"Goodnight, dad."

Summary:

Tighnari has to leave for an important expedition and asks Cyno to take care of Collei for one evening. Cyno is very nervous because Collei can be very weary of him, but he soon realizes that it wasn't as scary as he made it seem.

Work Text:

A deep exhale left Cyno’s lips. He was seated on a comfortable couch in Tighnari’s hut, watching as his partner packed his bags. The fox rambled about important things Cyno must not forget.

It wasn’t like every day that Cyno, the General Mahamatra, was in the Avidya Forest at this hour. On a usual day, he would have left the Akademiya to get ready for the long trip back to the desert or rent a room in the bustling center of Sumeru City.

But that day was different.

Cyno had received a letter from Tighnari a week ago. They often send each other letters when Cyno is in the desert, mostly discussing their days and what they want to do as soon as they are able to meet up again. But in that particular letter, Tighnari had asked Cyno to help Collei.

The fox was heading out for an expedition that could only be held in the evening hours, and he felt uncomfortable by the idea of leaving Collei alone at home. The teen dreaded being alone because of her anxiety and PTSD, and she needed someone to help her with the medicines for her Eleazar. After finding out all the forest rangers Collei knew well were busy, there was just one person left on the list.

Cyno.

Collei wasn’t particularly close with Cyno, he and Tighnari both knew that. But she had known Cyno for a very long time and it was better than a forest ranger she only saw twice a week. He also knew about her past, so she wouldn’t have to explain anything.

“I keep her Eleazar medicines in the cabinet above my desk. The instructions are written on the bottles, so no panic there. Wait, let me show you which ones you should use,” Tighnari rambled. He fluttered around the house like a busy crystalfly, coming back to the couch where Cyno was seated to take him to the cabinet with the medicines.

Cyno looked into the cabinet. There were multiple bottles and flacons, some filled with liquids and creams, the others filled with dried plants or insects in an acid solution. “These are the ones you should use,” Tighnari pointed. There were indeed stickers on the side of the glass bottles with text written on it.

“Do I have to apply them on her skin?”

Tighnari turned his head and nodded.

“But-,” Cyno huffed, reaching for Tighnari’s wrist. He suddenly sounded a lot more insecure than his usual stoic and confident aura. “She’s scared of me.”

A soft chuckle left Tighnari’s throat. He then stepped closer, holding Cyno’s hands to press a kiss on his lips. “Cyno, she’s not scared of you.”

“But why does she tremble whenever I get too close to her?”

“Collei has told me she just feels a little weary of you because of your demeanor, and she doesn’t see you that often. It’s just… because of what happened to her,” Tighnari hummed, his lips still pressed against Cyno’s ones as he spoke.

Cyno’s red eyes focused on the floor beneath them, he couldn’t contain the growl that rumbled in his throat. He bit his lip to soften the noise when he noticed it, eyes meeting with Tighnari’s once again. The fox didn’t even bother. He was very much used to it.

“This is all The Doctor’s fault.”

“Yes… Collei has a hard time trusting and opening up to people and because you are usually in the desert, she hasn’t had the time to warm up to you. Just give her some time. She was exactly like that to me too, when she had just moved in with me.”

“Would it help if I came by more often?” Cyno suddenly asked after a short silence, watching Tighnari now move around the hut again to pack the last objects in his bag.

The fox nodded when he was done packing. “I’m sure she will open up to you in no time. Collei’s patrol routes end around 7 pm, so you can expect her to be home around that time. You can prepare whatever you like for dinner, Collei isn’t a picky eater. The only thing she can’t eat is nuts. She has a severe nut allergy.”

“Alright, noted,” Cyno replied, a shivery sigh leaving his lips. He wasn’t the person to get nervous very often, but he cared a lot about Collei and this was the first time he was going to be home alone with her. And Archons, he had to bring her to bed and tuck her in as well.

Tighnari chuckled at the sight of seeing his usually so confident boyfriend be nervous. He placed his heavy bag on the floor and came closer to him one last time, leaning in for a kiss. The Matra immediately melted and closed his eyes when Tighnari’s thin but soft lips met his own.

But the fox pulled away almost immediately, making Cyno groan.

“I’m sure it will be okay, you can do this,” Tighnari assured him, grinning at Cyno’s grumpy face.

“I’m not nervous,” Cyno huffed. He pouted his lips when the fox let out a hearty laugh and wrapped his lanky arms around Cyno’s midsection.

“I’ve known you longer than today Cyno, you’re going to be okay.”

“You’re sure?”

Tighnari nodded. “As long as you don’t growl around her as you did a minute ago.”

After another goodbye kiss, Tighnari left the hut. Cyno was alone now. He looked around and decided to rest on the couch.

As he was sitting down, he thought of what Tighnari had told him. It was hard to imagine Collei being weary of Tighnari, especially because of how comfortable she felt around him now. He was like a father figure to him, and Collei also called him ‘dad’.

Cyno couldn’t help but sometimes feel a little jealous of the bond Tighnari and Collei had. He understood Collei really needed time to get to know someone, but it just hurt. She was just… so closed off to him. This unfortunately was a recurring theme in Cyno’s life, people usually kept their distance from him because of his reputation as the General Mahamatra and his personality.

Tighnari was known and loved by a lot of people. Most people who met Tighnari would describe him as caring, knowledgeable and also sly, and stubborn in some way. He has a warm and comforting aura and the ability to make most people feel at ease around him. Cyno on the other hand has often been called stern and cold. Some people even speculate he’s emotionless. Something Cyno absolutely can’t stand, as it is one of the biggest misconceptions about him.

He does care. He cares for his friends and loved ones, including Collei. He cares so much about her well-being that it angers him when Tighnari would tell him that the teen’s Eleazar had worsened.

He is a caring person, maybe even a little too caring.

And it wasn’t like he was a total stranger to Collei. He is Tighnari’s long-term boyfriend, and she knew that. Which would technically also make him a father-

A groan left Cyno’s lips and he shook his head as if it would make his troublesome thoughts disappear. Overthinking about this wasn’t going to change anything. The small clock on the wall told Cyno that it was already half past six and that he really should start cooking. So he stood up, stretched his limbs, and left the hut.

All he could do was be kind to Collei, and give her the time to open up.

The small kitchen of Tighnari’s hut was outside. The fox had built a fire pit with a grid fastened on top of it. It was great for grilling, and Cyno decided to grill some fresh mushrooms he had picked earlier that day. Tighnari rambled about edible mushrooms and their poisonous doppelgängers very often when they cuddled. Cyno was now even starting to recognize them as he made his way from the desert to Gandharva Ville and took them home. Tighnari would always check them though, and dispose of any poisonous ones Cyno had accidentally picked.

The mushrooms were grilling perfectly and Cyno was pleased, so he decided to move on to the rich sweet salad filled with grapes, apples, and zaytun peaches. He would’ve preferred to add a handful of nuts too, but was quickly reminded of Collei’s nut allergy so he left them out this time. The last addition to the meal was the naan bread, which Cyno baked perfectly crispy above the fire pit after the mushrooms were done.

It was, just like Tighnari had said, exactly 7 pm when Collei returned. Cyno had just finished filling two plates and brought the food inside, placing them on the small dining table. He suddenly heard the familiar rustling of the big banana leaves that Tighnari had hung in the opening of the hut. Collei entered the small room, immediately turning to the matra standing at the table.

“Hello, Collei,” Cyno greeted her, his lips forming into a small smile. “How was your patrol today?”

“Oh, General Cyno,” Collei’s voice sounded shy and soft as she spoke. She then noticed the food that was waiting for her on the table and her eyes widened. “D-did you make this for me?”

“I did,” Cyno sat down, gesturing for Collei to also sit down on the chair across from him. “And you don’t have to call me General Cyno. Just Cyno is fine.”

“Oh, sorry-“ was all Collei could mumble as she sat down. Cyno saw her scan the food on her plate.

“I grilled some mushrooms,” he started, “and made a salad with apples, grapes, and zaytun peaches. I figured you’re probably hungry after today, so there’s also naan bread with butter.”

Collei didn’t reply, but the expression on her face told Cyno that she appreciated the dinner he had made for her. She grabbed her fork and started eating. Her tired face lit up as the flavors hit her tongue, and for the first time, she smiled at Cyno.

“This is really delicious!” she exclaimed.

A soft, warm hum left Cyno’s throat and he smiled. “All for you. I’m glad you like it.”

The two ate their dinner in silence, both of them listening to the clock ticking on the wall and the sounds of the rainforest outside.

“Is… is it okay to lie down for a moment?” Collei questioned, fumbling with her hands as she looked at Cyno. She had just finished eating.

“Of course, I am going to clean our dirty dishes and the kitchen,” Cyno nodded. He stood up from the table to collect the dirty dishes from the table.

“D-do you need help?”

“Collei, don’t worry. You must be tired after patrolling the forest, go lie down. I can do this on my own,” Cyno reassured the teenager, walking closer to her to place his hand on her shoulder.

“Okay. Thank you,” Collei exhaled. She then turned around and walked off, disappearing behind the curtains that lead to her bedroom.

This was going much better than he had anticipated, Cyno thought, and couldn’t help but smile slightly. Tighnari was right, once again. The fox was always right. He then turned around and went outside again with the dirty plates and utensils in his hands, to wash them thoroughly. But as he was washing the dishes, his ears picked up a soft noise that sounded like someone sobbing. And it seemed to come from inside Tighnari’s house.

Collei!

Cyno immediately dropped all of the dishes in the sink and hurried back into the hut. The sound of sobbing had become louder now that he was making his way to her bedroom, which confirmed that it was indeed Collei.

“Collei? Can I come in?” Cyno asked, standing still in front of the colorful curtains.

The teen had stopped sobbing for a moment to mumble a broken “yes”. So, Cyno didn’t hesitate any longer and moved the curtains aside. It revealed Collei’s cozy little bedroom, and a very upset Collei sobbing as she sat hunched over in her bed. She raised her head when the General entered her room, her sad swollen eyes meeting with Cyno’s ones.

“Collei-“ Cyno’s voice sounded warm. Collei wrapped her arms around her abdomen and turned her head away as she felt the mattress sink next to her. The next thing she felt was a hand, slightly crackling with electro energy, laying on her thigh. They sat silently for a couple of minutes until Collei started talking.

“I’m so tired and I’m in so much pain,” she managed to get out until she choked on a sob again and new tears rolled down her already tear-stained cheeks.

Cyno just hummed, he already knew what Collei was referring to. Her Eleazar. Tighnari had talked about it to him a couple of days prior, stating that he was worried about the teen because her health seemed to be worsening again.

“It hurts so much. I don’t know what I did to deserve this,” Collei continued, her voice hoarse from sobbing. She rolled up the sleeve of her right arm and a big concerning spot became visible.

“Archons…” Cyno gasped as he looked at the patch of darkened, dry, and scaly skin. In some places the skin was so dry that it had burst open, creating painfully deep cuts.

Collei was indeed in a terrible condition.

“It pulls and aches and hurts so bad, especially when it breaks like this! I have more spots like these on my legs and my belly. The other forest rangers forced me to sit down today, while they did all of the work. I really tried, but I’m in too much pain. I feel so useless sometimes!”

Cyno’s red eyes widened as he listened to Collei. So she had not been doing a lot of work that day… He glanced at her spots of Eleazar again. Even though he felt really bad for Collei, he understood that the other forest rangers forced her to take a rest at some point. The pain would’ve probably been even worse if she had participated in all of her regular activities.

Collei’s sobbing had become louder and louder. She had trouble breathing now and Cyno bit his lip, thinking of what he could do to comfort the distressed teenager.

“Collei,” he then asked, a little weary, “do you want a hug?”

He didn’t expect her to nod and fall into his arms. He comforted Collei with wide eyes, his hand finding its way to her shocking back, pulling her closer to him. He now felt Collei’s quickened heartbeat against his own skin. The two stayed in that position for a couple more minutes. Collei’s sobs and panicked breathing had slowly started to calm down and Cyno now felt her completely relaxed in his arms.

“It’s okay, I’m here,” it was weird for Cyno to hear it come out of his own mouth. He wasn’t the best at comforting people with words and it happened very often that he didn’t know what to say. But this… this felt natural. He also felt an unfamiliar warm feeling in his stomach. Maybe this was what Tighnari also felt when he was with Collei.

“Thank you,” Collei said after Cyno let her go.

The General Mahamatra smiled, laying his hand on her shoulder. “I’m going to finish doing the dishes, and after I’m done I’ll treat your wounds. Is that a good idea?”

Collei nodded, exhaling deeply as Cyno hummed. He stood up and left Collei’s room after one last squeeze on the shoulder his hand was laying on.

*:・゚✧ 🌿 ✧゚・:*

Cyno took his time washing the dishes and cleaning the kitchen. He figured it would give Collei a little more time to mentally prepare herself for the painful process of cleaning her wounds.

After he was done and put all of the now clean dishes back in the cabinets inside of Tighnari’s hut, he went to the other cabinet where the forest watcher had stored the medicines. He grabbed the ones Tighnari had shown him earlier that evening and a white cloth that was placed next to it. He also knew that he had to disinfect Collei’s wounds before he could treat them with the medicines.

When Cyno returned to Collei’s bedroom, he found her waiting for him on her bed. She looked at the bottles of ointments and the wet cloth in Cyno’s hands and swallowed.

“Do you… feel comfortable with me touching your skin?” Cyno asked as he read the text that was written on the lid of the first bottle. ‘Soothing paste, loosens the dry skin. Use a generous amount, must be applied before the numbing cream'. The handwriting was very neat, Cyno smiled a little as he imagined Tighnari sitting at his desk, writing the texts on the lids as he scooped the pastes and creams into the correct bottles. All to help Collei.

He was so caring.

“I… I do. You can apply the medicine,” Collei replied. Cyno nodded with a small smile, he then reached to the back of his belt to unbuckle something from it, his electro vision.

Cyno’s body often crackled with electro energy because of his vision, so it wasn’t uncommon that he accidentally gave people little electric shocks while he touched them. And he could only imagine how painful it must be to be hit with electro energy on your Eleazar wounds.

Collei had already taken off her pants. “These spots are the worst,” she explained, pointing at a couple of dry and open patches of skin on her legs.

“Noted,” Cyno murmured before he got to work. He first cleaned Collei’s wounds with the cloth to remove the dried blood and any possible germs. Collei squirmed and sobbed in pain, she had resorted to one of her stuffed animals and pressed it tightly against her chest.

“Are you alright? Do we need to pause?” Cyno asked as he discarded the wet cloth, wincing as he saw how the white cloth was now covered in bloodstains.

“It hurts,” Collei sobbed, pressing her face into the fuzzy belly of her stuffed animal. “But no, continue. I want it to be over with.”

“Okay. I’m sorry, Collei. I’ll try to do this as quickly as I can.”

Now that the wounds were completely clean, it was time for Tighnari’s herbal ointments. Cyno washed his hands and picked up a scoop of the paste with his index finger, smearing it onto Collei’s thick scaly skin as gently as he could. The girl’s sobs had quieted down a little now.

“The medicine always feels like a relief of my pain,” Collei spoke, her less shaky voice indicating that she felt a little more relieved. Cleaning the wounds was clearly the most painful part for her.

“Tighnari is amazing when it comes to these things,” Cyno smiled. He had covered all of Collei’s spots with the paste, and was now moving on to the second and last bottle. The dark purple color immediately got Cyno’s attention and he frowned his eyebrows as he read the text written on the lid.

‘Numbing cream made from wolfhook and onikabuto. Reliefs from pain. Wrap wounds with cotton wrapping after’, the lid said. As Cyno unscrewed the cap of the bottle and washed his hands again, he thought of how Tighnari got his hands on these ingredients. Weren’t these ingredients only found in Mondstadt and Inazuma?

Collei was still tightly hugging her stuffed animal as Cyno applied the second cream. “I’m quite sad it’s just a remedy. It will never cure my Eleazar,” she suddenly mumbled, getting Cyno’s attention.

“I know,” the General exhaled. “Have you… had appointments at Bimarstan lately?” He was very careful with his words and chose to use the name of the hospital in Sumeru city, avoiding the word ‘doctor’ altogether. Collei probably didn’t have a very pleasant memory connected to that word.

“Yes, it wasn’t very fun. Dad went with me,” it was now Collei who exhaled. “I’m still really terrified of medical procedures. I luckily have a female nurse who helps me, but she wanted to draw blood last time. It resulted in me having a panic attack because I was convinced she wanted to inject me with poison.”

Cyno wasn’t even sure what to reply to that.

“I’m sorry-“ Collei gasped, she had probably noticed Cyno’s concerned expression. “I-I was rambling. You shouldn’t have to listen to my sob stories.”

Something sparked in Cyno’s chest, and he had trouble suppressing another deep sigh that almost sounded like a growl.

“They are not sob stories.”

Collei now looked up, her deep purple eyes wide as she stared at Cyno. “You are free to tell me whatever you want, whatever you want to get off your chest. I do not mind.”

“Oh…” Collei exhaled. “I-I’m sometimes still scared that he will find me again. He knows what I look like, he knows everything about me. He has said things like that to me many times. That he would find me if I escaped. He told me that he wouldn't kill me, but that he would make me regret my decision of running away. I-I... I can only imagine what twisted things he planned on doing with me. W-what I went through was already traumatizing..."

Cyno swallowed and balled his hands into fists. He. The Doctor.

It had happened a couple of weeks prior but Cyno vividly remembered Alhaitham and Kaveh speaking of the Grand Sages of the Akademiya being in complete distress, running around to greet an ‘esteemed guest’. Cyno had found the entire situation suspicious from the moment Kaveh told him about it. And his suspicion only grew when Tighnari became even more protective of Collei a day later.

Since he was burning with questions, Cyno asked Tighnari about the situation. The fox then told him that he had run into The Doctor. He didn’t want to tell Cyno about it because of Collei. She was still so scared of him and Tighnari didn’t want her to even have to hear his name.

That had only fueled the fire within Cyno and at that moment, he promised himself and Tighnari that he would always be there for Collei.

“You’re safe here. Tigh- dad and I will do everything to protect you from any harm. And don’t you worry about that man, he won’t hurt you ever again.”

“Really?” Collei questioned, her voice unsure.

“I assure you that he will never lay one of his dirty fingers on you ever again. And when the final day of judgment comes…” Cyno's voice grew darker, and he hummed deep in his throat.

“I bet no heavenly deity will have mercy on his soul.”

Now it was Collei who didn’t know what to reply to that. But the teen soon let out a soft sob and quickly found the comforting arms of Cyno once again. “T-thank you,” she sobbed as she hid her face in Cyno’s neck. “Thank you for helping me.”

“No need to thank me, Collei,” Cyno replied, as a smile formed on his face.

*:・゚✧ 🌿 ✧゚・:*

Cyno looked out of the window one last time before he closed the bamboo blinds. The sun had long since disappeared into the horizon, setting the entirety of the Avidya Forest in a black but comfortable darkness. The hut was cozy and warm, as Tighnari had a dozen of lamps and candles all over his hut.

Collei was sitting at the dining table, bowed over a coloring book. Her eyebrows were pulled into a concentrated frown and her lips were pouted as she colored. Cyno’s eyes then went to the white wrapping around multiple parts of her hands, arms, abdomen, and legs. He had applied them after he had comforted Collei for the second time.

Cyno found himself biting the inside of his lip until it bled, as he thought of Collei’s wounds.

He was so worried about her. He had met multiple more people who also had Eleazar who were… well. Cyno didn't even want to think about it. He swallowed and stood up to get something to drink when the images of the people he had met filled his head. He genuinely, sincerely hoped that Collei would find a cure before her disease would get that bad.

“Collei? I’m going to make tea, do you also want a cup?” he asked when he passed the dining table. Collei looked up from her creative work and nodded with a smile.

“Yes, thank you Cyno. Dad also always makes me tea before I go to bed.”

The two drank a cup of herbal tea together and by the time their cups were empty, it was bedtime for Collei. Cyno followed her to her bedroom and watched Collei curl in between her many pillows and stuffed animals.

“Alright, time for a bedtime story. Which one is your favorite?” Cyno asked, letting his fingertips run over the many books that were standing in Collei’s bookcase. Bedtime stories were her favorite part of the day. It was something she so dearly missed when she was a scared and traumatized child, so it felt natural to her to find comfort in it now.

“I love the one about the Aranara and the big fluffy mushroom.” Cyno could hear the excitement in Collei’s voice as she spoke. He quickly found the book she was talking about.

“Adventures of the Aranara; The Big Fluffy Mushroom.”

“Yes, that’s the one!” Collei giggled, crawling under her blankets when Cyno sat down next to her on the bed, with the right book. He flipped through the first pages, it was very similar to the children’s books he would see at stalls in Sumeru City. This was his first time reading a children’s book out loud to someone, and the nerves he had felt earlier that evening started to come up again.

But Cyno immediately pushed them away. He could do this, he could totally do this.

“Alright,” he started, clearing his throat. “There once was a brave Aranara, who dreamed of exploring the big forest…”

He found himself being carried away by the story. It was about a certain Aranara who went on a journey in the rainforest and discovered a big mushroom. The metaphor of the story was clearly about letting go of all of your worries and feeling completely happy and carefree.

“…so when Aranara stood on the big fluffy mushroom, he jumped. The fluffy mushroom pushed him into the sky, he felt the fresh breeze around his body. He was floating now. The Arana only floated higher and higher. He floated so high that he was now above the clouds and he could touch them. The clouds were bright white and really, really fluffy. Just as fluffy as the mushroom that brought him to this beautiful place,” Cyno read. He used his voice to speak in different tones depending on the sentences.

“The Aranara flew further and couldn’t believe his eyes. Right in front of him, was the biggest cloud he had ever seen. It was soft as cotton candy and beautifully white. The Aranara couldn’t help it and fly towards the cloud. He landed on it, and-”

Oh. She was asleep.

Collei looked peaceful. Her lips curled into a warm smile, and her arms wrapped around her bunny stuffed animal. Cyno couldn’t help it to reach out his hand and caress her cheek carefully. The warm feeling he had felt earlier when he hugged Collei returned.

“Goodnight Collei, sweet dreams,” he whispered softly.

But the teen suddenly opened her sleepy eyes again, smiled at Cyno, and whispered something back that made Cyno’s heart drop.

“Goodnight, dad.”

*:・゚✧ 🌿 ✧゚・:*

Tighnari’s expedition had also ended and he couldn’t help but hurry a little when he started on the trip back home. He was still a little concerned about Cyno and Collei. Hopefully, everything went well.

After a long trek through the dark rainforest, Tighnari arrived back at Gandharva Ville. When he entered the hut he found, to his surprise, Cyno sitting at the dining table with his head in his hands. He looked… distraught. And very emotional.

“Cyno?” Tighnari asked, throwing his bag on the floor.

Cyno gasped when he heard Tighnari’s voice and looked up. The General’s face only made Tighnari’s growing concern worse. Cyno looked like he had been crying. His eyes were red and puffy, and his cheeks were flushed with a red color.

“Cyno?” Tighnari repeated. He didn’t hesitate when Cyno replied with a sob and ran over to his boyfriend. “Is everything okay? How is Collei? Did it not go well?”

“Nari-” Cyno started, reaching for Tighnari’s hands. He sobbed again. “C-Collei, she-”

“Did something bad happen?!”

“No, no, no sorry, sorry for worrying you, nothing bad happened, it’s just-” Cyno shook his head. He was obviously too distraught to talk, so Tighnari took him to the couch. He gave his boyfriend a tissue to blow his nose and wipe his tears, and give him the time to collect his thoughts.

“Nari… everything went so well!” Cyno then suddenly exclaimed before he burst into tears again. He was still holding Tighnari’s hands.

The fox frowned. “Is that why you’re crying?” he asked.

“Yes! Yes! Oh Archons Nari I’m just really happy. I’m just really happy Collei trusts me. She- she called me dad, I can’t believe it.”

Oh, that was it. Tighnari smiled fondly at his boyfriend. Cyno, the General Mahamatra, is known by many to be stoic and emotionless. Cyno, who actually had the softest heart for the people around him and was now crying because Collei viewed him as a father figure.

“That was all I’ve ever wished for. I wanted to be a father figure to Collei, someone she can look up to and learn from. I’ve felt it since the moment I helped her with her curse, and when I brought her to you. And I have to admit that I’ve always felt a tad bit jealous about how much Collei trusts you…” Cyno rambled on. Tighnari just chuckled as he heard him talk, and pulled him closer to hug him.

“Oh Cyno, the great and mighty General Mahamatra. I think no one would believe me if I told them you cried in my arms,” he chuckled, his voice soft and caring.

“Please, don’t tell anyone about this,” Cyno huffed, coming closer to Tighnari to kiss him.

“I promise you, I won’t. This will stay between us. Between us and… our daughter.”

Cyno’s eyes widened. “O-our d-daughter?”

“Yes? Since you say Collei also views you as a father figure, won’t that make her our daughter?” Tighnari replied, chuckling again as he saw Cyno’s surprised face.

Cyno didn’t even know what to reply anymore. He tried hiding his flushed cheeks but gave up when Tighnari held them with his hands and kissed him fondly. Yes, maybe this was what he had always dreamt of. Him, Tighnari, and Collei being a little cozy family. He closed his eyes as Tighnari kissed him deeper and ran his hands through Cyno’s bright white hair. He could definitely get used to this.

He could get used to being a father.
