Fine Wine

Summary:

Everyone is confused when they see Kaiser without the usual added addition of Ness attached to his hip. When people question Kaiser, they only become more confused when Kaiser himself doesn’t know why Ness isn’t at his side either.

What happens when Kaiser falls apart at the seams without his friend and super duper secret crush? Will his feelings reach out to Ness before it’s too late? Or will Kaiser continue to suffer the unknown?

Notes:

au details:

this is a no-blue-lock au where both kaiser and ness are exchange students from germany. kaiser is living with isagi while ness is living with kurona, hope this helps 🫶

Work Text:

Kaiser woke up this fine Monday morning feeling his absolute worst.

The night before he had spent a lot of his time tossing and turning, peering over his bedside to check his phone before going back to tossing and turning when all he saw were fashion reels from Grimm and a text from Isagi telling him to stop leaving his wet towel all over the counter.

The German exchange student came to school with a wrinkled uniform, his hair out of place like static, and none of his fiery red eye makeup. Kaiser sat in his seat of first period in anticipation, tense with his leg bouncing in place.

Halfway through class he had slumped over in his seat when the chair beside him stayed empty throughout the period. Kaiser’s anxiety was going off the charts.

Did last night really go that horribly? He didn’t even know what he did wrong! Was what he said that off putting?? What did he even do.

Kaiser leaves his class in a flurry. When he turns the corner he bumps into someone, which is just plain annoying.

He brushes down his uniform shirt and looks up, just about to tell the person in front of him to fuck off and watch where they’re going, he is not in the mood, but he stopped himself.

“Dear god, you look like a mess.” Kaiser wasn’t very amused with Yukimiya’s concern for his…ahem. Lukewarm appearance.

“For real. Is bro good?” His annoyance heightens at the comment coming from Otoya on the sidelines.

Kaiser scowled at the two. “Shut up. Have any of you seen Alexis this morning?”

The pair looked at each other, as if they had to communicate telepathically in order to figure out if they really had seen Ness that morning.

“Nope.”

“No, isn’t he in your first period?”

Kaiser turns around, directly facing the wall and proceeds to slam his forehead against the wall. “I’m going to kill myself.”

“Jesus-“

“Bro is not good.”

Yukimiya sighs and guards Kaiser’s abused forehead with his hand. “Hey, so are you going to tell us what happened? Are you and Ness quarreling?”

Who the fuck says quarreling? And unironically too? Huge Grimm vibes from Yukimiya right now.

“I don’t know!” Kaiser faces them again, throwing his arms up. “I —ugh, I don’t want to talk about it. If you see him I need you to let me know immediately.”

Yukimiya frowns, unsure but he yields anyways. “If you say so.”

They pass by Kaiser and Otoya pipes up for his last one-liner. “You guys should kiss and make up.”

Kaiser rolls his eyes.

During the second period that day Kaiser is bored of Modern Japanese and pulls his phone out under his desk. Without a second thought, he pulls up his messages with Grimm.

—Because no way in hell is he going to open up vulnerably with Erik.

Me

Negative.
Has anything transpired? Or currently transpiring as we speak?

Kaiser slams his lunch tray down like it was his personal enemy. Just what did he do wrong? Did Ness really skip school just because he didn’t want to see him?

“Hey, you look…really alone.” Kaiser looked up and was…actually very surprised to see it was Isagi sitting his bento in front of him.

“Yoichi?” The German said with all the hope in the world because despite their battles on the field and the rough start to their relationship, it was touching that in the end, they really were friends….

“Hey. No Ness today?” Aaand whatever momentarily joy Kaiser had felt is gone. Clearly upset and never that good at hiding his true emotions, Kaiser stabbed his chopsticks straight into his fried fish.

Isagi frowned and pointed at the chopsticks, with his fingers and not his own utensils. “That’s a sign of bad luck and death, you know?”

Kaiser groaned, ripping the sticks out. “Is that why Alexis is seemingly avoiding me?” He was pouting like a child, he knows, but what else was he supposed to do when his best friend didn’t come to school out of nowhere the day after he seemingly ran away from him the night before?

“What makes you say that?” Isagi asks him with a bit of concern, for Kaiser’s tantrum throwing and for Ness.

The two had been attached at the hip since they came to Japan and transferred in as exchange students —and very much beyond their arrival in Japan, Isagi could imagine.

On top of that, everyone knows and talks about how annoying it is whenever Ness sucks up to (dickrides) Kaiser. So to hear that there seems to be a rift in their friendship was a shock to Isagi.

Kaiser sighs, picking at his food. “It’s…complicated.”

Isagi shrugs. “I don’t care dude, We got all of lunch, lay it on me.”

Kaiser looks up to see the boy across from him looking determined, looking sincere about listening to his troubles.

“…Okay fine. So uh, haha, backstory…”

<>

Shockingly, Michael hadn’t noticed his crush on Alexis until after their arrival to Japan.

<>

“Wait, you actually have a crush on-!?”

“Shh! Do you want the whole cafe to hear!? Damn!” Kaiser hisses, taking his hand away from Isagi’s mouth.

“Sorry…continue.” Isagi urges him on as he takes a bite out of tamagoyaki.

<>

Ahem. As I was narrating…

For as long as the two had been friends, since they were mere kids who happened to grow up in the same neighborhood, Michael was embarrassingly late to acknowledge the intimate feelings bubbling for his close friend.

Of course, Michael knew Alexis was special.

Their football careers started with each other. They impulsively bought cheap hair dye from their local Rossman and spread a mess of blue and purple dye all over Michael’s bathroom together. Alexis was there when Michael got his tattoo done and Michael was there when Alexis got his wisdom teeth removed.

So when Michael enrolled in a foreign student exchange program to Japan, it was natural that Alexis would follow.

Michael was saddened when he and Alexis would be living in separate neighborhoods for the first time in their lives. So to make up for it, the two would go out at night, pick up something from a nearby 7/11 and just eat together.

Some nights one of them would bring a ball and play around in a nearby park. Other nights they just sit, calling their Germany friends who are up in their own time zones.

And other other nights it was just them. Sitting, leaning on each other, talking, just being in the prescience of them.

It was a some nights kind of night, where Alexis brought the ball this time and they had just finished their meal of melonpan and onigiris. Michael was a picky eater but he settled fine with tuna and mayo.

The two were kicking a ball around, not going easy on each other but going easy enough so that they don’t accidentally launch a ball into the tail lights of someone’s car.

It was refreshing. Michael and Alexis were always on the same team and they played different positions so it was rare that they would go head to head with each other.

Michael was marking Alexis aggressively, a worthy opponent to keep up with his insane dribbling. “Who’s there for you to pass to, huh Lexi? You have no choice but to shoot.”

Alexis kept the ball moving, focusing his eyes on the goal in front of him (two trees that were connected by a barrier of bushes in this case)

“Are you underestimating me, Micha?” Alexis sweeps his feet around Michael and flips his world upside down.

Alexis moves behind Michael and shoots with a direct shot. The ball goes in between trees and Alexis hollers.

“Fuck yes!” He whoops, arms high up in the air.

Michael looked at his friend in the corner of his eyes and despite how silly their practice run was, with how excited Alexis was over a goal he shot in between those trees, he couldn’t help but smile. “I’m relieved you don’t play as a striker…I’d be a little worried.”

Alexis beams, his smile was wide and his eyes big and innocent. “Ah! Re-really?”

“Of course! I wouldn’t lie about that.” Michael scratched his cheek, feeling sheepish all of a sudden.

“Well yeah but…I love being a midfielder.” Alexis looks away, his arms go behind his back.

Michael just knows he’s begun to lightly rub at his forearm, a sure sign of anticipation, shyness.

“I love assisting you with your goals. Your goals are yours just as they are mine, Micha.” Alexis looked back at him and Michael felt his heart stop.

Those wine colored eyes looked at him with devotion, faithfulness. Michael felt his heart rate pick up and a warmth spread over his entire body.

In that moment, Alexis the Magician had put a spell on him that there was no coming back from.

<>

“Oh, that was just like me and Isagi!” Kaiser’s retelling of the origins of the feelings he holds for his friend is interrupted by a high pitched, male voice, dreadfully familiar.

“Ba-Bachira!” Isagi’s face burns a bright pink at the boy clinging onto him.

Kaiser wrinkles his nose at the sight. He was sort of hoping that Isagi would be the only one to hear about his woeful endeavors but he supposes that, like him and Ness, Bachira and Isagi came in a set that couldn’t be seperated.

“Don’t compare yourselves to me and Alexis. Can I continue?”

Bachira hums in the middle of gulping down his milk, giving Kaiser one big thumbs up.

Kaiser looked at Isagi with a tired stare and the best he offered the German was a sheepish shrug with pink tinted cheeks.

Gay.

<>

Speaking of gay, from that day forward was when Michael had realized that he was gay.

Actually, Michael had always known he was bisexual, he just…didn’t think he’d be bi for his best friend.

He began to notice a lot more things from then on, things about Alexis that he was shocked he didn’t pick up within the past 12 years they’ve known each other.

Despite being in Japan and not having access to the same shampoos and soaps, he still manages to smell like sweet berries. —Just with the added addition of cherry blossoms.

He knows Alexis uses chapstick (raspberry red) but he only recently notices just how much Alexis smacks his lips and purses his smooth, glossy lips.

(And how much he wants to kiss them)

<>

“Okay, didn’t need to know that!”

“Isagi should I start wearing chapstick? What’s your favorite flavor?”

<>

Ahem. Anyways—

Michael becomes more and more aware of everything Alexis Ness and it consumes his every waking thought. In the mornings he wishes Alexis could skip across the street and wake him up every morning (Maybe even wake up beside him on some mornings)

Michael looks at fruits like raspberries, plums, and grapes and all that goes through his head is ‘Lexi Lexi Lexi’.

With every Lexi he muttered and every Micha Alexis called him, it grew harder and harder to keep it inside. Locked and hidden was not Michael’s forte.

So Michael had to unload everything on one of their konbini runs.

It was an other other night that very Sunday night. Michael got himself a shrimp cutlet sandwich while Alexis snacked on a kimbap sushi roll. The pair was sitting on a bench, Michael was shamelessly leaning on Alexis’s shoulder.

Michael looked at his friend in the corner of his eye and had to resist smiling giddily. Alexis was always a polite eater, he’d stuff his mouth with a whole roll before he would daintily cover his mouth. As he chewed, the curtains fell over his gorgeous burgundy eyes and those long lashes fanned over his cheekbones.

Michael sits up, turning to Alexis. “Lexi.”

Alexis hums, not opening his eyes as he finishes chewing and swallows his food.

“Lexi, can I tell you something?”

Alexis hums again, except he does open his eyes and Michael swears his heart stopped in that moment. Those eyes were hazy, looking deep into his own eyes like wine swirling in a flute.

“Yes, Micha?”

Michael swallows thickly. He feels his palms become clammy, his heart beats faster than it already had been. A part of him tries to pull back, that he can’t do this now, it’s going to be too much for him.

But Michael knew that if he shrinks back on himself then he’s going to spend the night, the next week, month, who knows, berating himself for not giving his true heart to his best friend in its rawest form.

“I love you.”

Holy shit…did he just say that?

The wine goes still and Michael wants nothing more than to drown in it. Get drunk and go to sleep with the wine resting in his system. It was a substance that would help put his racing heart to a rest.

“I…”

That soft voice tickles Michael’s ears, as if whatever Alexis was to say is kept for his ears and his ears only.

“I have to go.”

Michael’s poor poor heart, that’s already been racing, jumping, panting, goes dead.

“What?” Alexis gets up and Michael has half a mind to just reach out and stop him.

“I-I have to go!” He was about to run off and Michael takes the initiative to actually grab onto his wrist.

Michael also stands up, forcing Alexis to face him. “Alexis, why?” He tries to keep it in but nothing could keep the tremble of devastation out of his voice as he said that.

And when Alexis tugs his hand free from him, it feels like a part of his heart was ripped with him.

“I…” Alexis brings his arms to his stomach, tears welling up in his eyes. “I’m so sorry.”

When Alexis runs away, Michael lets him. Michael watches him go, whatever was left of his heart in tatters and resting heavy in the pits of his stomach.

<>

Isagi and Bachira look at each other, worried. The German boy in front of him stared into his uneaten food, looking the most distraught, just miserable.

“I…that’s fucked up of Ness, man.” Bachira winces.

Isagi sighs, shaking his head. “Yeah. You guys haven’t talked since then?”

Kaiser shakes his head. “No. I was hoping I could talk to him today but then he doesn’t show up to school!” He thumps his forehead on his table, loudly.

He feels an extra two pairs of eyes look at him and he almost stands up to yell at Yukimiya and Otoya to mind their fucking business.

“Well! You guys have been like in the womb together right?” Isagi looks at Bachira in horror and Kaiser lifts his head up just to do the same. “What? What I’m saying is that you guys have been friends since five-ever so I don’t think Ness is going to just like…move on without saying anything or avoid you forever!” Bachira waves around a piece of fish before plopping it in his mouth.

“So! I know it sucks and it hurts and it seems like the end of the world but wait until you guys actually talk things out first to see how he really feels maybe?”

Kaiser stares at Bachira in astonishment, flabbergasted, and Isagi in a pleasant surprise.

Kaiser turns to Isagi. “Why is he actually good at giving advice?”

Isagi shrugs, smiling proudly. “You’re telling me! Bachira is good at this stuff!”

“What can I say? I was the cupid that made Hiori and Rin happen!”

“Wait what?”

“I didn't know that-“

Before Kaiser can hear this story, the bell to indicate the end of lunch period rings. He looks down at his half eaten vegetables, the milk he only took one sip off, and the fried fish that was falling apart from the sheer amount of times he stabbed his fork into it.

He was beginning to regret how little he ate.

“Here.” Kaiser looks a little beyond his tray at the kimbap sushi roll in front of him. “Usually Bachira get’s super hungry after school so I was saving this for him but you can have it.”

“Wha-“ Bachira looks between the two, distressed. “Yo-chan?? What am I going to eat!?”

“Bachi —don’t call me that in public!” Isagi’s facial complexion turned up to a bright red at record breaking spread. “I’ll buy you something from the konbini after school!! Don’t let the man starve.”

Bachira sighed loudly and dramatically. “Fiiiiine! You better enjoy the fuck out of that sushi, Kaiser.” He looks at Kaiser, pouting.

Kaiser breaks out laughing, shaking his head. “Sorry Bachira, I appreciate it though!”

It was the first time he had genuinely smiled that day.

<>

Kaiser stops Isagi on the way out to let him know that he wasn’t going home immediately. —To which Isagi tells him okay and that he was going to go to Bachira’s house after school anyways.

Damn. No need to brag about it.

One short train ride later, Kaiser finds himself at a rustic yet humble house, plagued with the sign, ‘KURONA’ beside it.

When the door opens at Kaiser’s knock, it’s revealed to be the one person he didn’t want to interact with on this impromptu visit.

“Ew. I told Yukimiya to be the one to drop off any work Ness might be missing.”

Kaiser curls his lip at the short, redheaded boy standing in front of him. “Can it pipsqueak. So Lexi is home?”

Kurona snorts and moves to lean against the doorway of his house. “You seriously call him that? And what does Ness call you? A cracker?”

How the fuck did Ness get stuck with such a bratty kid?

“Can you shut up and answer my question!?” Kaiser snaps at him. He’s here to talk to his best-friend-slash-love-of-his-life-aka-his-soulmate after spending the entire day moping over the possibility that he’s lost that very person.

He does not want to deal with Kurona’s snarky comments and anti-him propaganda.

“Kurona, who is that?”

Kaiser perks up and Kurona immediately closes the door further, only leaving a sliver of space between the doorway so as to limit Kaiser’s view of the house inside when he stands on his tippy toes to look over his head.

“Nothing! Just Jehovah’s witnesses!” Kurona’s face disappears behind the door as he yells back.

“Alexis!? Is that you!??” Kaiser’s hand latches onto the doorknob and suddenly a struggle for control over the door breaks out.

Kaiser was more fit than Kurona but the shorter of the two had dropped his full weight directly on the door. “Kurona you fucking shark week motherfucker, I hope you get donated to a sea world and you get a documentary made about you.

Kurona whips his head back, eyes demonic and teeth extra sharp. “HKEEEEE.” He hisses, making Kaiser flinch.

“What the fuck!?”

“STAY AWAY FROM MY BROTHER.”

“What the actual fuck!?”

“Kurona, who is that…?” Kaiser’s motivation heightens as he hears a light, slightly raspy and tired voice coming from the house.

“Ness, call the cops, they're forcing the holy scriptures on me!!”

Suddenly, the door opens, causing Kaiser to fall forward. Kurona jumped out of the way and Kaiser felt two warm arms wrapped around him, catching him. Kaiser balanced himself properly on his feet before looking down.

Sure enough, he saw those wine colored eyes, urging him to drown in them.

“Lexi…”

The pale curtains waved over the burgundy apertures for a second and those pale, soft lips opened. Do they taste freshly of raspberry red too?

“Mi-Micha-“

“Get off of him!” Kaiser was forcefully pulled away and the great wall of jaws came in between him and destiny.

Kurona growls at him. “Ness doesn’t want to see your goofy ass!”

“Keep talking and I’m gonna start selling necklaces with your teeth on them off of Etsy.”

“I will fucking bite you-!”

“Kurona.” Ness sighed, placing a hand on the younger’s head. Kurona turned back and Ness gave him a gentle smile. “I’ll be fine. Can you refill the humidifier for me please?”

Kurona looks back at Kaiser and sneers. “Fine. Give me a call if anything happens and I’ll guarantee you they’ll never find the body.”

“Kurona.”

“Peppermint oil? Peppermint oil, got it.” Kurona gave Kaiser one last glare before walking back into the house.

Ness watches him go, probably to make sure that Kurona actually goes to fill the humidifier and not stand behind the corner listening in on them.

Ness turns back to him and Kaiser feels like he’s been struck by lightning. Looking at him, really looking at Ness, he sees that Ness is wearing a pair of biker shorts, tightly hugging his —ahem…sculpted thighs. But most importantly-

“Is that my shirt?”

Ness blinks at him, looking down at said shirt. It was a shirt with the trends international Guns N’ Roses cross, a size bigger on Ness and the hem of the shirt nearly covered his shorts.

The last time Kaiser saw that shirt was in Germany?

“Yeah…um, anyways, what are you doing here?” Ness shifted on his feet, bringing his arms behind his beck. His eyes were straying near the ground, to the doorway, anywhere but him.

Oh, he’s nervous.

Kaiser gulps before his mind registers something. “Wait, are you okay? Your voice sounds…are you sick?” He refers to the light raspiness in Ness’s voice.

“Oh yeah! Fuck —I’m so sorry about last night Kaiser!” Ness brings his hands to tug at his (Kaiser’s) shirt. “My body chose the wrong time for the food poisoning from that burrito Kurona picked up for me when he went to Taco Bell to kick in. I swear I heard you I just didn’t want to like…throw up in front of you and have you think that I was throwing up because I was disgusted by you…I’m not by the way.”

“He not like me for real.”

Ness and Kaiser look back, seeing Kurona peering…creepily around the corner of the foyer.

“You gave him food poisoning, you shark tank! You ruined my otherwise perfect confession!” Kaiser points accusingly at him.

Kurona cackles, pointing back at him. “Haha! I wish I did that on purpose because then I would have been a real mastermind!”

“You’d give me food poisoning on purpose?” Ness looks at Kurona in horror.

“What? The humidifier is refilled, I’m gonna go make rice.” Kurona leaves and Ness turns to Kaiser.

“Anyways-“

“Wait so-” Kaiser interrupts, shaking his head in disbelief “…you don’t hate me?” He asks, shyly, tentatively, dreading.

Ness looks at him and his eyes just softens to a mushy degree. “Micha…I could never hate you.”

Kaiser nods at him, letting those words sink in, words that so easily gave him shivers down his spine. “I know…I just worry sometimes.”

He frowns, looking at Kaiser almost sadly. “You shouldn’t have to.” Ness steps forward and, surprisingly, he hugs Kaiser.

He freezes, overwhelmed by the warmth engulfing his torso and the overwhelming scent of berries and cherry blossoms, a scent he missed so much. Kaiser looked down at the head of hazelnut turned magenta hair buried in his chest and he felt it start to swell happily. He wraps his arms around his friend and in that moment, Kaiser becomes fearful of that word.

Ness could never hate him, could never tell him, or feel like, their friendship is over. But Ness could look at him as just that, a friend. And Kaiser should be grateful that no matter what, he’ll still have Ness’s eyes in his life.

But he’s greedy. He’ll want Ness in his arms just like this, but to hold him flush against his body as they kiss. He wants to tell Ness he loves him, and to hear it back the same way.

Because Kaiser knows that moving on from Ness is hardly an option.

He swallows the swell growing in his esophagus, he has no doubt Ness could hear just how hard his heart was beating.

“I shouldn’t have to worry as in, you’ll always be my friend or…?” Kaiser cringes, fear overloading the feelings of comfort Ness’s hug gave him.

The feelings of comfort continue to squander the moment Ness decides to pull away. Kaiser holds onto his forearms in a moment of weakness. Just to hold onto the fleeting moments of solace before Ness ultimately rejects him.

Ness looks him in the eyes, and once again, Kaiser wants to drown in them. Wants to die happy in them.

“Well, we’ll always be friends Micha,” Oh, oh this sucks. Using his nickname reserved only for Ness? Oh he’s gonna cry isn’t he?

“-but I definitely don’t mind if we were more than that.”

What.

Kaiser feels the world around him stop.

“You —we, what?” He blinks, looking into Ness’s eyes and it feels like in the midst of drowning, he’s being saved.

Ness smiles, the very wide smile that had that cute little dip near his cupid’s bow. Kaiser wants to kiss him stupid.

“You’re so…charming.” Ness laughs, loud in short little bursts. He leans forward on the power of his laughs, instinctively bringing his hands up to lean against Kaiser’s chest.

Kaiser feels his heart continue to pound under the soft palm of Ness’s hand. He continues to stare, wondering can I kiss him right now?

Ness purses his lips shut, retracting one of his hands to cover up the continuous giggles threatening to escape his body.

Kaiser blinks, overwhelmed by the whiplash in his emotions, the adjective Ness had the audacity to use for him, and just how adorable Ness was.

“I am -…do you really think so?” Kaiser asks in bewilderment.

Ness snorts, letting his giggles escape once more and whether he was laughing with or at him, Kaiser wouldn’t mind as long as that angelic sound keeps filling his ears.

Kaiser pouts and he takes the initiative to pull Ness in by his waist. He cut off the sound of Ness’s laugh and replaced it with a gasp and oh Kaiser’s ego inflated tenfold. “Why are you laughing? Don’t I deserve an answer after stressing out all day over whether you loved me the same way I love you?”

Ness compressed his lips, very clearly biting back a smile. “I was really worrying your pretty little head over that?”

“Yes!” Ness tossed his head back and laughed. “You ran away after I told you I loved you! In what world would I not be worried!?”

Kaiser pouts, moving to stuff his reddening face in the crook of Ness’s shoulders. “Stop laughing!”

Ness continued to laugh. He maneuvered his hands to take Kaiser’s face in them, moving him so that they were face to face.

Ness’s cheshire grin grew wider at the sight of Kaiser’s pouty, cherry tomato face. “Do you want my answer?”

“Fuck yes, please!

Ness bought their faces even closer, their noses bumping. Kaiser could smell raspberry red and antici……..pation grew.

Ness’s hands trailed down his smooth cheeks, lightly thumbing the bottom of Kaiser’s lips. Sangria eyes looked down, straight at his lips and it felt like Kaiser was looking in a mirror. On the inside, he wondered, just how many times did Ness look at his lips with the urge to capture them with his own the way he did to him?

Ness looked back up, staring into his eyes, giving Kaiser the time to swim, getting drunk off of them one last time.

“I love you.”

Their lips crashed together and finally, Kaiser was able to get a taste of how sweet raspberry red was. How smooth that chapstick made Ness’s lips.

He brought Ness as close as possible against his body. An arm was enclosed around his waist and Kaiser pulled one of his hands up to cup Ness’s cheek.

Ness’s own hands grazed past Kaiser’s cheek and around the back of his head to run his fingers through the long strands of his dyed blue hair. Hair that was dyed and re-dyed, always with Ness.

Kaiser was having a five sense overload, the taste of raspberry red was tinging his tongue, the smell of berries and the added note of cherry blossoms clogged his nose, Kaiser still has the image of Ness’s eyes looking into his own and flickering down to his lips ingrained in his mind, Ness’s lithe body pressed against his own and his cheek was soft against his palm with lips pillowy against his, and the breathy sighs, the sounds of their lips smacking and Ness’s sweet sweet moans were bound to drive Kaiser mad.

Kaiser held Ness’s chin between his thumb and forefinger, gently pulling it down. When Ness’s mouth pried open, Kaiser took the opportunity to slip his tongue in and taste every crevice of his cavern.

Kaiser reviled in the tightening grip in his hair, followed by the collar of his shirt. Ness let out a divine whimper against his lips and Kaiser need need needed to pull more from him.

‘Let out more sounds for me, show me how good I make you feel, how you love that I can finally show you everything I’ve wanted to do to you-‘

“EW!!!”

Ness jumped, disconnecting their lips, along with the string of saliva that connected them. He looked back and Kaiser groaned, thumping his forehead against the crown of Ness’s head.

“Kurona!” Ness scolded, as if the poor boy was the one having a heated make out session in the middle of their open doorway.

Kurona stick his finger in his mouth and mocked gagging sounds. “Ewie! You’re so lucky Mom and Dad aren’t home right now. Premarital kissing is a no go in this household!”

Kaiser growled, snapping his head up and subconsciously squeezing Ness tight in his arms. “I swear to fucking god Kurona I am going to skin you alive!”

Kurona responded maturely by pulling an eye bag down and sticking out his tongue. “Ness is still sick by the way, I hope you’re fucking bedridden tomorrow!”

“Fucking knock off Raichi!” Kaiser takes a stomp into the household and Kurona runs off, giggling.

“Don’t fuck in the driveway!”

Ness sighs, holding into Kaiser’s arm. “Don’t pay attention to him, Micha. He’s just trying to rile you up.”

Kaiser scowls in the direction the boy ran off in but he backs down. “Don’t you dare invite him to the wedding, he will object.”

Ness snorts, shaking his head. “We just had our first kiss and you’re already planning out wedding invitations?”

“Oh baby, of course! I know you well enough to imagine what kind of wedding you’d like. Autumn wedding?” Kaiser smirks, winking at his boyfriend.

—To which, Kaiser wants to jump up and let out a little ‘yippee!’ at the thought that he could now call Ness his boyfriend and it’s not just a part of his fantasies and wishful thinking.

Ness noticeably blushes and Kaiser wants to tell him how nicely pink compliments his garnet eyes. “That actually does sound nice…not summer though.”

Kaiser wraps Ness up in his arms and pulls him close once more. “Whatever you want, sweet cheeks~

“A-ah!” Ness shakes his head vigorously, visibly taken aback by Kaiser’s sudden flirtyness and the embarrassingly corny nickname. “Where is this coming from!?”

“It’s always been there…” Kaiser whispers directly in Ness’s ear. Then he tilts his face toward him, closing the distance between them.

“Now I don’t have to hold back.”

Ness’s jaw-slacked lips were trembling as his face continued to turn pinker, crossing the line between pink and red.

Kaiser found it in himself that he just couldn’t hold himself back and leaned in, ready to devour Ness and-

“Ness, don’t tell Mom I’m gonna gnaw on this tortilla-”

“I SWEAR TO FUCKING GOD-“

“Kurona!”

Another grand revelation Kaiser had made besides Ness’s feelings for him, was that the one downside to dating Ness was becoming brothers in law with the most annoying brat he’s ever met.

-Additional Time!-

“Wait so you were really sick?” Michael asks as Alexis turns on the humidifier before taking some medicine.

“Yes! That’s why I didn’t go to school, dummy!”

Michael pouts, almost feeling offended. “Well I didn’t know that! I really thought you hated me…”

“I’m sorry, I was just so embarrassed but…” Alexis paused to snort behind his hand. “You couldn’t text me to at least ask me why I didn’t go to school?”

A moment of silence passes by the two and something horrifying dawns on Kaiser.

“Holy shit why didn’t I think of that!?

“Y-you…” Ness covered his mouth and Kaiser sat up straight.

“Ness, please don’t laugh…”

Ness’s shoulders trembled, and when he spoke his voice was high pitched as if he was on the verge of tears. “You could have…relieved so much of your stress…if you just-“

“Look I was practically mourning you today!??”

That was the dam that put Ness in a fit of tear-jerking laughs, which was an absolute blow to the ego for Kaiser.

As Ness’s laugh died down, he couldn’t help but pepper kisses all over his boyfriend’s face to make it up to him.

Of course Ness chose to be with the most over dramatic drama queen.
