giving him a male heir. Her heart had shattered to a million pieces upon being informed of his decision on that day, it was a moment she would never forget.
Her mind wandered into "What-if situations". Could she have been happier if she died along with Arthur? What would her life look like if Arthur survived? If she was able to give birth to a male heir?
Her mind endlessly wandered and thought of multiple different situations. Now she was dying. She gave out an exhausted sigh as the pain in her chest increased as every second ticked by.
"At least I could finally rest. I hope you take care of yourself my, dear, Mary". She thought weakly before the darkness overwhelmed her and her sense of touch disappeared, after that, she could no longer feel her body.
The last sound that her ears heard was the voice of Maria calling out her name. She smiled one last time content with her life even with the multiple hiccups she found herself in.
After her untimely death, she just floated in the middle of nowhere, nothing else visible than the vast darkness. No matter how hard you look you'll find nothing, no light, no objects, and no other people. Just an endless void with Catherine herself being the unique thing you could find.
She seemed to lose control all over her body as no matter how much she tries to move, her own body never seems to respond to what her brain commanded. So she could only stare at the darkness in front of her.
Honestly, Catherine got used to the dark fairly quickly, who wouldn't get used to the color of the place where you would spend all eternity?
How long was she in the void? Maybe a few hours? minutes? years? No matter how much she tried to remember, Lina couldn't tell as she had lost her sense of time after time passed on.
While staring off into the darkness she suddenly saw a bright flash of light in the distance approach her at an unimaginable speed. She tried to run away but as soon as she tried her eyes were swiftly engulfed in the blinding light.

Everything was white for a minute or so. When the flashes of light disappeared Catherine started to regain control and feel her body. "Finally" She thought.
Catherine opened her eyes to be greeted by a ray of sunlight seeping from the blinds that were covering the windows. She flinched as she turned away from the sudden light hitting her eyes, registering why she was there and where.
She was lying in a soft blue armchair. She looked around, on her left there was a wide rectangular box on what seemed to be a cabinet(?) While on her right, she saw that there were stairs leading up. There were about 3 entrances that lead into the room.
First, there was an open door to what Lina presumed to be a kitchen. Then there were the stairs. The third was another door on one corner of the room which Lina presumed led to the outside.
Puzzled, she looked around more for clues then she spotted a piece of paper with the words "To Catalina de Aragon" in cursive. She was curious as to what the paper is and to whom wrote her name on it. She took her hand and reached for the paper, picking it up slowly.
Her fingers brushed with the smooth surface of the paper while she unfolded it revealing a neatly written letter.
Greetings and salutations,
I know that you're currently confused about your current predicament, but do not worry as this letter will inform you of what you've missed since your passing and will explain the reason for your sudden presence.
It has been exactly 500 years since you had your last breath. Yes, you are currently in the 20th century.
Technology and society have changed during that 500 years. As have left for you near this letter.
You have been reincarnated for a second chance at life. Considering how unfair how your first life went. There is also another reason for why I brought you back but I cannot say it yet as you will need to find it out for yourself, do not worry you will soon be able to piece together the puzzle.
I also have to write to you that there will be other people from your time that will be brought back like you.
Since you were reincarnated your body is different although you still do have your facial appearance so that they will still be able to recognize you. I also want to note that your body's current age is 23.
Do not worry about food and money as I will provide those things to you. However, when you can find a job I'll no longer provide for your needs.
That is all that I have to say. Hope you live your life this time to the fullest and enjoy it.

Her eyes skimmed through the whole letter. She couldn't believe what was written in the letter. Reincarnation?
Yes, she heard of the concept of reincarnation courtesy of her strong faith in her religion. But witnessing it and being the one to experience it herself. She couldn't believe it! Though her being back to life made her nonetheless. She was given another chance. A second chance at life and live to the fullest.
She looked at the location where the letter (currently in her hands) was before. Near it, as the letter had mentioned, was a thick book with a hard dark blue cover with the title "Changes In Technology and Society" written in cursive with a golden color.
She was happy that other people would also be brought back to life, like her. However, to her dismay, it didn't discuss who exactly. "Though it did say people in my time". She thought. "Maybe Arthur or even Mary!"
She looked for who wrote the letter and if they had written their name on it. Though there seemed to be no clue of who it was. She sighed in defeat as she slumped on the sofa.
She was confused, to say the least. I mean who would die and return to life after 500 years? It was unbelievable and surprising.
As the letter stated her body would not be the same body of hers back then. She was a bit weirded out by the fact that she was in another new body. Though, she got used to it pretty quickly. Catherine noticed that her body temperature felt hotter than normal. She didn't know why but she decided to find out more later.
She also did not forget the fact that she was younger. Through her body, she figured out her age (physically) which was 23.
Her mind wondered, why was it at that specific age?
Then it hit her. 23 , she was 23 when she married him , the king.
She stole another glance at the book. She decided on reading the book after she was done recomposing herself.
She had taken the letter's advice to read the book for preparations and well she was surprised, again, to say the least. A lot of changes truly did happen. However, she was more surprised and a little happy at the fact that women were now fully respected and had rights.
“A good change finally.” Catherine thought.
Though she couldn't comprehend that clothes in the modern world that exposed a whole lot of skin were considered normal. In her time showing that amount of skin was considered downright scandalous! With it being known as ordinary Catherine she almost fainted.
After reading the book for about an hour or two she decided to take a break and got something to satisfy her hunger.
She went straight to the kitchen, opening a rectangular metal box in one corner of the kitchen called a "fridge" that could store food so that it wouldn't spoil.
She was astounded by how much food was in the fridge provided to her. Thankfully the book she was previously reading taught her how to use a machine that can cook or reheat food called a "microwave".
She set the "timer" on the microwave and sat down at the kitchen table. Catherine couldn't count how much time she spent understanding the concept of electricity and technology, but it took her long enough.
There was another problem, she still needed to get used to her new body; she couldn't count how many times her own body had stumbled on her way. After all, she wouldn't want to waste another chance at life. She kept thinking about what she would do in this life now that society has changed for the better, her excitement skyrocketing.
Still, something kept bugging her, she wouldn't stop thinking about it.
Who will be joining her? How long will it be before they arrive? And what connection does she have with the people or does she even recognize who they are?
She drifted off to her thoughts and suddenly she thought about someone. " What if...one of them were... That Boleyn girl?" She panicked over the thought. "I'll have to deal with that harlot." She dreaded seeing the latter.
After all, it was her fault that her marriage to him was annulled. It was her fault that she didn't love her more. She quickly shook the negative thoughts away instead of focusing on her surroundings.
She looked around taking in every detail. The kitchen looked neat. There was a sink, stove, and other weird machines that she read about like a toaster and coffee maker. Through the book, she learned that these machines were powered by an energy called "electricity". She wouldn't lie technology is confusing.
A few moments passed. Her thoughts were interrupted by a repetitive beeping noise coming from the microwave, indicating that the food she had put in was finished. She carefully took the heated food out of the machine and started munching on it rather quickly, stopping for a bit after she accidentally burned her tongue after the first bite. She continued to the living room with the plate full of food in her hands.
She turned on the rectangular flat black box called a "TV". A "TV" is a type of electronic that provides entertainment. After watching for a while, she had the brilliant idea to look around the house. Catherine put the plate down on the table and started walking up the stairs. She was greeted by a long empty hallway with one door at the very end. She went near the door and saw that it was her room. Excited, she turned the knob and peered inside her room.
The room was painted a very nice golden color with a large bed on the very left side of the room with a blanket and pillow. Next to the bed, there was a table filled with pens, paper, and other work essentials that she had read in the book, with a comfy chair.
Next to the work area, was a closet filled with clothes that fit her, supposedly meant for her. There was an empty hamper for clothes near the aforementioned closet.
She closed the door, headed back down to the living room, and returned to her original position.
She wondered why the hallway upstairs was empty. She then came up with the conclusion that maybe a few doors would soon appear for the other people. She then continued reading the book given to her.

9:00 A.M.
London, England
Two days had passed since Catherine had been brought back. It was eventful to say the least. If she was going to be honest, getting accustomed to the modern world is difficult.
Even after she finished reading the guide book or manual given to her when she first arrived, it was still hard to understand.
She had just returned home after attending the Sunday morning mass. Even though things have changed she still stuck to her beliefs and with beliefs it included religion.
Still she was frightened with the concept of going to church at this time period. First was that things have changed and even if she had already read the manual she still dreaded the fact. Second she was afraid of commiting mistakes while inside a church.
She still took the time to recite prayers before and after eating, going to bed and just going outside. Her religion was a part of her, it was what made her, well her . So she could just not forget about it. The saying "Old Habits Die Hard" was true.
She dropped off the groceries at the kitchen counter, put the food in the fridge and went straight to the living room to watch some morning news as usual.
Everything was going on as usual until she noticed a piece of paper or to be more specific, a letter lying on the coffee table.
"I don't remember leaving with a letter being left here before". She thought, glaring at the letter intensely with a whole lot of suspicion.
She then carefully took the letter from the coffee table into her hands and unfolded it. She was then greeted by a familiar handwriting.
Greetings and Salutations,
Hi there again! Since I think it's time for another person to join you since you have already made progress learning and adapting to this new world. I might have forgotten to write to you a very important fact in the last letter I sent.
You see, I forgot to mention to you that unlike how you came here, some of the others won't be arriving like that, some will arrive the same way you do. They will be able to encounter you eventually so do not worry about their wellbeing. So keep an eye out on who sticks out like a sore thumb.
As I said earlier, it is nearly time for someone to join you. So prepare yourself physically, emotionally, and most importantly mentally.
That is all, thank you for your patience in reading this letter. Good luck!
I bid you farewell.
Catherine was starting to get a bit sceptical of the person writing to her since she arrived, however still kept her trust. After all, the person behind the letter's brought her back for another shot at life.
Now after being given the news, she readied herself for any encounter with anyone from her past just in case.
Of course her question still remained "Who?". She thought while she continued listening to the tv.
After finishing her daily dose of news Catherine went straight to the kitchen. Even though she had just arrived she had shown immense cooking skills, that might get handy in the future when other people will join her. After eating, she continued her routine as usual.
That routine involved her going to the newly discovered library. While she was exploring beforehand she missed a door in the living room right next to the kitchen entrance. You can't blame her because she was still in a state of shock and she was starving.
While exploring the surprisingly large library. She was sure that this library alone was the reason for the large look of the house when viewed outside.
She came across the History section. She was ecstatic about finding out what had happened after her death. After all, maybe she would see her dear daughter's name listed as one of the memorable monarchs, plus she had this feeling of being drawn to it. She couldn't resist the urge so she scanned the books.
She stopped by it and started searching for a good book to get her started. The first batch of the books she skipped were the usual first monarchs of England. She was already taught about it so she ignores it.
It wasn't until a specific name caught her eye. "The Tudor Era (1485-1603)" read one of the labels on the shelf.
"That must mean that this row of books was about when it was my time." She happily thought while she continued on with her objective. After a bit of searching she then saw his name.
She saw numerous books with his name on it. She squinted a little harder to read each of the titles.
That's when a specific label caught her eye. "The Six Wives of King Henry The VIII". Her heart seemed to skip a beat.
"Wait? What?" She rubbed her eyes again hoping it was just her eyes playing tricks on her. She then quickly took a glance at the other books near the said book.
All of the titles had the words "Six Wives Of Henry the Eight", or the infamous rhyme "Divorced, Beheaded, Died, Divorced, Beheaded, Survived". Now she was more invested in reading those books.
She looked at about three books on the shelf, all with them being the same topics including the first book she saw. Catherine immediately pulled the said books off the shelf and bolted to the nearest chair.
She sat down, reluctantly opening the first book revealing its contents. Not knowing what would await her when she fully reads it. To say she would be horrified by the end of it would certainly be an understatement.
10:00 A.M
After an hour of reading about three long bulky books, Catherine's reaction contained mixed emotions with anger, shock, and sadness being the more dominant ones.
She was angered not because the one she loved dearly was replaced but by the fact that her husband would even have the decency to behead a child who had just become an adult and the fact that he forced 2 women to marry him even though the said women refused.
Another fact is that Parr, her God daughter, was married to him. He even married a lady that he had known since she was still a baby. She had the feeling of nausea in her stomach, she wanted to puke there and then, clearly disgusted.
She was dismayed by the beheadings and how many things he did just to have a male heir, to call him desperate would be an understatement.
She was in despair about the fact that 5 women's lives were ruined because of He-him. Also how even 2 of them died just because of accusations that weren't even true and they had paid the price for it via execution.
A pit suddenly formed in her stomach.
Then it occurred to her that there was a way that she could have saved them… if she simply was able to give him a son.
It was...all her fault. If it wasn't for her then maybe they wouldn't have suffered such a terrible fate.
Maybe Boleyn and Parr would be with the love of their lives and would have died happily with them.
Maybe Howard, a girl so young and alive, would have become one of the very powerful people in court, she had such a long life waiting ahead.
Maybe Seymour would have married another man and was able to take care of the children she so desired.
Maybe Cleves would not have been humiliated on an international scale and maybe some people would have been able to see her hidden beauty.
After her discovery her feeling of guilt seemed to start eating her alive, she decided maybe she should take a break.
Catherine dreaded meeting Boleyn after she was just brought back, but with the others? Her anxiety skyrocketed up to an unbelievable level.
"No wonder the letter told me to prepare myself, especially mentally." She gave out a tired sigh, now having understood.
Reading through the book mentally and emotionally, even physically if you will, drained her. So she decided to prepare herself even more knowing the events that had happened after her death.
While in her thoughts, she suddenly fell asleep too tired for what had transpired.
Unknown to her, upstairs an outline,a frame of a door had just appeared emitting green glow.
Catherine awoke about two hours later when she suddenly felt hungry. So with legs that felt like spaghetti she began her way to the kitchen but not before looking at the book that was left open on the table.
5:00 P.M
It was nearly time for her to cook dinner. But first Catherine decided to go get something that she left in her bedroom. She went up the stairs. The sight shook her.
On the far end of the hall near her room, there was another door. That surely wasn't there before, she was sure of it.
Surprised, and curious, she decided to peek into the newly discovered room.
She peered into the room, it was similar to her own room, the position of the furniture was the same. The only difference was the emerald green colour motif of the spacious bedroom.
Catherine then looked at the bed on the very left. That's when she noticed. There was something in the bed. She approached it to get a closer look.
Her speculations were right. There was a sleeping figure on the bed. She took in the details of the person. It was a girl maybe in her 20's, wearing a green shirt with a green blanket covering the lower part of her body. She was short for sure.
The girl had long black hair that flowed freely in the pillow she was lying on.
Based on her look of peacefulness it seemed that the girl was currently having a pleasant dream. Though at first she didn't notice it was when she glanced back at the girl that she was perceptive to spot a scar darker than her skin that circled the whole neck of the girl. Her thoughts rapidly went straight to the thought of Boleyn.
Catherine first thought of waking the girl up and interrogating the girl of her identity but she decided against that, and chose to when the girl awoke herself.
After all, she wouldn't want to face the person yet just in case it was someone who she doesn't want to meet early. Plus the fact that by seeing the girl she had a sense of familiarity washed over her. She needed time to prepare.
Catherine quietly left the green room, heading to her own gold coloured room to get what she was searching for earlier.
She went back downstairs to cook dinner with the girl never leaving her thoughts. She continued with whatever she was doing.
Unknown to Catherine because when she left the room she accidently closed the door louder than she intended, the girl was shortly awoken with fear and confusion.
The girl opened her eyes revealing its colour, emerald green.

Chapter Text
May 19, 1536
Tower of London, England
In one of the rooms of the infamous Tower of London holds the infamous queen, Anne Boleyn. By now it was the time, the day, for her execution.
Anne was not able to sleep, she was awake all night thinking about her approaching doom. There were noticeable dark bags under both of her eyes by the time morning came.
A few days earlier, her brother George Boleyn, had gotten his head chopped off. Anne was already devastated hearing the news, as if to add salt to injury Anne was able to view her brother's execution from her room in the tower.
She kept her tears in all the way, keeping herself from breaking down, feeling intense guilt. It was all her fault.
She was the reason for her brother's unjust fate; the accusations weren't even true yet he had to lay the price because of Anne.
Before George put his head on the block of wood that was on the edge of the scaffolding, George shot his sister a look, smiling at her with visible tears flowing freely down his eyes.
That was the last straw, she broke down there and then, her ugly wails echoing inside her empty room. Her brother then knelt down and put his head on the wood. The wails died down after a while, though sobs can be heard. By the next morning Anne's eyes were bloodshot with the area around her eyes visibly red.
The same fate was what Anne is going to be following except hers was more When Merciful. Her brother, an innocent man, was executed painfully. Meanwhile, she was not going to be suffering
It was unfair really, George, an innocent man suffered, while Anne, a sinful woman, would die with almost no pain.
She knew it was time for her to go to the block when the guards arrived at her cell that morning.
When she went down to the scaffolding she was composed and calm. Some of the people even thought that the queen had already accepted her death. However inside she was terrified.
"Good Christian people, I have not come here to preach a sermon; I have come here to die. For according to the law and by the law I am judged to die, and therefore I will speak nothing against it."
She flawlessly recited her speech with grace. After all she had practised it all the previous night.
She knelt down praying for her family's safety until she heard a whistle of a sword and felt pain in her neck. The pain did not last very long and disappeared after a few seconds.
Anne then had the darkness filling her vision. It stayed like that for a while until she suddenly felt something soft touching her back. She had already accepted it after all.
July 1, 2018
London, England
It was unusual for her. First she was floating in an endless space, next she was transported to an unknown place.
She was startled by a sudden loud bang. She woke up to find herself in a completely different location. She scanned the whole room, it was an emerald green room. Huh, it was her favourite colour."How unusual". She thought.
There were multiple pieces of furniture lying around her room. She was astounded.
She then noticed a letter on her bedside table. She curiously took the letter and found that it was addressed to her specifically. She then unfolded the piece of paper to be greeted with astounded news.
She skimmed the letter trying to understand what it meant. She almost didn't believe it but the fact that she woke up after being supposedly beheaded made her think otherwise.
She was brought back to life in the future, she was surprised that a woman full of sin like her would have been chosen to be brought back.
With the remainder of being beheaded she immediately took her right hand and brushed it on her neck. It was still intact. She was still alive.
Anne could however, somehow feel that there was a scar. Though she paid no mind to it for the time being.
As the letter stated her body would be different but her facial appearance would stay the same. Anne was drawn to the fact that she felt as if she had aged back in time. She definitely felt younger.
When she stood up near the bed. She felt slightly offended. Why was she so short?
She couldn't accept the fact.
She decided there and then to explore. Anne headed straight to the door and twisted its handle. She first peeked outside trying to see if everything was safe, for precautions.
She stepped out of her safe place. She looked to her left and saw another door. Anne decided to ignore it, despite her curiosity. It was rude to look into other people's rooms without their permission.
With nowhere left to go she headed downstairs. Anne marvelled at the sight of the living room. However, she was interrupted when she heard footsteps nearby.
She didn't want to be caught however fear seemed to freeze her right on the spot. Anne was afraid of what was going to happen to her.
Maybe the person would be so kind as to let her stay for a few days. Though, Anne knew that her chances would be low. She then thought of Henry.
What if maybe she was going to be beheaded and it was all just a dream?!
What if the guards were after her?!
That was enough for her to start spiralling.
Her breathing hitched, her vision was starting to blur. Anne was down to her knees trying to control her panic, concentrating on pushing those thoughts away.
The more she desperately tried, the more it seemed to worsen. Anne was starting to feel helpless, hot tears streaming down her cheeks.
She kept on trying. to calm herself down but it would not avail.
It was for a bit until she heard a woman's voice she assumed was directed towards her.
"Calm down and breathe." A soft and comforting voice.
She couldn't pinpoint the origin of the voice however she recognized the voice. It was the voice of a woman whom she used to despise. It was the voice of someone who she believed to be dead.
She couldn't think straight during her current state. She decided on finding out later. She focused on listening to the comforting voice.
"Breathe in and out." The person instructed.
Anne continued on following the instructions being given to her. After repeating the same motion for about five minutes, she was able to go back into her normal state.
It was tiring for her, she subconsciously laid her head on the latter who helped her. Anne didn't know who it was, however she knew that she could trust that said person.
"What's your name?".
Anne looked at the origin of the voice. When she turned to see the face of the woman she was hit by another sense of familiarity though she couldn't put her finger around it.
The woman was very beautiful with skin a bit darker than her own. Anne hesitated but continued.
"I'm Anne Boleyn". She replied.
Anne didn't get why the woman's expression contorted to one of shock before her face went devoid of any emotion for a bit, then returned to normal.
"A-Anne is that really you?" The woman stuttered.
"It's me, Catherine." The woman continued.
Notes:
Since my one week school break is done, updates will a be a bit slower since my workload has started to increase.
Anyway see ya again on chapter 4
P.S. I'm currently working on chapter 4 so don't worry about that.
Chapter 4: Questioning
Chapter Text
July 1,2018
London, England
"It's me Catherine." The woman in front of Anne said.
Anne's eyes immediately widened. Catherine? That Catherine? Being kind to her. Her of all people. She couldn't believe it. What had actually happened?
"I've known a lot of Catherines in my life". Anne dryly replied not being able to properly process what was happening.
Catherine thankfully was good at reading people so she understood Anne's questioning face.
"How about we sit down shall we?" Catherine gestured towards the sofa.
Anne and Catherine sat down, with the latter mostly carrying the former through their little journey.
Anne just sat in awkward silence thinking about her current predicament. First, she was brought back to life and next, met Catherine of Aragon who was being kind to her all of a sudden, her of all people!. She was so lost in thought that she failed to notice Catherine getting up and going to the kitchen to fetch Anne a glass of water.
It was until Anne saw Catherine return and put the said glass of water on the coffee table in front of her. Catherine knew that it was better this way than shoving it onto her hands after all, Anne just had a breakdown a minute ago and had a chance to react horribly again.
Anne shoved the glass of water instantly into her mouth, but not before citing a little thank you to Catherine, her voice, Catherine noticed, was a bit raspy.
When Anne finished her drinking she took a deep breath and she immediately whipped her head to face Catherine.
"Why?!"
Anne asked furiously while she pointed at Catherine. The said lady shot a glare at the fuming girl, with a confused expression. She was also surprised with Anne's sudden outburst.
"Why what?"
Catherine questioned back trying to understand what Anne meant. Anne only seemed to increase her rage upon hearing Catherine's response.
"Why are you so nice to me? Wasn't I the one who ruined your life? Didn't I separate you from your daughter? Surely you must have something against me!"
Catherine just stared in shocked silence as she understood what Anne had meant. After all, Catherine lost a lot of things because of Anne. Her marriage, daughter, crown. As much as Catherine wanted to shoot Anne down she decided to instead approach the situation more calmly.
"I may be your rival but I still care about what happens to you, sure we may have had a very rocky relationship back then but that was back in the past." Catherine paused and faced Anne.
" After all, I know that you didn't want to be even with Henry in the first place." Catherine reasoned with Anne.
"H-How did you know?". Anne replied, clearly shocked while her anger started to die out."I never told anyone about that detail. How the hell did she know that?" Anne thought.
"You don't need to know!''. Catherine blurted out. She hesitated but she sighed before continuing.
"Besides, we suffered because of Henry. Besides the both of us were brought back to enjoy a new life plus, I wouldn't want us to fight about what has happened in the past"
Anne knew Catherine's side and understood what she meant and began to calm down, while both of them sat in awkward silence. Catherine stood up.
"Since you just woke up, how about a meal? Based on my experience I'm guessing you must be starving right now."
As if on cue Anne's tummy gave out a low grumble confirming Catherine's statement was true. Anne's cheeks started burning, expressing clearly she was embarrassed. Catherine meanwhile, gave out a quiet chuckle.
"I guess I am." Anne gave out a small
laugh though she was still a bit embarrassed. Anne and Catherine went into the kitchen with the latter leading the former.
While Anne sat down at the table Catherine explained what she knew about modern technology and what it has to do with cooking foods while continuing her cooking session, with Anne hanging onto every word.
Dinner passed surprisingly well. Catherine told Anne about what has changed since their time. Anne was loving how much the world now changed for the better with women finally being able to have a voice. Since Anne had spent some time with Mary she told Catherine stories about her.
After their discussion both bid each other goodnight before separating to go to their respective rooms. Anne explored more of her room and found a lot of things.
It was about time for Anne to go to sleep however, she was only able to sleep for a bit before flashbacks of her death would attack her mind and she would immediately touch her neck. All she could do was stare at her bedroom ceiling.
She was bored to say the least. She wouldn't want to risk sleeping and getting a nightmare that would make her more sleepless so she had only one thing to do. Go downstairs and watch something on what they call a "tv".
She silently went downstairs and opened the said thing. During their discussion earlier Catherine thankfully showed her how to operate the flat rectangular flat box. She flipped through the different channels available before finding the one that was just right.
She kept her eyes on the tv. She continued watching until her eyes started to droop slowly but surely, she was starting to fall asleep.
A few minutes later Catherine went downstairs to check the noise that was making Catherine not being able to fall asleep properly. She was surprised when she went into the living room.
The room was dimly lit by the light coming from the tv. Catherine went to take the remote that was left on the coffee table to shut off the tv. She was astounded when instead of the empty sofa, she was instead greeted by a figure whom she instantly recognized as Anne. "So that explains the snoring". Catherine thought slightly amused.
She began thinking why was Anne here instead of her own room? Until Catherine was able to piece together what may have happened. Reminding herself of the younger woman's horrifying and sad fate she felt pity for the girl. Catherine thought for a moment on what she should do but she immediately knew what she'd do.
Catherine swiftly headed back upstairs into Anne's room and took a blanket and also in her own room and took the novel she was reading and returned back to the living room. She took the blanket and covered Anne with it.
Catherine knew that Anne may have had a terrible nightmare which caused her to watch tv instead of sleep. She sat down at the edge of the sofa at the side where Anne's feet were and started reading her novel. She knew that if Anne woke up from a nightmare she would be able to comfort her instantly.
Unknown to Catherine, Anne subconsciously smiled at Catherine's gesture even though she was asleep she somehow knew. After all, they only have each other.

London, England
Anne woke up when she smelt something amazing coming from the kitchen. It was something undeniably different. She had never been able to smell something like this in her past life.
As curiosity started eating her she jumped out of the soft object she was previously laying on. Her body seemed to switch on autopilot as her mind was currently out of her own body.
"Oh, Good Morning Anne!"
Catherine of Aragon greeted Anne. This snapped Anne out of her train of thoughts.
"Mornin'"
Anne groggily let out while rubbing her eyes. She suddenly looked at Catherine with a look of curiosity. The said woman shot a genuine smile at the newly awoken woman.
“What is that amazing smell?”
“Oh, you must have smelt the pancakes. For breakfast” Catherine tilted her head to the direction of the currently cooking pancakes. Anne raised both of her eyebrows.
“What exactly are pancakes?” Anne asked back with Catherine mentally facepalming herself.”Oh right she just arrived.”
After their conversation Catherine spent her entire morning and tried teaching Anne how to cook using modern technology. Everything went smoothly for Anne's cooking lesson except for when Anne added a lot of sugar.
Catherine and Anne's morning went surprisingly well. Honestly if their past selves would see their current predicament they would not believe it with their own eyes. After all, both of them wouldn't be able to bear other if they were in the same room, there was always a chance of a screaming match between the both of them if they had even the slightest eye contact. Even their ladies in wating have caught sight of thisand would excuse themselves for about what's to come.
In the present Anne was left alone at home since Catherine had to go shopping. Anne was invited to go with Catherine; however, Anne declined; she was still was frightened to go outside , afraid of judgemental and penetrating glares from other people it made her uneasy. After skimming through the different British channels she found an interest in a show called Horrible Histories.
After watching for about 10 minutes Anne was instantly addicted to the show.
Like really.
She was interested in learning information after her death. So a show about history drew her in. Of course she enjoyed every bit of it until…
A song about Henry VIII and his six wives appeared on the screen.
Anne kept her eyes glued to the tv screen watching every moment listening to every word. Her expression morphed more and more devoid of emotion. She was stunned.
"It can't be true." She thought.
She turned the tv off. "I need to find out if that was true or not" Anne frowned.
"But where? I don't even know how to use a phone yet." Anne put her hand on her chin.
Then an idea shot her. In a heartbeat she ran in the direction of the library. Her eyes rapidly scanning each book section her body passed until she came across the History section.
In each part of the shelf there were labels of the year and what era the books contained information.
Anne came across the Tudor Era section, her eyes shortly reading all of the book titles. Most of the books had similar titles about Henry and his Six Wives.
Just reading about 10 book titles containing the same topic confirmed Anne's newly discovered info.
She struggled in calming herself back however she managed. It was then when the adrenaline left her body she was able to spot a table and chair in the corner with the table having three bulky books with its contents widely opened for all to see.
She sat down and started to read the said books. Anne first started on the book nearest to her. She noticed that in the first few pages of the book some of the words were highlighted yellow. There also were sticky notes of the same colour near the word highlighted with what seemed to be corrections. Anne recognized the handwriting that seemed to belong to Catherine.
Upon the sight an idea struck her mind. She ran across the whole house back to her room. She quickly snatched the green highlighter, sticky notes with said colour and a pen on her bedside table. Carrying all the items back to the library but before returning back to the library she first went into the kitchen, placed the items onto the table and started pouring herself some coffee.
While she was finished halfway in pouring the coffee she heard the living door slam with an accompanied "I'm Home" and a few seconds later saw Catherine entering the kitchen with two grocery bags.
"How was shopping?"
"Not really enjoyable." Catherine tiredly responded. Annr stifled a laugh.
"So what did you do?" Catherine started to put the shopped items into the cabinets.
"Just watched an amazing show called "Horrible Histories". Anne finished pouring herself her coffee.
"What's it about?" Anne looked at Catherine with an uneasy frown.
"It's a show about History"
At that Catherine's eyes widened and she frowned. She let out a sigh. "So I'm guessing you found out huh."
"Yup honestly, I'm not surprised considering it's he who shall not be named we're talking about." Catherine couldn't hold back a snort. Anne's frown was replaced with an amused smile.
"Anyway I'm gonna be continuing the project you started to work on". She picked up her stuff along with her hot coffee."Call me at the library if you need me." Anne waved at Catherine not looking back, continuing her previous objective.
Catherine smiled at the interaction. They were starting to feel like a family. Catherine continued her job, holding a joyous smile.
Anne started working on the chapter of the book about her. She was reading the information written when her eyes read a phrase.
Anne Boleyn was also maternal cousins with Katherine Howard, Henry's fifth wife who also followed the fate of being beheaded just like her cousin. However, unlike Boleyn, Howard was executed by an axeman while Boleyn was executed via a sword and by a professional french swordsman.
"What?" Anne was appalled by the newly learnt information. While she felt dread for her cousin's fate she was ecstatic with the fact of meeting her cousin. Even though she wasn't sure of it she knew from the bottom of her heart, she would come.
Anne continued her work taking a few sips from her coffee. She kept on working until Catherine called her for lunchtime.
Anne sat down at one side of the table and smiled at Catherine. "You won't guess what I found out" Anne jumped at her seat. Catherine flinched at the sudden change of Anne's mood but quickly smiled back.
"What is it?" Catheribe raised her eyebrow.
"You know Katherine Howard right, you know the fifth wife?" Catherine nodded curious at what Anne's enthusiasm came from.
"Well it turns out..." Anne took a long breath.
"We're cousins!" Anne joyfully shouted.
"Really?" Catherine gave out a srifled chuckle.
"Yes! My mother and her father we're siblings!"
"Ok, ok calm down" Catherine responded with amusement visible on her face.
They spent the whole entire afternoon talking about random things that changed in the modern world.
Unbeknownst to the both of them right next to Anne's room a new outline of a door appeared emitting a silver glow.
That night while Anne was watching Horrrible History and Catherine quietly reading her novel a weak knock from their door caused the both of them to look apaulled.
Who would be knocking that late?
"I'll go check it out." Anne said, lowering the volume of the tv. "Be careful" Catherine returned to reading her novel and went into her room however she focused on hearing who was at the door.
Anne gave out a breath before turning the door knob.
Anne was greeted with a blonde woman taller than her but was shorter than Catherine. The woman had soft brown eyes that seemed to shine over the moonlight. The woman was shivering. Even though it was nearly summer at night it would be cold as if winter was among them.
Anne was hit with a sense of familiarity upon setting eyes on the woman.
Without question, Anne hurriedly moved to the side and let the woman in. Anne hastily shut the door behind them and led the woman to the kitchen and let her sit down.
Anne took a glass of water and handed it to the woman. "Thank you" The blonde politely said. Anne went back to her room and took her fluffy green blanket and returned to the kitchen.
"Hi there!" Her voice soft.
"Here take this blanket, it'll keep you warm." She handed the blanket to the stranger and the said person wrapped it around herself snuggling it tighter.
"I'm Anne, what's your name miss?" Anne held out her hand upon hearing the latter's name the woman seemed to flinch.
"I-Im Jane." She weakly shook Anne's hand upon feeling Jane's hand Anne immediately flinched at the coldness of her hand.
"Woah! Your hands are pretty cold. Wait here." Anne said, returning back to her room.
She rapidly searched in her closet and found a pair of soft warm gloves. Anne went back to the woman."Here try these on"
The woman slowly put on the gloves.
"Thank you, miss." Jane trailed off.
"Just call me Anne."
"Do you have a place to stay?" Jane shakes her head.
"Then is it ok for you to stay here with me. We have no guest bedroom but you can sleep in my room." Anne pointed to the stairs in the living room leading up to both her and Catherine's rooms.
Anne took Jane to her room and let her lie down in bed.
"Call me if you need anything, ok?" Anne looked back at Jane before turning the lights off.
"My full name's Jane Seymour, thank you for your help". Anne's face contorted to one of shock before whipping her head, smiling back at the woman.
"Your Welcome, Jane."
Anne left the room paler than her usual complexion. Anne looked at the door to her left and hesitated before knocking. Anne heard shuffling at the other side of the door before it opened revealing a sleepy Catherine.
"Oh hi Anne! What happened?" Catherine's face was scrunched with concern.
"Is it okay if I stay with you for a bit? You don't need to say yes." Catherine noticed how Anne's eyes appeared tired. Catherine let Anne into her room. Anne was silent for a few minutes after but she uttered one phrase. "Jane Seymour is here."

Chapter Text
October 24, 1537
Hampton Court, England
Jane was exhausted. After long two days and three nights of being in labour she had finally been able to give birth to a healthy young baby boy. She was so excited for the years of motherhood to come.
Ever since being a child, she dreamed of bearing children of her own and caring for them. Just by being around kids makes her smile. When she found out that she can also have children she was very optimistic. It was truly a dream come true for her to become a mother.
She had never been so happy in her life just by seeing her son, Edward. When the lain on her stomach ceased, she heard a baby's loud cry fill the spacious room. Jane smiled at her baby boy in the hands of one of the maids present.
However, after Jane gave birth she was struck with illness. It has been 2 weeks since her boy was born and her condition worsened day by day. She was so sick that she couldn't get out of bed.
She was so, so tired, she felt her eyes dropping without her control and slowly but surely she couldn't open them anymore. She couldn't control her eyes and open them, she desperately tried, multiple times but with no success. Jane also tried moving her body but to no avail, it seemed like her whole body was paralyzed.
All she saw was endless darkness, an endless void. It wasn't until she suddenly felt the chilling, icy cold.
July 2, 2018
Jane regained her sense of touch out of nowhere, she was confused. She tried opening her eyes, while she struggled she succeeded, slowly opening her eyes to the world.
Jane then tried to move her body, just like opening her eyes. It was a struggle but still she succeeded at the task at hand. She looked around. She looked around her surroundings. It was when she looked at her feet that Jane saw a letter.
She bent down grabbing the said paper. Jane gently unfolded it and saw a lot of words. While Jane was able to read, she wasn't that good in that station, with it also applying in writing. Still she was taught enough to be able to read words and write.
Greetings, your highness.
I address this letter to you, her highness, Jane Seymour. About your current predicament, I recommend knocking at the door of the house near your location for the people present will assist you. That is all.
Jane looked behind her and notices the said house. She hesitated but started walking in the direction of the house. Each step she took filled her with anxiety. Her bare foot stepping on the cold cement. She stopped at the front door, her thoughts spiralling non stop. Her body was in a frozen state, thinking if it was the right or wrong thing to do.
The cold wasn't helping either, she was shivering. She contemplated for a moment but then she knocked at the door 3 times.
Why did you do that?. Her mind was plagued by similar terms and phrases.
It was when she heard the door open that she snapped back to reality. The light from the inside of the house passed through the door with the silhouette of a short woman on the door.
Upon the sight of the woman Jane noticed that she looked like someone she knew who should be dead but is she really one to talk. She was just in the grasp of death a few moments earlier. Jane was sceptical of the woman but accepted her help.
The woman helped her even by lending Jane objects that helped in keeping her warm, she had stopped shivering. She was still weary near the woman. Jane immediately snapped out of her thoughts.
What are you thinking Jane? She helped you. Be thankful! She scolded herself for being so ungrateful, a twisted knot in her stomach formed.
Jane thanked the woman and introduced herself when Anne, as she called herself and told her own full name to Anne. Jane noticed for a moment that upon hearing her name the woman paled. Jane decided on getting herself a restful sleep before investigating.
"Jane Seymour is here." Anne held her breath looking down. Catherine's expression quickly changed to shock.
"Really? Are you sure it's her?" Anne nodded
"She said it herself and Jane looks exactly like her." Catherine was deep in thought.
"I think I may know who else will join us. I'll tell you tomorrow morning, you'll need to get some sleep."
Anne agreed. She was tired with how much information was revealed to her. It drained her energy really.
"How about you try sleeping here in my room? I can sleep downstairs on the sofa." Catherine suggested.
"Are you sure? I can manage sleeping on the couch" Anne tried to decline Catherine's request.
"Don't worry you deserve it. Plus considering the event that transpired today." Anne figured there's no way she would be able to win the argument so she agreed. She drifted to sleep while Catherine went out of the door.
Catherine headed outside her room. There was also another reason why she offered her room to Anne. She had to do some digging. First she looked at the door on her right. She peered into the room and saw a blonde woman in Anne's bed. She gently closed the door and looked again to her right and saw a new door with a silver outline. She concluded that it was Jane's room.
When she matched the empty side of the hallway to the one with doors she was quick to notice how the number of doors would be exactly 6 doors which confirmed her interpretive reasoning.
Catherine took her time to prepare herself some tea and went inside the library. She spent the whole night finding out more information about the other queen consorts. She found out a whole lot of facts both good and bad and needless to say she wanted to be more prepared than ever and suddenly she started reading psychology books for preparation.
When it was 12:00 she went to the living room and laid down on the couch which may not be as soft as her own bed but she dealt with it. Catherine drifted off to the realm of dreams where she would be able to rest.

Chapter Text
July 3, 2018
London, England
Jane opened her eyes to be greeted by the light seeping through one of the window curtains in the room. She rubbed her eyes, turning her head away so her eyes could avoid the bright light.
Jane was sleeping in a room with green walls in a queen sized bed (get it?). She immediately knew that this wasn't her room. The events of last night were fuzzy in Jane's mind but slowly something in Jane's mind clicked.
She quickly stood up from her daze and quickly made the bed. Jane remembered the woman who helped her last night."That's right, a kind woman helped me. What was her name?". In her daze she failed to notice nor hear the door of the room opening.
"Oh it seems you've woken up." A voice brought her back to the present. She whipped her head in the direction of the door. There appeared a woman with a skin a bit darker than her own, the lady had curly hair with Jane being a few centimetres shorter than her.
In her past life Jane met different people with different origins, suffice to say Jane quickly knew that the lady was Spanish. Another fact that helped in Jane making her hypothesis was that the woman had an accent she had heard multiple times before.
But Jane focused on the woman's face. She had definitely met this person before.
Jane opened her mouth to speak, but before she could say a word the woman beat her to it.
"How about we go downstairs before speaking?" Jane thought for a bit before nodding her head.
Jane followed the woman out of the room and toward the dining room. She looked at all the decorations adorning the hallway during their way. She noticed that the house lacked decorations. It was a bit empty; the shelves hanging didn't have any contents.
Jane passed through the familiar rooms and they made it to the dining room where there was a huge table in the middle of the room with multiple chairs surrounding the said furniture. It had a very welcoming presence. Jane sat down in one of the chairs while the woman went into the kitchen and returned in one hand, with a plate with freshly baked pancakes while on the other, maple syrup as Jane read. The woman put the said items on the table, near Jane. She thanked the woman.
"I'm Catherine by the way." The woman, Catherine, sat down on the other side of the table facing Jane. Jane smiled and started to eat . That's when she noticed something. Wait, what!" Jane immediately looked at Catherine, dumbfounded.
"A-Aragon?"
Catherine smiled."The one and only".
Tears began to fill the corners of Jane's eyes. That's when a spark of realisation hit her. Last night when she just arrived there was a kind woman who helped her. She subconsciously gave out a deep breath.
"So the woman from last night was her? Anne?"
Jane glared at Catherine waiting for a response. Jane held her breath and bit her lip. After a bit of an awkward silence Catherine looked at Jane straight in the eyes and nodded.
Jane released her breath. Looking down her lips pursing. As if on cue both Jane and Catherine heard a yawn come from the entrance of the room. Both of them turned their heads to face the sleepy mess before them.
"G'morning Cath!" Anne rubbed her eyes and turned her head to Catherine. She then turned her head to face Jane.
"Oh, G'morning Jane!" She waved at the said woman. She then sat down near Catherine with both their eyes trailing Anne, on her way. She was struck with realisation.
"Wha-? Jane!? You're here?!" Jane flinched at the sudden increase of the volume of Anne's voice. She could do nothing but wave awkwardly at Anne. While Anne could stare at Jane, her mouth widely opened.
They stayed in this stance until Catherine gave out a cough reminding the two of her presence."How about we eat before the food runs cold?".
Anne didn't argue as they all awkwardly and slowly ate while noticeable tension permeated the air in every passing second. Jane dislikes the feeling. It reminds her of times she would rather forget. Times with him. Times where if she didn't follow orders, horrible things would happen. Times she wished would end back then. She half expectedly waited for him to show up keeping her eyes on both the entrance into the dining room. She knew there was no way of that occurring but she still did it.
That's when she noticed something she hadn't seen before. She was less perceptive than usual the night of her arrival with the probable reason being that she was still in a constant state of shock, but now she was calm enough to notice a few more details compared to last night.
While quietly munching on her pancakes she noticed a scar on Anne. It had a colour darker than her skin. It was uneven when viewed from different angles. She stared for a while. It wasn't until Anne seemed to notice and looked back at Jane, the latter stared down shame filling her. She knew for a fact that she was the one responsible for the scar."Jane, what were you thinking? Staring at other people and at Anne and her scar knowless. You should be ashamed of yourself". Her thoughts scolding herself.
She was lost in her self-loathe that her hands holding a fork began to shake. This didn't go unnoticed by the two. Anne was the first to notice she stopped eating and stared at Jane. She would be lying if she wasn't concerned for the blonde. Catherine followed right after she noticed Anne suddenly, stopping her eyes alternating between the two, her face contorting to one of concern.
"You're the problem, such impoliteness. Look at what you've done. If it wasn't for your actions Boleyn wouldn't have suffered an unfaithful end." She couldn't stop the thoughts. Her breathing hitched. Panic and anxiety filled every end of her body.
"You're a horrible mother who would leave their child like that?". She felt a hot tear slide down her cheeks. Letting go of the items she previously held she clutched her ears. She was hyperventilating.
"She's starting to hyperventilate!" Anne shouted, her legs moving faster than she'd ever ran. Catherine followed Anne. Unfortunately Jane wasn't able to hear both of them. She could only hear her blood rushing between her ears.
Anne put her hand on Jane's left shoulder trying to calm the latter down. It was an action of good intention, it was a gesture of comfort. Jane however, was disoriented so she saw something different. She was lost in the past and present. What she felt was different; it wasn't comfort but rather anger.
Jane wasn't able to hold it in.
"I-Im so..rry".She said between shaky breaths. "Henry, please forgive me. I'm sorry I di-dn't mean to do it. I p-promise I won't do it again. Pl-ease don't hit me." She pleaded.
Catherine and Anne could only look at each other's eyes, pity clearly evident on their faces.
Jane expected a painful slap but after a moment, she felt something warm envelope her body fully. It was something she rarely felt.
Thanks to the warmth she was able to calm her breathing down.
Anne didn't expect Jane to react that horribly. She knew for a fact the moment Jane flinched as soon as her hand made contact with Jane's shoulder. She was starting to panic. She didn't know what to do. Her whole body was frozen. Part of her was happy that the person who stole him was in pain. Still the other part of her, the more gentle and caring side was concerned for the shaking woman. Anne wondered what could have caused Jane to spiral. However what Jane said gave Anne the answer.
"I-Im so..rry".She said between shaky breaths. "Henry, please forgive me. I'm sorry I di-dn't mean to do it. I p-promise I won't do it again. Pl-ease don't hit me."
Anne froze at that. What did she say? Anne was dumbstruck at the statement. She was surprised to hear this. As if her body was faster than her own mind she immediately took Jane into her arms enveloping her into a comforting and warm hug.
Anne sighed as the previously shaking girl calmed down after a moment of being in Anne's arms. Anne looked at Catherine with the Spaniard giving Anne a gentle smile. After a while Catherine left to wash the dishes while Anne was still holding Jane. With Jane's lack of movement Anne speculated that the former fell into a deep sleep that Anne hopefully thinks is a dream of happiness.

Chapter 8: A Prediction
Summary:
When Catherine wonders at Henry's actions towards Jane she asks Anne.
Chapter Text
July 3, 2018
London, England
Catherine didn’t expect hearing a confession straight from Jane about Henry and his wrongdoings, she was shaken to the core. She couldn’t imagine what the others have gone through. While she wanted to ask what other things he did to Jane she kept her mouth shut. Catherine already just discovered what a single touch did to Jane. Comfort was what Jane needed for now Catherine thought.
If Catherine would be honest, if she was given a chance to meet Henry again she would gladly do the honour of punching him in the face. After all, it was only now she realised how much being with him traumatised her and the others. Still she focused on the task at hand. While Anne was enveloping Jane in a warm hug Catherine took the plates and left to wash them in the kitchen.
While washing the dishes Catherine’s mind was in another world. She was thinking about the words that came out of Jane’s mouth. Sure, while she was queen Henry cared about her heck, when he would apologise if he accidentally hit Catherine. What would have happened that caused Henry to be more tyrannical and uncaring? Catherine decided on asking Anne maybe she knew. Catherine was sure Anne had something, something she was sure of.
To say Anne hated hugging that would be a lie. Hugging is a very amazing thing to experience. Anne could agree to that statement. While being a queen is a thing to experience, it could also be very stressful at the same time especially when there are a lot of things to deal with, there were times Anne got a huge amount of headaches just because of stress. However, Anne was used to hugging her baby, Elizabeth when she was stressed it helped a mile in calming her nerves down. Suffice to say Anne was a hugger and she was good at it.
So when she watched Jane fall to her knees and started to tremble, having some sort of panic attack, Anne swiftly did what she did best, hugging people. Anne threw herself towards Jane, keeping the blonde still. For the first few moments Jane was still shaking however as every second passed she stopped shaking like a leaf and a bit later her breathing became even. Her only objective was to become a pillar of support for Jane. Anne couldn’t even notice that Jane started to fall asleep. It wasn’t until she carried herself along with the blonde to the couch in the Living room.
Anne couldn’t blame her hugs for being one of the best things in the world. She was enjoying the moment while it could last. However, perhaps she was enjoying it so much. Her eyes seemed to grow tired every moment until Anne joined Jane to the realm of dreams.
Catherine was surprised with the sight that awaited her upon entering the Dining Room. Anne and Jane weren’t present. She had started to panic. It wasn't until she rushed into the living room did she see both the two queens she was looking for. She melted at the sight.
While Anne was short she was certainly strong, Catherine was appalled and amused at the same time. Even though she wanted to look at the two for the whole time, still for privacy she left the other two as she went back into her room and sat on her chair. She reminded herself of asking Anne.
Anne woke up with the feeling of being shaken awake. Panic started to take over her but it wasn't when she heard Catherine’s voice urging her to wake up. With her body aching from the weird position while she was sleeping she glared at Catherine and with a hint of annoyance in her voice she asked Catherine why she woke her up. Catherine gestured using her head and mouthing “We should talk ''.
Anne didn’t really want to deal with Catherine right now. She was dealing with another problem….Wait what problem exactly?
Anne, with the memories of previous events hitting her in full force, she looked down and noticed a blonde woman in her arms in a peaceful state of sleep. Anne tried to pull away gently but it seems Jane was stuck to her like glue. She tried again but to no avail so with a look of annoyance she turned to Catherine who was trying so hard to not giggle. Anne rolled her eyes at the older woman’s antics.
“If you want to talk then would you be so kind as to help me?”
They spent the next few moments struggling to get Jane out of Anne’s arms. When they were able to accomplish their task at hand, Anne looked at Jane.
“Man I didn’t know she had a tight hold, compared to Beth.” Anne smiled at the memory before shaking her head and turning to face Catherine. The previous soft and gentle tone of her voice shifting into a more serious tone along with her face.
“Based on your tone a moment ago, does it involve him?”
Catherine silently nodded. Both of them headed into the kitchen, Catherine pouring two cups of tea. She took one of the cups and handed it over to where Anne sat.
“I just wanted to ask you something.” Anne took a sip from her cup before raising an eyebrow.
“Well then ask me quickly, I don't have all day.” Anne huffed out. While it's true she and Catherine moved past the Henry thing Anne still cannot properly stand being in the same room with her. In Anne’s mind it was complicated. Even Catherine both of them didn't know what to feel of each other
“When you were ma-with Henry did something happen that had caused him to be more tyrannical?” Anne caught the fact that Catherine refused to say the word married still she paid no mind to it. She instead focused on digging in her memories of her old life. No memories came to her mind however, she did remember an event.
“I think I know why, though I’m not sure.” Anne looked at Catherine as if asking for permission. At that Catherine gave an encouraging nod. Anne deeply sighed.
“Three years have passed since our ma-agreement to love each other. There was this event where it included jousting and you know how much he loves that. So he jousted however an incident happened, he fell off his horse and had a rough fall he hit his head on the ground.”
Anne laughed at the memory. Meanwhile the first queen was deep in her thoughts. Anne stopped her laughing and looked at Catherine.
“Anyway, since you got your turn to ask, how about me next?”
Catherine snapped out of her train of thoughts.
“Last night when Jane came, you said that you had an idea of who else would arrive. May I ask who exactly?” Anne excitedly asked, the tense atmosphere that permeated the air now turning into a more lighthearted one.
“You're going to like this.” Catherine smirked back at Anne.
"I'm pretty sure you know the other women he married right after Jane."
Anne's eyes widened."So she is." Anne replied with excitement."Katherine will be joining us?". With a glint of hope she stared into Aragon's eyes.
"Well I'm about 80% sure that is true and that percentage will increase if the next person to arrive is Cleves". Anne smiled.
Sure while they aren't sure she still is hopeful in meeting her.

Chapter Text
July 3, 2018
London, England
Jane was embarrassed. She was embarrassed because of her breakdown(?) as Catherine called it. After dealing with her flustered state she decided to get some water at the kitchen.
Then a thought occurred to her. If she wanted to get some water she'd have to pass through the kitchen. Without some sort of noise coming from the living room she concluded that they'd be in the Dining room or Kitchen. Either way she'd have to run into Anne and Catherine or worse talk to them!
Jane thought for a while but decided to get water later. She instead explored the huge house. First Jane went upstairs and she was drawn by the door on the right side which had a silver door frame. She didn't know why but she had the feeling of entering the room. Somehow Jane was drawn to turn the doorknob and did as said.
She was met with a room with walls painted grey with multiple furniture. She felt as if this room belonged to her.
She approached the bed and spread herself letting herself relax and forget all her worries. In the comfort of her own room she stayed there until a familiar voice called out to her.
....
Anne was currently sitting on the couch remote in hand, switching throughout the multiple channels on the tv bored out of her mind. After her conversation with Catherine she decided to watch tv to forget the events that had just transpired.
Right there and then Anne just had the magnificent idea of going outside to see the world. After all, who wouldn't get tired with just staying all day in a house? It was boring! Plus, maybe going outside would help Jane recover from the previous events and maybe she’ll know how much the world has changed!
She proposed her idea to Catherine to be meet with “Are okay with that?” , with Anne being the stubborn person she insisted that they need to. Catherine couldn't handle Anne's pleas (and her stubbornness) so she of course gave in.
"How about bringing Jane with us?" Anne asked her hopeful, eyes suddenly shining."Well you should go ask her then." Catherine answered back, taken aback by her request.
In a flash, Anne ran off like a little kid upon hearing Catherine's response, Catherine chuckled at this interaction and continued whatever thing she was doing.
…
Jane reluctantly jumped off her bed and approached the door. She hesitated for a moment before turning the knob. Anne was happily standing in front of her room.
"So… " Anne trailed awkwardly. "Me and Catherine decided to go out. You wanna come?"
Jane gave a thought before nodding at the smaller woman. "A breath of fresh air would be nice". Anne gave out a wide smile aimed at Jane.
At this Anne lit up. "Ok, we're going after lunch." Anne said while running off to her room. Jane immediately retracted back to her room swiftly. Jane smiled at herself even though she was filled with anxiety to the brim.
All she could do now is sleep and hopefully she'll be fully rested enough
...
Jane was in Hampton Court walking around its long empty halls with each of her steps echoing throughout. She was all alone with no other person in sight. It went like this for a while until she spotted a little dot in the distance.
She ran curious to who the person was. When she was at enough distance to see the person she was tearing up. The little dot she just saw was a boy with ginger hair. When she recognized the figure she rushed forward opening her arms trying to hug the boy. But as soon as her hand made contact the boy that was right there vanished into thin air. Jane of course stumbled forward hopeful looking in all directions seeing any signs of a boy.
….
Anne ran into her own room after asking Jane to come; she was overjoyed. She quietly punched the air for her win accompanied with a "YES!". When she cooled down she went to find Catherine to report Jane's response.
It was there and then when her neck started to itch. She was always careful of her scar with the fear of it reopening. She realised, her eyes widening. "What about my scar?". Anne ran to her closet in search of something that can cover the dark line visible around her neck.
After digging through the pile of clothes she was able to find a scarf. It was green and with a beautiful pattern coloured in white.”Perfect” Anne thought while smiling to herself.
…
While the first 3 queens were in their own house minding their own businesses a red outline of a door appeared. When Anne ran to the 2nd floor bathroom she swiftly passed through the said outline to see herself in the mirror with her scarf. However, when she went back to her own room she spotted it.” This wasn’t here before”.Anne thought while she approached the glowing outline with curiosity. She brushed her hand on the said line before quickly calling Catherine's name.
Anne heard loud footsteps approach her location. "Take a look at this." Anne said when the footsteps came to a stop which indicated she was already there.
…
Jane suddenly woke up from her own nightmare. She was covered in pure sweat. Jane pushed down her memories of her dream and headed straight out of her room, her objective to get a glass of water. She stopped in the hallway when she saw Catherine and Anne gathered around the empty corner of the hallway.
Curious, she went near both of them."What's going on here?" She asked. Anne responded to her by gesturing to her to come closer.
"Take a look at this." Anne said while moving out of the way for Jane to be able to look at the strange glowing outline coloured red.
"What does this mean?" Jane confusingly asked. Anne shrugged out having no clue of what this meant. Catherine meanwhile turned to face the two women, her face a showing concern.
"Another someone is coming."
Anne and Jane just shared a look at each other in surprise not knowing how to react.

Chapter Text
-July 16, 1557-
Anna Von Cleves or Anne of Cleves had just finished writing her will. After all, she had a lot of fortune given to her by the king. Sure, she appreciated the King's gifts but she still didn't like his character. It was only a matter of time before she got her head cut off like his previous wife Anne Boleyn. She had to play with his cards right or it was off with her head.
Her life was eventful, to say the least. At least now she would be able to rest. Anna gave out a tired sigh as she let pain engulf her own body, closing her own eyes. It felt like she was being carried to the afterlife.
When she opened her eyes once more she could only see infinite darkness, and no more than that. Her ability to move was taken away. It was like she was paralyzed.
She spent a long time in that world. It wasn't until she saw bright lights approach her and she let take her wherever the light pleases.
-London, England-
-July 2018-
"Someone will be joining us." Catherine calmly stated. Jane's eyes widened, clearly shocked as she took a glance at Anne on her side.
"Who?" Jane asked still surprised, while Anne was grinning widely beside Jane.
"Anne of Cleves."
"How are you so sure Cleves would be joining us? What if it was someone else?" Jane asked, raising an eyebrow unsure of Catherine's statement. Anne approached Jane and put her hand on the latter's right shoulder.
"Well o'll Catherine here-" Anne faced Jane and gestured, her hand pointing Catherine,"noticed a pattern so we'll try and trusting her for now." Anne continued as Catherine went inside the newly made room silently.
Jane had no choice but to agree with Anne. They both waited for Catherine to come back, standing in silence.
"She's not in the room" Catherine stated while closing the door on her way out.
"How about downstairs?" Anne suggested while pointing to the stairs. Catherine shook her head, "She isn't at the living room nor the kitchen, if she was then I would have seen her when you called me here." Anne slouched.
"What if-" Jane gave a thoughtful look while Catherine and Anne looked at her, waiting for her conclusion, "Anne was teleported outside just like I was." Jane continued, raising her index finger.
"Of course, you must be right." Catherine exclaimed.
"If that's the case then we'd better go now!" Anne energetically said running down the stairs. "Is it just me or does Anne act more like a kid?" Jane asked as both her and Catherine followed the energetic bundle of joy. "Well I guess you're right." Catherine answered as she approached the door.
Jane's hidden concern for Anne of Cleves decided to show at that moment. "Still I'm worried for her." Jane murmured to herself albeit loudly that Catherine was able to hear it.
In response to this she put her hand on Jane's right shoulder, "Don't worry I'm sure she's fine." Catherine reassured her, a little sad smile made it on Jane's face, "I hope so" Jane thought while they made their way out of the house.
Anne and Jane stood by Catherine while she locked the door. Jane looked around, taken aghast by how much different the world looks in the modern world compared to their past life.
"Woah!" Anne exclaimed, spreading her arms, "I've seen the world through the t.v. before but seeing it yourself is whole nother' level!" Anne looked back at the two taller women.
Jane frantically looked around in search of Cleves. "How about we go to the park as intended? Maybe we'll have a chance of meeting her along the way?" Catherine reassured Jane yet again while Jane only nodded in response.
The walk to the park was short but to Jane it was long. She took her time in looking at every nook and cranny for any woman who was out of place. While Jane was filled with anxiety, Anne meanwhile took all the difference of London Architecture, jumping whenever she sees something new! Catherine was in the middle of chaos, making sure Jane didn't glare at one person for an extended period of time and making sure that Anne wasn't loud enough that it would bother other people or she would end up in other people's businesses.
If you were to ask Catherine, it was like motherhood all over again, except it was with two people rather than one and it was grown women not children. Catherine tiredly sighed at this, "This is going to be a long day".
By the time they entered the park Catherine was able to convince Jane to ''take it slow" and calm her down . Their mouths were hung open and eyes widened when they saw the beauty of the park.
The park was filled with green grass, stone pavements were pathways toward the different areas of the park with wooden benches on the sides for people to sit on. Trees surrounded the interior of the park, bright colourful flowers were near the trees.
"Woah! I've been to this park before." Anne stated, looking at the scenery before them.
"Wait! Are you sure?" Catherine asked. "Yeah I remember this place this used to be-" Anne trailed off, her joyfulness disappearing in an instant instead replacing it with a stoic and dreadful expression.
Catherine gave a look of concern and Jane did the same, Anne shook her head, also shaking her negative thoughts away.
"Anyway's if I remember correctly-" Anne started to walk in one of the stone pathways, "-there must be a lake in the middle of this park." Catherine and Jane followed Anne as she told stories, moments about her and Elizabeth spending time in the park in their past lives. Catherine noticed how Anne was considerate, avoiding stories that included Henry which was the best thing (in Catherine's mind) to do.
In honesty Anne Boleyn being considerate of one's feelings (and her of all people, her own rival!) was something Catherine had never seen, but Catherine focused herself in burying those memories and negative thoughts away in the back of her mind.
"Talking about the lake Anne, how often did you used to come here?" Jane asked, smiling at Anne's stories. However, despite her joyful expression instead she felt jealousy and envy, and she hid it well enough that the other two weren't able to notice.
Anne gave a thoughtful look, "I guess quite often, I think. I usually come here to calm my nerves and spend time with little Lizzy." Anne said while playing with her green scarf.
"Anyways we're here." Anne said while the two women were mesmerised by the sight before them.
The lake was an amazing sight, the waters were blue and it reflected the sun's light.
"I've been to multiple parks back then but I didn't get to enjoy the sights." Catherine said, all of them went and sat in one of the wooden benches. They sat there taking in the feeling of peacefulness.
"By the way, where did you get that scarf?" Jane asked, pointing at the green cloth of Anne's shoulder.
"Huh? Oh, I found it in my room's closet." Anne answered. Catherin was intrigued in what was put in her closet meanwhile Jane was dumbfounded.
"By the way what's a t.v.?" Jane asked, "Catherine mentally slapped herself. "You mentioned it a while ago." Jane continued.
"It's an object where you use it for entertainment." Anne answered, understood Jane's limited knowledge of the modern world.
"By the way Anne, did you finish the book I gave you? If you did, give it to Jane when we get home." Catherine turned to Anne and asked. Anne replied with a "Yup".
One the topic of reading Jane was filled with anxiety. Sure, she knew how to read and write…. a bit. She was more good at housework.
While thinking about her limited ability to read Jane something caught her eye.
"Hey doesn't that woman look odd?" Jane said, getting Anne and Catherine's attention. At this Catherine's eyes widened, "T-Thats Cleves".
Without a waste of time all three of them dashed at her.

Chapter 11: Caught At Last
Summary:
When Anna wake up to an unkown place to her she explores her location, however she would be with a few old faces.
Anne's conversation with Jane and Catherine leaves her with multiple unanswered questions she decides on finding the answers herself.
Chapter Text
Anne of Cleves was filled with confusion when she somehow woke up. She didn't know where she was. Upon opening her eyes she was met with the colour of the green grass at a place that somehow felt familiar to her but she couldn't put her ring around it, putting aside that fact for later.
She took her surroundings in. By the multiple trees and grassy grounds she concluded she must be in a park. "Where am I?, she asked in her thoughts.
Looking at herself she noticed how she was a bit shorter compared to her past life and yes, she couldn't accept that fact. Another fact that bothered her was the fact that her skin was darker compared to her complexion.
The detail she was more encompassed in was the fact that she was wearing clothes that she didn't use to own. Plus, its style is peculiar, she never saw anyone use this type of clothing back then.
She took a look at her own hands, it was softer like when she was younger.
When she looked around she noticed the few people passing by had the same style of clothing she was currently wearing. Some of the few people passing gave her a weird look.
She first decided on figuring out what to do next in this new place. She could maybe ask a few people? But they might suspect her.
She instead went on the idea of exploring her new location to find out more information.
She wandered the entire park until she came upon the sunlit lake. It was a sight she had seen multiple times but never had the chance to marvel at its glory but this time it's different now. She admired the scenery in general.
It was until she heard a person's voice in the distance getting her attention.
"Hey There!" A young woman's voice filled the air. She whipped her head and saw three people rushing towards her. The woman in front had blonde hair, blowing in the air with each step she took. The more she looked at the woman closely the more she realised who she was.
Jane Seymour.
With that in mind she did something any other person would do, she ran away.
-With Catherine, Anne and Jane-
"Doesn't that woman look odd?" Jane asked Catherine and Anne to get their attention, while she pointed at someone who was walking by near the park fence.
At a glance Catherine was able to recognize the woman. While she was reading about her and his other wives there were portraits pictured in the pages of the book. She was sure that it was her.
"T-Thats Cleves." Catherine blurted. Without a moment's question they all dashed off to the woman. With Jane being at the front for being the one who had a headstart and Anne being short was in the middle while Catherine was behind.
"Hey there!" Jane shouted being a metre away from the woman or Cleves if they were right about their hypothesis.
The woman's head snapped to her direction but instantly the woman ran away. Jane furrowed her eyebrows at this. She trailed the woman with her two companions following after her.
The chase took a few minutes. They were all out of breath but their determination did not wither coursing within their bodies giving them the strength they needed to keep going.
"How…. far… can.. she go?" Anne asked between breaths while running beside Jane. By this time Catherine had stopped running, clearly tired, sitting by a near bench, stating that she'd meet them back there.
Both Anne and Jane didn't know where "Cleves'' was heading. " I.. don't know... but we have...to keep on trying.", Jane responded like with Anne, she was breathing heavily every moment trying to catch her breath.
Suddenly they saw their target was heading to a dead end. Seeing this Anne and Jane both sprinted increasing their speed cornering the woman.
They all stood on their respective spots with adrenaline. "What's your name?" Anne asked suddenly.
While Anna was German her stay with Henry had taught her how to speak and understand English… a tiny bit
The woman gave a look full of contemplation. "Anne of Cleves." She introduced herself. "Though I'm guessing you already know."
Jane and Anne nodded. Before they could converse further they were interrupted by Catherine who was out of breath . "How about we talk in a more comfortable setting?" Catherine suggested all of them agree. An alleyway isn't exactly the best place to catch up with someone.
They all decided on going back home with Anna being in the middle of the three women. While they passed by things that were unfamiliar to Anna Catherine took the pleasure of explaining these things to Anna.
When they arrived home they immediately took Anna to her newly created bedroom and let her rest.
After changing to their casual clothes Anne, Jane, and Catherine had a meeting in the kitchen. "Woah never expected that we'd see her that fast,"Anne said.
"Yeah, still we're lucky that we found her early, who would've known what could have happened to her." Jane stated concern filling her voice.
"Well with Anna here it's safe to assume that the next person to arrive here would be Howard." Catherine said to the both of them.
"Howard? Hmmm… I've heard that name before." Jane said.
"She's our cousin silly." Anne suddenly appeared near Jane.
"Cousin?"
"Yeah! I'm first cousin's with her while you're my second cousin also making her your second cousin."
"Woah never knew that fact." Jane was taken aback.
"Anyway the point is Howard might be a bit different compared to us." Catherine looked at Anne who had a sceptical expression.
"Different as in how?" Anne asked, a bit concerned. Catherine took a deep breath, "she's been through a lot that left her traumatised." Catherine answered, a bit nervous about how they would react.
Both gasped clearly showing their shock but not long after Anne asked, "What happened?" her voice stern and serious.
"It's not my place to tell." Catherine answered back.
"How about we all rest? I'm sure we're all tired." Jane said, yawning, " We could talk about this later."
They all agreed and all went into their own bedrooms. Catherine and Jane were immediately knocked out except for Anne. She was thinking about her previous conversation with Catherine and Jane, it bothered her so much to the point of not being able to sleep.
With an idea she opened her phone, Catherine brought one for her and Jane not so long ago. Browsing through the internet was harder than Anne had previously thought.
With a defeated sigh she opened the book given to her by Catherine about the modern world. Opening the page about phones and the internet her task was made a few miles easier.
But what she would see would soon leave her in concern and grief.

Chapter 12: Preparation
Summary:
After the action the queens decide to take it slow and do a normal day for once.
Chapter Text
When Anne went back to her room after their conversation with Catherine, she was sceptical of what Catherine had wanted to say.
"Howard may be different." Catherine, without batting an eye, calmly stated.
No moment did a thought about her cousin leave Anne. After all, what Catherine said after her previous statement caused Anne's concern to skyrocket. While it's true she never met her in her past life (Age difference and all.), she was still ecstatic about meeting a new family member.
Back then, her family had only seen her as a political pawn to be used. They had used her to rise up to higher ranks, even marrying her off to the king. Thankfully her siblings did not have the same idea. Her brother would treat her kindly like a loving sibling would while she and her sister were inseparable talking to each other each night of their lives. Hence, meeting another family member that wasn't just manipulative kept her happiness up and made her ecstatic.
"She's been through a lot." Catherine continued, nervousness clearly present in her voice. Anne didn't know whether Catherine's nervousness was from knowing that there was a chance of a more sensitive reaction from her or if simply telling them that was a bad idea.
Anne was shocked but curiosity overcame her so she asked why? Unfortunately, Catherine thought for a bit before refraining from answering her question, instead replying with, "It's not my place to tell".
While Anne respected the privacy of others she shoved that policy out since she was too concerned to take that into account. She swiftly but silently shut the door of her bedroom and took a seat near her bedside table.
Anne pulled open the drawer of her bedside table, rummaging through its content looking for a rectangular device emptying everything until she successfully found it. She quickly whipped up her mobile phone and intended on searching up her cousin's name.
Well that was the initial thought. Operating a mobile phone was more difficult than she had expected. Sighing at her defeat. Again, she quickly opened her bedside table's drawer and found the book that Catherine had given her titled "Changes In Technology and Society" when she had first arrived. Anne had required it in order to be able to work the miniature gadget in her hand to her wants.
It took her longer than she expected but she succeeded with her task. Reading through the results of her search everything was normal, she even contemplated on why Catherine even said during their conversation.
However, the longer she read progressively into her cousin's life the more she became terrified of her cousin's state right up until her death.
While it was true she never really took a big deal about her death of beheading as she preferred to keep her focus more on the future than pondering about her past, in her thoughts it was merely a waste of time.
So hearing that another person going through the same thing as her was worse compared to her death, her cousin's death was more merciless and she was executed in her youth. She even read in some sources that during her cousin's execution that in the first attempt the axe missed Howard's neck instead landing on one of her shoulders before finally they finished her off.
Although, brutal and saddening as it may be, that detail wasn't the thing that drew the line to her. It was what Howard had done through her life and tge acussations that drove Anne to the edge.
It had gotten worse to the point that the hand which held her phone was shaking severely. She was not shaking in fear, no, she was shaking in disbelief. Her cousin, who she first thought was innocent, turned out to be different. However, while she saw many sources that had said it, it still said that it wasn't accurate as the life of her cousin was more shrouded in mystery as it wasn't documented very well. She hoped that maybe, maybe it was different for her cousin although she would not know until Anne asked her cousin personally. Who knows? Maybe it was all just rumours.
Plus, even Anne herself experienced this first hand. Hearing that people thought she had a sixth finger, Anne had laughed hysterically at that for many hours. Still she couldn't believe that it was so easy to convince people of lies nowadays.
Anne could only sigh in disappointment, resting on her bed, she snapped her eyes shut. Letting her mind drift faraway into dreamland where she hoped to forget this dreadful moment.
"Woah so it's really true?" Anna asked Jane who only nodded in return.
After waking up Catherine had decided to have a conversation with Anna however, upon informing Jane of this after meeting her sitting in the living room, Jane had begged Catherine that she would be the one to talk. While they would talk Catherine was tasked with preparing breakfast. Well, Catherine intended to reject Jane's request but the gleam on Jane's eyes made Catherine think otherwise.
When Anna awoke, Jane invited Anna to have a nice chat. With this Anna complied asking about what had changed since her death.
Jane first warmly introduced herself to Anna. After the introductions were over, Jane told Anna that they were 500 in the future Jane couldn't help but laugh at Anna's reaction, after all who wouldn't. Anna's eyes became as wide as saucers and Jane could have sworn maybe a fly could have flown inside her companions wide open mouth.
Right now their topic was about women's rights.
"Yeah, me and the others couldn't believe that too." Jane chuckled after recalling her own reaction. After conversing for a little while, Catherine went and sat down with the two women.
"Has Anne woken up?" Catherine asked, concerned about taking ahold of the three of them. "She should have, by now." Jane thought.
On time a short black-haired woman stepped into the room. "Good Morning" was all that Anne said before sitting down near Anna away from Catherine.
While it's true that Anne and Catherine didn't scream or fight each other when both met after waking up, they are still conflicted about each other. The main reason why Catherine chose to not to provoke Anne was because of the circumstance of how they were brought back.
Plus Anne was the main reason why her religion and her own daughter suffered. When Catherine first woke up she was scared and confused. At first she was not fond of helping Anne when she arrived however, after her discovery at the library her heart softened for Anne. In the long run Catherine helped Anne, this in which Boleyn was grateful for. In return she didn't start any fights to increase her pride like what she used to do in the past.
In the end, they both knew that if they would start a new life they would have to forget old tensions. In their minds it was the only way to begin again but they needed time so they just decided to be silent.
As they inform Anna of the new world beyond them, all of the first three wives try await for the worst.
Notes:
Hey I'm back since schools is nearly over.
Yes I was busy, but can you blame me we had to do multiple performance tasks like recreating chinese Theater (which was a nightmare), composing songs, making a few
hour long reports. Since summer vacation is nearly here ill try to post chapters consecutively.
Chapter 13: Another Friend
Notes:
So.......Yeah I'm not dead anyways I HATE SCHOOL!!! I know that it's currently summer vacation but if you go to school in a certain country in Asia you would know....
Anyways there may be historical inaccuracies like Katherine’s speech as her life wasn't really documented well enough and the speech involving Culpeper was the only thing I was able to dig out so if you know any other speech tha Katherine may have said comment!
Enjoy the chapter!

Chapter Text
Winter of 1541
London, England
Light white snow fell upon the concrete road, and people walking in the cold weather were wrapped in an unimaginable amount of clothing, keeping them warm from the coldness of the harsh weather. It was a very typical winter for the people of England but the same could not be said for one person.
Imprisoned in the infamous Tower Of London, Katherine Howard lay on the floor, she felt hopeless, she felt..numb. It wasn't because of the coldness. Somehow her mind was all blank with her eyes, appearing lifeless. Her look just gave off an indescribable aura. It couldn't be described nor could people comprehend it. Another factor that contributed to the unsettling feel was the eerie silence.
At first, when the girl had arrived she would not stop screaming around while the guards brought her to her assigned cell, but as time went on she suddenly went quiet. It was relaxing for the guards to have peace but the silence was so sudden that they had to check on her if she had somehow died in any way just to find her sitting blankly in one corner of her cell.
The guards who stood at the front of her cell were even astonished that the youngster kept herself calm and never lost her composure as most of the people they imprisoned previously were constantly thrashing and screaming at every point of the day. Katherine meanwhile kept silent as if she had already accepted her fate.
The feeling of being trapped and helpless wasn't a new feeling for Katherine, she had encountered these emotions a few handful of times. Times when she would just close her eyes and let everything pass. The memory caused Katherine to shudder as she felt phantom hands starting to clutch different parts of her body.
Sure, she knew they weren't there physically but the feeling was indistinguishable, no matter how much she struggled. She couldn't move, she couldn't do anything, it was as if she was back to the time when it started when she was just thirteen. She didn’t want to go back to those memories buried deep within her mind, Katherine let out a small whimper and just curled herself up as if trying to protect herself and let silent tears flow down her cheeks hoping that by some miracle the feeling would go away.
July 2018
London, England
In a house within the area of London, the four ex-queens of England sit, conversing about the fascinating changes and discoveries made to the world while eating breakfast. They were all having fun enjoying each other's company. The feeling was foreign for them as in the past they never really had this much feeling of enjoyment. While talking to Anne and happily showing her information about the newly advanced technology, out of nowhere, Anna felt a shiver going down her spine without any reason.
She started to wonder, it wasn't cold so why did she shiver? She had no time to ponder so Anna just shrugged off the familiar feeling of sorrow. She didn't have a reason to feel this way currently so why?
"You okay?", Catherine asked Anna, noticing the abrupt silence and Anna's astonished expression.
"Yep, I don't know what that was. I shivered like it was cold or something." Anna answered, brushing off the weird sensation.
"What if it's a sign?" Jane asked out of nowhere before putting a chunk of her pancake. All the following women looked at her.
"What do you mean?"Catherine raised her eyebrow. "When first I arrived the first person I met was Anne consequently. Considering how late I arrived, it was very lucky for me that Anne was still awake at that time." Jane turned to Anne.
Anne lowered her head and was in deep thought about it.
"Well, I had a feeling no matter how hard I tried that something was going to happen that night and somehow for some reason I couldn't sleep. " Jane nodded.
"When we first met you, Anne, the first person to locate you was me and I also had an overwhelming feeling of going to the park so I think it's all connected."
"That makes sense, I also had the same feeling of entering Anne's room on the day-", Catherine faced Anne, "when y arrived".
"So it seems that she might arrive either today or tomorrow," Catherine stated.
"Who exactly?" Anna asked her three predecessors.
Anne and Jane looked at Catherine while the Spaniard gave out a sigh. "A friend of yours more precisely Katherine Howard" Catherine flashed a worried smile towards Cleves, who in response covered her mouth with both hands, happiness clear in her eyes.
“Are you certain?”, Anna asked again hopefully, making sure that what they had said was correct just in case she must have somehow misheard it.
"From the information we've gathered, I'm certain," Catherine answered Anna, which reassured the young lady.
Anna was joyful and ecstatic to finally meet Howard, an old acquaintance of hers. “When will she be coming?”. Catherine shook her head, “We aren’t sure yet but she will surely come” she smiled.
“With that settled, what should we do today?” Jane asked, getting the attention of the other women. “Is there anything you four have in mind that you want to do?".
"How about shopping?" Anne suggested,"What's shopping?" Anna and Jane asked. "Shopping is the action or activity of purchasing goods from stores." Anne answered before asking Jane,” Jane, did you start reading the book I gave you last night?”
Jane silently started to panic in her seat, beads of sweat forming on her forehead. While she may have started to read the guidebook she was incredibly slow in courtesy of not being educated very well in her past life. "Y-Yeah I started reading right before I went to bed." Jane gave out a nervous smile.
"Good, once you're done with it, hand it over to Anna kay'?" Catherine told Jane, not noticing her successor's distress. The others kept sweeping a blind eye to this. Anne meanwhile noticed Jane's change of behavior, raising an eyebrow but she said nothing, deciding on confronting her later on.
"Going shopping isn't a bad idea, plus we could go get extra clothes just in case. We would also be able to experience living the modern life." Catherine told everyone as they all prepared to get ready.
A Whole Shopping Trip Later
When they first entered the mall they were all mesmerized by the lights and different things on display. As they walked in they all were in awe with Jane or Anna bombarding their predecessors with questions.
After finishing their shopping trip they forgot what time it was so it was too late for them to go home when one of the queen's stomach growled loudly. Whose stomach was it?, Anne. The other 3 women gave out a chuckle. Who knew the infamous Anne Boleyn had a very rowdy stomach.
"Uh Catherine, so when are we having lunch?" Anne turned to Catherine, her face red full of heat because of the feeling of embarrassment. Catherine thought about what to do while walking when something caught her eye and caused an idea to spark in her head.
"How about we try eating in a restaurant?" Catherine asked as the other four nodded in response. Catherine led the way while her successors followed suit.
February 14, 1542
Tower of London
People gathered around a certain scaffolding situated within the Tower of London. On the said scaffold a few guards and one woman stand. The onlookers spectated as the woman named Katherine Howard was being accompanied by the guards Katherine was shaking and just couldn’t be able to walk by herself. The block of wood at the front was full of bright red blood. Whose blood was it? The blood belonged to one of Katherine’s lady-in-waiting, Lady Rochford, Jane Boleyn. Her blood was scattered on the block after her execution now it was Katherine’s turn, it was “off with her head”.
Katherine proceeded with her speech,” I die a Queen, but would rather die the wife of Culpeper. God have mercy on my soul. Good people, I beg you to pray for me.”. When she finished speaking most of the crowd was shocked, the people never had heard a criminal who was about to be executed be so bold to be able to go as far as to insult the king, and it came from his wife no less.
Katherine perfectly put her head on the bloody block of wood, her face mere inches from it, “Just as practiced.” Katherine thought to herself as she closed her eyes ready for the feeling of cold metal on her neck.
To her shock, she felt pain but not on her neck instead on her shoulder…. She came up with the realisation, the axe missed but before she could think she heard the fast-approaching sound of metal before she blacked out.
Present Day
With the 4 Queens
The four queens had just finished their little trip and were right at the doorstep of their home. Catherine was in front carrying one bag and a key in her other, while her other companions carried two bags in each hand.
After entering they all put their bags containing food on their kitchen table with Jane and Catherine organising while the two Annes went to their laundry room to wash the newly bought clothes.
Anne worked on operating the washing machine while Anna took the clothes out of the bags and sorted it out.
While Anna was organizing the clothes Anne decided to get something she left in her room to be added with the laundry. While heading into her room something caught her green eyes.
A bright pink glow was emanating in one of the hallway's end. She approached the origin of the glow and was surprised to see a door. After approaching the door the glow disappeared. "So Jane was right!" Anne thought, "Should I tell the others or enter myself?" Anne decided on the former as it was better to inform the others before doing something risky as Anne knew that Howard would react badly if Anne just woke her awake she'd be shocked and afraid after all who wouldn't after being beheaded. Anne also took into consideration of her own reaction: she had panicked and was barely able to breathe, she didn't want her cousin to experience the same thing.
After peeking inside the room Anne was able to see a lump on the bed covered by pink blankets, she was relieved to see her within her room rather than outside. She started heading down the flight of stairs with the intention of informing the other of a new arrival. When her foot was about to stand on the second step, a loud scream caught her attention.
Anne's eyes widened, she turned on her heel and ran straight to Howard's room. She slipped but she didn't care. While in the process of heading to her cousin's room she shouted as loud as she could.
"YOU GUYS HOWARD'S HERE!!!"
Anne confirmed that the others heard as not a moment later she heard a few fast footsteps behind her as she opened the door as fast as she could without slamming to not startle the already shaken girl within the room.

Chapter Text
?????
????????
Katherine opened her eyes to be greeted by pure darkness, she was confused, this was not the aftermath of death nor was it the feeling that she had expected. Where in the world was she?
She was able to move on her own despite being decapitated moments earlier. Katherine tried to sit up as multiple thoughts came and went, filling up her head.
Wasn't she supposed to be dead by now? How was she still alive?
Questions whirled inside Katherine's riddled mind overwhelming her.
That's when she noticed one detail, she was laying on a soft surface, a bed to be precise, she realised, eyes widening.
However that wasn't what terrified her, it was who it belonged to. Katherine started to panic, her breathing suddenly became ragged. She tried looking around frantically, hoping to find some sort of a clue or familiarity. Her lungs became more and more difficult to breathe through as each and every second passed.
Her mind insisted on going back to similar memories of the past when she woke up in someone's bed… their beds… Katherine tried to resist the urge of going back, to feeling their touch, to them telling her words of affection, she struggled as her fight against her own brain continued. She felt bile rising up her throat.
She could do the only thing she was able to and what her mind was telling her body to do… scream. Katherine didn't know why her mind urged her to scream when in the past this never occurred.
She thought that maybe if she screamed help would arrive. If she gave out a loud scream, maybe people near her, wherever she was, would be bothered by the commotion and by chance spot her and potentially help her.
She screamed with all her might resulting in her throat starting to feel strained, causing her voice to transform into a more raspy tone. She tried to scream again when her sight was interrupted by sudden brightness.
Howard whipped her head to the origin of the sudden bright light. She was met with a door opening, letting light seep into the dark room.
While on the doorway stood a silhouette of a person. She started to spiral for a moment before realising that the silhouette belonged to a woman, instead of a man as she first thought. Her worries decreased for a bit however it was enough for Katherine to move unlike the previous moment.
The figure muttered a few words, "Calm down, you're safe…" The stranger's tone was soft and gentle, based on the sound of the person's voice Katherine knew what the stranger was trying to calm her senses. Before she could think, she suddenly saw black.
Anne was concerned when the girl who she assumed was her cousin passed out in her arms. She was about to call for help but that's when she heard light footsteps behind her, indicating that the others heard the commotion.
"What happened?" Someone questioned from behind her which Anne presumed was Catherine.
"Heard a scream, ran into this room, tried to calm her down and she passed out." Anne moved the younger woman in her arms, laying her straight on the bed, "I guess she is still in shock".
"How about we let her be for the time being?"Jane was just behind Catherine, from her voice, you can easily conclude that she is concerned.
"I did the same thing when I arrived, she's okay." Anne said, "I hope so" the others thought.
All the other queens agreed. Anna was saddened about her friend who was like her little sister. Regret is what she felt, she couldn't protect her. She could still remember the day, but she was unable to save her in time. She remembered the look on Katherine's eyes, her eyes that were still full of hope, pleading for her help while she just stood and watched…
Anna's eyes began to tear up but she quickly wiped it off, with Catherine the only one to be able to notice but decided not to question it, in courtesy of the moment.
They all left the room quietly leaving the youngest among them, the feeling of concern still with them
Anna sat on her bed in solemn silence, tears dropping from her eyes. She quickly wiped off her tears after hearing the sound of the doorknob expecting someone.
"You okay?" Catherine peered from the door.
"I'm fine" Anne hissed with a hint of anger in her voice.
"What matter do you want to speak of with me?"
Catherine responded with silence and walked towards Anne's bed sitting beside her.
"What do you think of the 20th century?" Catherine casually asked.
"Honestly it's very weird." Anne answered nonchalantly while Catherine gave out a light chuckle. Anna was puzzled by the older woman.
"And why's that?"
"It's just people in this time dress weirdly and just hang around as if they have a long time to live."
"Well life expectancy today is longer than when we were alive. People could go over as old as 100." Anna gave Catherine a surprised look.
"Really?"
Catherine gave a small nod and gave out a small laugh. Anna was very surprised with how the older woman behaved. From rumours she had heard, the woman had a stare that was able to make any person break.
"You're a lot different from what I've heard." Catherine looked at Anna.
"What did you expect, how do you think I would act?" Catherine raised an eyebrow.
The fourth queen's head started to sweat."From what I've heard from rumours you were a cold and stern person. I assumed you were the type of person who would never bat an eye if a person were to suffer in front of you. Seeing that you could smile broke a bunch of my expectations."
"I never knew that back then people thought of me like that.'' Catherine had a look of longing while staring at the ceiling.
"No wonder Anne was in fear of me." Catherine's head filled with thoughts.
Notes:
Anyways I'll probably focus more on practicing the guitar than write bruh.
Chapter 15: Late Night Talk
Summary:
After retiring for the night, Anne suddenly had the urge to drink. On her way she meets someone she didn't expect.
Chapter Text
After speaking with Anna for a while, Catherine left and said her goodnight before retreating to her own room seeking silence and solidarity.
She shut the door as quietly as she could, trying to not disturb the other queens who Catherine presumed were sleeping. She quickly sat on her bed, letting out a silent squeak. Normally, the mattress on her bed felt soft as a cloud and she loved it but at that moment the feeling was almost suffocating for Catherine. It was as if the bed knew what was her mistake and was punishing her for her blunders.
Anna's expectations towards the first queen's behaviour really made Catherine wonder. What else do the others think of her? Was she really that intimidating? God, she just wanted to throw a freakin' chair and shout.
While it's true that she had heard a few rumours about herself in the past, she was thankful for these rumours as it helped in solidifying her reign as queen in conveying to the common folk that she will be a queen who will not easily crumble, it worked in her favour. However, her current predicament made her think otherwise.
If the others felt intimidated by her, how was she supposed to tell them that it was okay to approach her? To talk to her? It's not like she can just see the others and ask them about their problems, it would require a humongous amount of trust for them to tell her anything. Especially Boleyn, considering their conflict in the past it would be even harder to communicate with her and with her death being unnatural unlike hers, Catherine presumed Anne was concealing how she truly felt towards her.
She lay in her bed staring at the ceiling in a similar state to which she compared when she was dying. Has her body always felt this heavy? She tried to keep herself awake thinking of ways to show or imply to the others that they could freely approach her. With her previous conversation, who knows what secrets the others are hiding? Catherine silently sighed, ”Tomorrow is going to be a long day.”
Anna had to agree, talking with Catherine went a lot more differently than she had expected. Contrary to popular belief, Catherine was able to be a fun person to talk to.
Chatting had helped ease her concern, and the feeling of heaviness on her chest diminished as they talked more. The tension during their conversation dissipated the longer they continued. The tense atmosphere changed into a more relaxed and calm one.
During their conversation, there were times where Anna was not able to speak in English and spoke in Deutsch. Fortunately, Catherine understood a few words in the 5th queen's native language. Anna was thankful for Catherine as she also understood how it felt forgetting a few words in English and speaking in a language that not the majority know. Anne felt relieved knowing that she related to at least one of the people whom she guessed she would spend her second life with. It was one of the facts that she related with Catherine. For the first time, it made her feel like she belonged to be with them.
When Catherine left, her body felt more light, however, she noticed something about Aragon. While talking about her expectations of Catherine, the first queen’s smile faltered for a moment before her usual smile returned. Anna quickly changed the topic, hoping that her predecessor was not in any way offended. Cleves was also perceptive enough to notice the way Catherine slowly left her room, her movement a bit sluggish and slower than when she had entered her room.
She decided to tackle her latest concern the next day. Anna would admit, today was exhausting.
She pulled on her covers seeking warmth and comfort. Anna closed her eyes, her last thought before falling asleep was about Katherine Howard, hoping that she would be well the next day.
Jane was a bit drained from that day's happenings. Her mind was exhausted to the brim to say the least. With Katherine Howard unexpectedly arriving early, a barrage of problems came in their way. Still keeping in mind Catherine's warnings about Howard's condition being "not like them", Jane was puzzled with what Aragon meant. This confusion became more prominent when she heard Howard's scream after just waking up. "I guess with being brought back to life, people react differently", Jane thought. "Still...how did Katherine die?" She wondered while laying in bed, intending on sleeping her exhaustion off.
"I wonder what other crazy thing is going to happen tomorrow. No matter what it is I hope it can be resolved quickly.", Jane is someone who tends to avoid problems after all. Especially when it involves him.
Mistakes were not to be expected and were not taken lightly by him. In the end, after some sort of scolding (shouting) Jane would be left to fix her blunders.
Anne sat on her desk chair scrolling through her phone. While she may have just arrived, understanding technology and the modern world was easy for her. Easily adapting to certain situations was one of Anne's unique feats.
In the past, not being used to a certain thing would lead to punishments. Anne was not a fan of these said punishments, especially the common folk and her enemy, ostracism.
Ostracism was one thing Anne was forced to endure while being married to Henry. Being used as a chess piece all her life to satisfy someone else's greed for power.
However, having nearly the whole country's population against her compared to one or two was on a whole other level. Being called names on a daily basis, Anne got used to it fairly quickly, she adapted to the environment. Still that didn't mean she wasn't fazed by what others thought of and said to her, the comments she used to hear about herself made her heart ache sometimes. Still with her little Beth beside her she was fine with the comments, she was able to ignore them.
Anne put her phone on her bedside table. Her eyes became more tired as the seconds ticked by. Still, Anne hoped that tomorrow Katherine would be better.
Suddenly, she felt the need to drink water. Was her throat always that dry? Anne questioned herself while walking out of her room and into the hallway, intending on getting a cup of water to quench her thirst.
Katherine woke up with a grunt. Where was she again? Her eyes darted around her surroundings, looking for a clue that might imply her location.
After looking around without success she stood out of bed. As she noticed her peculiar style of clothing she wondered whose clothes it belonged to. What would they do if they found her wearing their clothes? What sort of punishment would they give her? She shivered at the thought. However, she proceeded to walk towards the entrance (?) of the room, intending to escape before the owner of the house and clothes spots her. Sneaking out as quiet as a mouse was something Katherine always did in the past, so escaping from this house was not that difficult.
As Katherine took a peek out of the room she noticed a short slim figure moving at one end of the hallway. The silhouette of the person abruptly stopped. Katherine held her breath. Unfortunately, thanks to the dimly lit hallway, the light from Katherine's room made the figure aware of Katherine’s presence.
Katherine started to panic. However, upon seeing the stranger's face, she felt some sort of familiar warmth. The woman's expression wore an emotion of shock.
"Who are you?" Katherine managed to ask the woman. With the darkness, Katherine saw water droplets shine on the woman's eyes with her lips curling, turning into a soft and gentle smile. A smile Katherine had never seen for a long time. It gave her the rare feeling of safety and comfort.
"My name is Anne, Anne Boleyn." The woman stated. Katherine was caught off guard. Boleyn? Could this woman be related to her? Why was her name so familiar? Wait……. Anne?!?
"Aren’t you supposed to be dead?!?!" Katherine couldn’t help but blurt out. Anne clearly expressed a look of shock, with the sudden and unexpected question.
"And so are you." Anne retorted, trying to ease the tension that permeated the air between them.
Awkward silence filled the air for a moment before Katherine shook out of her shock and gave a courtesy, which again caught Anne unexpectedly.
"Forgive me for my rude and unacceptable behaviour-", Katherine said with poise and elegance it was as if she had previously rehearsed that exact moment.
"You don't need to do that" Anne quickly interrupted her, causing Katherine to look up to Anne, surprise evident on her face.
"But I-"
"No buts" Anne cut her off, "We're no longer in the past. Also I don't want a dear relative of mine to act like that in front of me." Anne continued to inform her cousin. She approached Katherine and extended her arm. Katherine was able to take the hint and shook Anne's arms.
"Again my name's Anne Boleyn."
"My name is Katherine Howard."
Anne gave a toothy grin, "Welcome to the future dear cousin."
"Oh, thank- wait. COUSIN?!?!" Katherine blurted out again. She couldn't help but feel ashamed, her grandmother would have probably scolded her for disturbing and speaking in such a loud volume, in front of Anne Boleyn of all people! Her cheeks turned a shade of red from embarrassment. Anne only gave out a light chuckle as a response.
"Don't worry there's nothing to be embarrassed about, however you should lower the volume of your voice when speaking unless you want to wake the others up." Anne assured her.
"I swear I won't disturb you. Wait. OTHERS?!" Katherine shouted, she quickly held both her hands on her mouth.
"SHH" Anne raised a finger to her mouth, Kat quickly apologised. Anne turned around and gestured Katherine to follow her to which Katherine complied convinced that she was in good hands
"May I ask? Where am I and how am I able to still be alive ?" Katherine asked the older woman while she followed her down the stairs.
"Well, it's kinda complicated.", they entered the kitchen with Katherine sitting on one of the chairs situated near the large wooden table.
"Even I don't understand how reincarnation works or being brought back to life." Anne took a glass cup on one of the top drawers near the kitchen sink. "I think it would be better if Catherine, the other Catherine, explained it to you." Anne smiled at Katherine while handing her the glass of water.
Katherine hurriedly accepted and gulped down the liquid, the cold water helped ease the lingering pain on her throat.
"What do you mean other Catherine?" Katherine asked with curiousity after drinking.
"In this house, there are two other people sleeping upstairs excluding ourselves." Anne put two fingers up with her right hand. "There's Jane, Anna and Catherine"
"Anna?" Katherine perked up upon hearing her old friend's name. "What's her last name?" Katherine was filled with excitement and joy.
Anne gave out a chuckle, "I guess you two really are close.". Katherine's eyes widened and a bright smile plastered itself on her face. Anne had to admit, she looked as cute as a little puppy.
"Where is she?"
"She's in her room probably sleeping, I can't blame her today for being exhausted with all the other stuff." Anne clearly decided not to state what happened with Katherine earlier. Katherine deflated hearing this.
"You can see her tomorrow morning, we all live in the same house anyway." Anne reassured her cousin, Katherine silently nodded.
They sat in comfortable silence before Katherine spoke up.
"What did you mean earlier by "Welcome to the future"?"

Wow two fanfics posted in 1 month what a rare occurrence.
Chapter 16: Why?
Summary:
Anne tries to convince Katherine that 500 years had passed. While conversing they couldn't notice a looming prescence listening in. And most importantly, questions are asked.

So waddup, I'm back.
And first of all, I'm sorry for the delay. Dealing with a writer's block isn't that easy. Anyway I removed my little anouncement before so if you're wondering why a chapter dissappeared that's why.

Chapter Text
“What did you mean by “Welcome to the Future?”, Katherine turned to Anne, her face visibly expressing her confusion. Anne silently left the empty glass on the table, the corner of her lips curled turning into a small frown. Anne looked at the ceiling intently deep in thought.
“Hiding the truth would cause more problems in the future”
She brought her head down and turned to face Katherine, looking at her straight in the eyes.
“Basically, it’s been 500 years or so since you died.”
Anne revealed, looking at Katherine just enough seriousness laced in her tone. The younger girl showed her cluelessness by staying silent though her feeling of surprise was expressed by her eyes widening. Anne waited with patience for any other possible reaction her cousin may have.
”On second thought, I may have made a mistake”. Anne inwardly cringed at herself.
After a minute or so with awkward silence Katherine began to laugh loudly while Anne stared at her bewildered, raising her eyebrows. She opened her mouth trying not to sound rude or athourative.
“Is there something in my face? What’s so funny?”
“N-no it’s just that- your joke’s s-so hilarious!”
Anne could do nothing but sigh at her younger cousin’s antics, a hint of amusement crept up her face.
" So this is what Catherine feels like….”/
She stifled a small laugh.
Anne stared at her younger cousin still in amusement. Her mind focused on formulating ways to convince her. “Guess I gotta convince her harder.”
“I’m not joking though.” Anne bluntly stated while she went to the kitchen sink intending on washing the glass she and Katherine used, leaving behind a stunned girl on the table, hoping that she had convinced her, giving the girl some time to process.
Anne returned to Katherine hastily after hearing no verbal response from the 5th queen for an unspecified time. She found Katherine in complete silence not having moved an inch after Anne’s statement. Katherine’s bangs on her forehead seemed to grow longer casting a shadow, which covered her eyes giving her a more intimidating look. An eerie and mysterious aura covering the young girl. Anne could swear a cold chill ran down her spine as she shivered. She regretted her decision of revealing such an important thing but she was cut short by a response.
“Who?” Katherine said loud enough to be a whisper.
“Come again?” Anne asked, having not heard her question with the volume it was said in.
“Who else is with us?” Her voice trembled, Anne could see that she was visibly shaking… a bit. Anne could see her own image projecting on the girl. Anne didn’t know what to do… It was as if she was frozen. She began questioning herself. What was she supposed to do? Calling Catherine was her only option but she despised the idea of leaving her cousin alone. Her mind was panicking, her feelings conflicted.
It was so quiet that one could hear a pin drop. It was so quiet that Katherine’s breathing speeding up could be heard by Anne. Anne felt her heart ache, Katherine’s situation reminded of how she reacted a few days ago. That was the last straw, an instinct drove her to approach and warmly hug the girl intending on giving warmth and comfort. It was strange…. Her mind ran rampant with questions.
She and Katherine didn’t know each other before and here she was, embracing a complete stranger. She was protective of her yet their short time spent together. She had this urge that pushed her to do it. The same instinct that drove her to hug Katherine was hauntingly similar to her protectiveness towards Lizzy. But one question remained, why?
Why would she, Anne, feel protective over someone who she had just known, someone who would be capable of stabbing her in the back like what her father and her family had done before? Where did this sudden urge of protectiveness come from?
Anne looked at Katherine trying to look for any signs of discomfort, the girl simply silently accepted her embrace without any hesitation.
Katherine was just as frazzled as Anne. With the concept of being brought in the future, who else had come with her? The thought made Katherine shudder. She was able to muster enough courage to ask Anne of who exactly had come with her. She had tried to ask with confidence but her voice decided to betray her, upon speaking her voice had come out more shakier and silent than she had initially expected.
Anne had seemed to notice her tenseness and kept quiet for a bit. Katherine swore Anne had looked some sort of empty. Katherine’s breathing began to hitch. It was so quiet for some reason causing Anne to look at Katherine in a way that she could not decode.
However, Anne’s next move caught her off guard. It wasn’t the fact that she was suddenly touched without her permission. No. It was the emotion that Anne conveyed with her embrace.
It radiated with warmth, comfort, and protection something that Katherine had not felt for a long time that it almost felt foreign to her. In fact, the warmth she was given reminded her a bit of her mother. While she did not really know much of her own mother before her sudden passing Katherine herself knew what and how her mother would treat her.
She would daydream of spending time with her mother for long hours.
Still Katherine was confused. Why would Anne Boleyn, a complete stranger, hug her? She couldn’t wrap her head around it. While it felt wrong to receive such a gesture, she did not want it to leave. She had to admit being embraced like that felt good.
Katherine knew Anne had some better things to take care of so she pulled back, muttering a small thanks to Anne. She could see that the older woman was flashing a small smile.
Anne excused herself, wandering back upstairs and into her own room for sleep. Katherine followed not so long after. (Katherine hated to admit it but she missed the warmth that Anne had provided.)
On her way back Katherine could swear she heard shuffling within a dark corner of the living room. After bravely checking it out and finding nothing she quickly shrugged it off and continued her reyreat. However, Katherine didn’t hear nor notice a certain someone hiding beneath the stairs on her way.
Catherine was a very light sleeper. Touch or poke her lightly, she would immediately be up. Even Catherine herself wondered. So, when she heard someone shout, she dashed to her door and waited anxiously, sticking her ear to the door contemplating if she was needed.
She was able to make out two voices, one whom she recognized was none other than Anne Boleyn while the other was unfamiliar. The voice obviously belonged to a woman Catherine could tell, so she presumed that the girl with Boleyn would have to be Howard.
“Shh, quiet down, you’ll wake up everyone.”
“Yeah, sorry about that.”
After that exchange she could hear the two younger women leave by the sound of their footsteps fading. Catherine wanted to go back to sleep and shrug this moment off but her curiosity got the better of her.
She silently twisted the doorknob of her door and went out before closing it the same way, creating minimal noise before she tip-toed and trailed behind the two women, she was careful enough that they still hadn’t noticed her. She called this a win.
When they stopped at the kitchen Catherine was able to settle herself in one of the unlit corners in the living room. She didn’t want to eavesdrop but she had to see how Anne handles this situation.
Despite them being on good terms, Catherine still had scepticism left on Anne. She had to see if Anne truly did care or if it was all just a facade for winning her favour, still she had to know. So Catherine nearly couldn’t hide her surprise when things went well.
“I’m worrying about nothing”
She sighed, while planning on trailing behind Katherine. She stalled but she had rather moved very early. Her movements caused enough noise for Katherine to notice, turning on her heel and heading towards Catherine’s direction.
“M*rd*”
Catherine resisted to curse out loud before holding her breath and attempted in stopping all her bodily movements. If one were to look at Catherine right now she would be mistaken as a statue.
Thankfully, her successor didn’t see her and continued on her way. Catherine waited for good measure before finally returning back to bed. Tonight was more normal than the previous nights, Catherine could agree to that.

Chapter Text
Katherine woke up covered in cold sweat. Her eyes darted around her surroundings, looking for any signs of danger, her eyes shook with every movement. A majority of the times she woke up in a place she recognized Kat always knew that something happened the night before. Something that she’d rather not think about. Her current situation hit too close to home.
When she reassured herself that there was no one else present in the room, relief flooded her senses, she took a deep breath, her body relaxing though the feeling of danger still lingers.
Her time of solidarity was interrupted when a knock came from her door. She froze in fear, muscles tensing up as her eyes darted to the door.
Who exactly would want to see her? She sat in her bed, refusing to get up and just waiting, hoping that whoever wanted to see her would take a hint and leave her alone. Peeking down, a shadow of someone can be seen.
“Hey Kat, it’s Anne!”
A chirpy yet mature voice came from the door. She immediately pushed herself off her bed, throwing off the covers, stumbling as she walked to the door, recognizing the voice. The same voice which made her feel warm inside in a way that Mannox nor anyone else she knew before could. Kat hastily turned the knob of her door, a hint of excitement and happiness in her body language.
Katherine was greeted by Anne who was radiating with energy, a far cry to the person whom she talked with last night. Anne filled the tense atmosphere with cheer. Katherine herself wondered how a person could be that energetic early in the morning when she’d herself meanwhile rather prefer to throw herself off a cliff.
“Kat?”. Katherine tilted her head in confusion.
“Yeah, saying your first name is too long. Plus, I had enough with the amount of K/Catherines in this house.”
“I guess so”. Kat shrugged, while a new question made its way into her mind before she opened her mouth to ask.
“Who is this other Catherine?”
Kat noticed Anne hesitating for a moment before she spoke, her voice can be heard with a tint of nervousness. Anne contemplated, would it be better for her to know this early?
“Ya know, Catherine of Aragon. I’ll also warn you that there are others here other than us.”
“Though don’t worry, they aren’t that bad.” Anne added immediately.
Anne tried to reassure Kat but it did nothing but scare her. Anne put her hand on Katherine’s shoulder, sensing Kat’s distress. Katherine smiled at this small gesture before Anne led her down the stairs.
“While being in a new world is scary, it’s not really that bad.”
“Mhm.” Katherine observed the way in how the older queen carried herself, she’s amazed in how she can be so joyful yet mature and act with poise. She had to admit, she was a bit envious. Would she be more similar to Anne if she was given the chance to grow up? She shook her head, not liking the direction in which her thoughts were steering to.
In all honesty, Katherine was still baffled by the information of being reborn in the future. In her past, there have been multiple rumours and myths that were of the afterlife but time-travel? It was the last thing Kat had expected to happen after dying.
“How much…..” Kat asked albeit silently.
“Hmm?”
Katherine cleared her throat, before regaining her confidence, looking at Anne sternly. Curiosity present in her eyes.
“How much better really is today?”
Hopefully, she asked, sceptical and dreadful if the world really was better than before. Honestly, would the world still be capable of being good or better at this point? She pensively waited for Anne to answer.
Anne herself doesn’t know how to answer. She could say yes but is the world trully better? She hasn’t spent enough time in this century so she didn’t know the scope, Anne also couldn’t risk promising things that were not true. Saying no itself also presents a few hiccups, Katherine would still be paranoid and keep to herself, never opening up to others. Kat won’t be able to take advantage of this chance at life and have a chance at happiness and warmth.
Amidst her thinking she noticed Katherine glare at her intimidatingly. Anne knew Kat meant no harm but her glare made Anne a little bit uneasy, a shiver making itself present on Anne’s spine.
“Who knows?”, was what Anne could muster to say. A sigh of disappointment came from the younger girl. Kat didn’t start a conversation after that response. It honestly made Anne a dash of guilt, “Did I say something wrong?”, it kept repeating inside her head.
Unsure of what to do, Anne kept silent as they went down to the kitchen, hoping that maybe meeting the others would cheer her and Katherine’s mood back up.
As they walk into the kitchen, she is able to spot Jane in the kitchen, trying out an ingredient she saw in a cookbook that she found while in the library. Her struggling could be seen visibly at the few flour strewn across the kitchen counter.
“Hey Jane.” Anne greeted her with a smile as Jane turned around, setting the bowl of batter on the kitchen counter.
“Pleasure morning to you Anne.” She returned her smile as she noticed the younger girl just behind Anne. Her smile softened as her eyes lingered on Kat.
“You must be Katherine I presume?”
Katherine shyly nodded as her eyes met Jane’s. Kat didn’t understand, for some reason she felt drawn to Jane, it wasn’t romantic or anything, it was a deep feeling of longing as her eyes lingered on Jane even when Anne started to talk.
“So what are you doing this lovely morning?” Anne asked Jane as she sat down, pulling Katherine with her as she gestured to her to sit on the chair beside her.
“I’m currently attempting to replicate a recipe.” Jane began to wipe the mess on the kitchen counter. “It’s quite fascinating how technology has changed in the current time.”
“Yeah, I never expected that they’d make a machine capable of washing clothes.”
Jane chuckled at Anne’s comment as she continued to clean the mess. At a split moment Jane realised something as she turned around, facing Anne and Kat.
“Have I introduced myself?” Jane smiled at Katherine before the said woman shook her head in response.
“That was quite rude of me, I am Jane, Jane Seymour” Katherine’s eyes widened, if she remembered correctly Anne and Jane were quite not the bestest of terms back then. The rumours she heard about the two were not so good. It was surprising to see how the two women were at each other’s throat before greeting and talking with each other without any type of tension.
Jane continued to give a warm and welcoming smile to Kat in which Katherine smiled back.
“I don’t mind, it is quite a pleasure to meet Jane Seymour”. Katherine’s smile widened as Jane offered her some sort of pastry.
“You must be starving, trust me I know,-”, Jane took something out of a pan situated on the table, handing it to Kat. “Why don’t you try this?”.
Kat muttered a small “thank you”, slowly taking the freshly baked cookie from Jane. Kat slowly munched on the cookie as she looked at Jane and Anne, smiling softly.
Maybe I could get used to this.
