Jess likes the new girl, Rey. She doesn't know her very well yet but she can tell there's something special about her, beyond being a Jedi, even. Jess isn't sure what it is, yet. But she’ll figure it out. She's a pilot. She's got a good eye for things.
It's when Rey stumbles into the sleeping quarters and smiles at her, that Jess realizes exactly what it is. She smiles back at Rey and then offers her another tour around the base.
They come back holding hands, their lips swollen from kissing. Yeah, Jess thinks to herself, Rey's something else.
