The Bunny of the League

Summary:

No one thinks much of a simple, small, adorable bunny. They’ll ignore it, coo at it, or even hunt it. No matter what they do, they never think of a bunny as anything other than weak and stupid. That’s why he connected with them so much.

If people are only going to think of him as a weak idiot, why not take advantage of it to help the only people who didn’t see him that way? It wasn’t like he had anything else going for him.

Chapter 1: Prolog

Chapter Text

Shigaraki was interviewing two new prospects for the league, and already there weren’t high hopes for either. The interview had only been going maybe 10 minutes, and the two had quickly shown what little promise they had. The two had nothing to show and prove themselves, and their individual skill sets didn’t even come close to making up for the fact they clearly didn’t work well with others.

Eguchi Yukiko, villain name Bronwen, and Mikami Shigeo, villain name Corvina, weren’t entirely new or unknown villains, which was one of the only reasons they hadn’t cut this interview off already. Bronwen was a pretty well-known drug dealer among the underworld, and was known to sell info he heard for the right price, while Corvina was a semi-known pickpocket and minor thief.

Izuku was starting to question Giran’s judgment if he thought these people were worth checking out. The League might still be a rather minor villain group, but he couldn’t think of any group worth their salt that would take these two on. Honestly, he was surprised the two hadn’t been caught already.

Izuku knocked two times on the bar’s rafters where he sat, as a signal to the two League members below. He watched Shigaraki nod in agreement, and almost immediately the two interviewees were warped out of the bar by Kurogiri. Clearly the mist man had also disliked them both.

“Did you really have to take that long?” Shigaraki said with a slight sneer as Izuku leapt down from the rafters. He simply gave the man a teasing smirk and didn’t reply as he sat on the arm of the couch. In truth, Izuku had already figured it out in 5 minutes, but messing with Shigaraki was always fun.

Shigaraki glared at him and pushed him with a finger curled up to his palm so as to not accidentally dust the other. Izuku simply laughed as he fell back onto the couch, and he swore he could hear a small chuckle come from Kurogiri’s direction.

“Hey, don’t blame me Tomura! Giran said they were worth checking out, I figured I’d give them the benefit of the doubt.” Izuku said, his smile getting a little wider. Giran and Izuku had a… professional relationship, but he was also one of Izuku’s favorite people to fuck with.

Izuku was pretty sure the only reason Giran pushed him toward working with the League and Shigaraki was because he didn’t want the green haired boy stealing his clients. Jokes on him though, Izuku was already planning on joining the League due to… other circumstances.

“Sure shrimp, you’re totally not just saying that to throw Giran under the bus.” Shigaraki, or Tomura as Izuku called him, said with his own smirk. Izuku gave a dramatically fake offended expression, and the light blue haired boy gave a small snort.

Izuku had never imagined himself being here in the future, as a villain. He had always hoped he would be a hero as a child, but that just wasn’t in store for him. Everyone had refused him and looked down upon him for nearly his whole life. He hadn’t thought about turning to villainy, but if that was how he could help the only people who had been there for him at his worst, then he accepted it with his open arms.
