I am so happy to hear about your father! I'm so glad he's doing well! As for the peace treaty, well, do you even think Peach would accept it? She can be quite stubborn when she wants to be. I don't think she'll go down without a fight.
I hope that this thing between you and me works out. I hope that we can manage to stay friends with all the changes your planning to make. I miss you. Please come visit me soon.
Mario said something dumb to Peach. She's mad at him now. But you know how they are. They'll be back together within a week.

Koopa news, May 1st, 2003
Earlier this morning, King Bowser was found to have a letter from Luigi Mario, Mario Mario's younger brother. Now, we are not ones for gossip, but this is more then he said, she said. The future of the Koopa Kingdom hangs in the balance.
In the letter, Luigi details how our King is planning to sign a peace treaty between him and long time romantic interest, Princess Peach of the Mushroom Kingdom. What this treaty may include is to be determined as the story progresses. Please check your local radio stations for more news and information.

Dear Diary,
What the freak is going on? A week ago, if you'd had told me that I had been sending letters to King Bowser for over a year, I'd ask you if you were high. Honestly, I'm not sure I'm sober myself. I hardly know the guy! But today, as I was out on my walk, I saw a letter with my signature addressed to King Bowser.
It was on a bulletin board near town square. I never wrote that letter. And as I stood there, gawking at this letter, someone had the nerve to come up and ask me what it's like being the King's partner! I don't know! I've never met the man! Someone better tell me myself because I sure as hell don't know!
What is going on? After that first person, more people asked me about him! I don't know! By this point, I have had just about enough of this and I go home. Guess what? Mario asks me about him.
I ran to my room and started crying into my pillow and then I'm writing this. I hate him. I know he faked this, for I am damn certain that I never wrote that letter.

The Princess has signed a peace treaty with the Koopa Kingdom. Yes, after over 30 years of war and hostage taking, the Princess signed it at 3:32 this afternoon. Why did King Bowser agree? Well, it was his idea in the first place. Why the sudden change of heart? Well, it's because of one of our own citizens, Luigi Mario, brother of our hero, Mario Mario.
"Luigi has been writing to (the King) for almost a year", King Bowser said in an interview earlier today, "He just started being nice to me one day then I was nice to him then we became pen pals."
Many people speculate that the two are in a relationship. The King has refused to comment. We tried to interview Luigi, but Mario said he hasn't come out of his room since the letter leaked.
Part of the peace treaty is to slowly integrate the two kingdoms. More on the 96.9 radio station at 7:00.

I am writing this at three AM. As you can tell, I have been very busy for the past few days, the whole peace treaty signing thing and all. I hate that you forced me to do this. I'm not a good person, I don't get why you like me.
You know, people have been asking why I sleep with my enemy's brother. Why would they say that? Are you saying that we're an item behind my back? If you are, I'll burn your feet off.
We are friends. Totally platonic. So don't go around being all lovey-dovey with me. I still got a reputation to uphold. I want you to remember my threat because I will very well go through on it.

TOAD Next today, we have to talk about the elephant in the room. Earlier this morning, a new letter was found from King Bowser to Luigi.
TOADETTE Wow, that seems, weird. Well, weird in the way you would never expect the two to be friends in the first place.
TOAD Yes, but apparently, it is true.
TOADETTE Well, what did this most recent letter say?
TOAD The letter stated that apparently, unlike believed beforehand, it was Luigi's idea for the peace treaty. He also addressed the rumors that the two are a couple, stating that he'd, quote, "burn Luigi's feet off" if he was really flirting with him.
TOADETTE so, he's still the same old Koopa King?
TOAD Yep. He's still the same Bowser.
TOADETTE That's a shame. I really had thought he had changed for the better.
TOAD Well, he has in a way. Signing the treaty is a big step for him.
TOADETTE That is true, but burning Luigi's feet off? That seems a little... extreme, even for him.
TOAD Maybe it is, maybe it isn't. We don't know. Anyway, thank you to our sponsors who make this program possible. (...)

Help!! I need your help! So, you know how I sent a letter to King Bowser? Well it wasn't me who sent it! I am 99% sure that Bowser himself wrote that letter! So, in the letter he wrote to himself from me, he said that we're not platonic! I don't even know him! Help!
Okay, so, I'm really mad right now. Now, I want to write a response to him. But the problem is, no one will believe if I said I didn't write the letter. I already wrote one as Bowser to myself. It's confusing and hard to follow, I know, but stay with me! I need you to help me write another response.
You know him better then I do, as in, you've met him before. I only know about him through the news and my brother's stories. How I am supposed to stay in character? I need your help!
Help a poor guy out so that he doesn't murder a monarch.

We've been way too out of touch. Things have been crazy and it sucks that we don't talk that much. But I should tell you that I think of you each night, IN THE TOTALLY PLATONIC WAY WE ARE!

Princesses Weekly, second week of May, 2003
So, you might have seen this already, but, Luigi Mario and King Bowser are totally dating! If you live near the Mushroom Kingdom, you might have seen the bulletin board that presents all of the letters between the two. There is some, let's just say, tension between the two.
Us here at Princesses Weekly are so excited to see what happens next! In the most recent card, Luigi asked Bowser on a date! I can't wait to see Bowser's response! Oh my gosh, please be a yes! They need to go out with each other!
I mean, look at the forbidden romance of it all! Dating your enemy's brother. I wonder how Mario will react! What about the Princess? This is such a good plot!
People have even started making fanart! And it is so good! There has even been a fanfiction! Oh my gosh, it's so good!
When they go on their date, we'll be sure to get photos into the next issue!
Anyway, this is going to be the scandal of century! Tune in next issue to see what happens!

Hey, you might have seen this already but Princesses Weekly ships you with Bowser. How are going to get out of this? Well, I have a couple ideas.
One, go. Go on the (not) date. It can't be that bad. But I know you aren't going to take that advice. So,
Two, try to convince people that Bowser is busy. That might not work, but it's worth a shot.

Dear Diary,
I'm screwed. More screwed then I have ever been in my entire life. I'm going on a date on Friday. Why is this bad? Because literally everyone wants us to kiss.
Seriously. Also my date is a literal King, and most likely a Koopa. If I don't go, I don't know, I might be hunted down by the entire Koopa Kingdom, and some fan girls. This is bad.
I am going to die of either embarrassment or just being killed in general. Can't wait!

The story of the century (published 2006) on May 16th, 2003
The day quickly arrived. The two were set to meet in Grand Koopa Park at exactly 10 AM. Reporters sat in bushes as the clock inched closer to the assigned time.
Bowser was the first to arrive, accompanied by his trusted advisor, Kamek. They arrived at 9:54 AM. Luigi arrived shortly there after accompanied by long time best friend Princess Daisy at 9:57 AM.
The reporters held their breath as the two found each other. Luigi said it was a slightly terrifying experience. Quote, "I had never met a King before. Princesses aplenty, but never a King."
Koopa news, May 16th, 2003
We had one of reporters on the scene today as King Bowser met Luigi Mario. Is Luigi our new queen? Well, maybe. This was their first interaction.
"You're the same Bowser I've apparently been pen pals for over a year?" Our reporter said he didn't have a good look at Luigi, but you could tell that he was nervous.

After the peace treaty has been signed, the world has been set ablaze as King Bowser and Luigi Mario go on a date today. This could judge the future of the two Kingdoms.
Our reporter couldn't hear what Luigi had to say at first, but she could hear what King Bowser had to say.
"Yep, and you're the same Luigi who's been flirting with me for the past year?"

TOAD Well, no duh! He is Luigi! What else was going on?
TOADETTE Well, Daisy and Kamek left the two alone, and it was kinda crazy, because they were asking each other get to know each other questions!
TOAD And they've known each other for a year?
TOADETTE Yes! It was surreal! And, you'll never guess what happened next, after a couple minutes of chatting, a Princesses Weekly editor came up to them and started interviewing them!
TOAD What? Are you serious?
TOADETTE Yes, I am serious!
Princesses Weekly, third week of May, 2003
We told you that we update you the next issue and here we are! We were so lucky to have one of our own Editors be able to interview them!
So, here are some of the questions and answers!
Q: is this a date?
A, L: no.
A, B: yes.
Q: what is your favorite thing about the other person?
A, B: uh, yes?
Q: Luigi, how has Mario reacted to the word of you two being an item?
A, L: He's been fine, and we are not an item!
After that, our editor said they refused to answer more questions. So she hid in the bushes with the rest of the reporters.
Dear Bowser,
Thank you for taking me out today. I had a very nice time. Well, except for all the reporters. Thank you for giving me your address. I honestly couldn't stand pretending to be you. Can we keep these letters private, please? It would be so tiring having to put these letters up everyday.
I hope we can hang out more, someday. If that's cool with you! Despite everything, I really enjoyed today. I hope we can stay in contact! Miss you already!
