Sweet Obsession
Receiving gifts every day without knowing who the recipient is could be terrifying for some people, but not for him. A few months after that fateful day he had begun to receive different gifts. They weren't exotic things but small details like notes, some incredible colored roses, a freshly prepared breakfast served at the kitchen table... for an ordinary person the fact that a stranger was able to enter their house without they becoming aware of it would result in a call to the police and a search for the culprit. They would probably also leave their home for a few days or even move to live somewhere else altogether. But he was not an ordinary person. No. He is a renowned detective who is not afraid of anything, besides that he already knows the author of such acts.
The first day he was greatly surprised to find his breakfast prepared, but then he saw a little note that said:
“I know you usually forget to eat breakfast properly
So, from now on I will make sure that you always do it.
Atte: The thief you adore the most (;”
A slight giggle escaped his lips as he understood the meaning of that. So, the young magician intended to win him over like that, huh? Well, he'll see if he succeeded.
That’s the thought he had, but the next day he found a blue rose on the seat that he used to use during his classes at the university, and he smiled again while blushing because several people stared at him curiously. Probably because of the gift and surely interested by his reaction to it too. It was pretty unusual for him to smile, more so because someone left him a gift on his table. That’s why they were whispering non-stop about it all day long.
Another small note came with that gift and it didn't take him long to feel a mix of giddiness and embarrassment upon reading what it said. His cheeks flushed a pretty red color too.
“I love the color of this rose because it reminds me
of the most alluring and beautiful eyes I have ever seen.”
These little details continued for weeks, until his friend Ran dragged him to the police station to report his “stalker”. When they asked him if it was true that someone was following him, he just shook his head with a lopsided smile on his lips and a slight blush on his cheeks.
His friend got angry and explained what was happening to the inspectors, getting a pleased smile from Inspector Sato as she congratulated him on having a suitor.
At that moment, the brunette who accompanied him realized the meaning of all those actions and the smiles and blushes of her childhood friend in reaction. She excitedly demanded that he tell her who it was, but he refused because they were still nothing and he didn't want to assume things, even if the magician was being pretty straightforward with his intentions and gestures of interest towards him.
She complained pouting, but she ended up giving up when she saw the excited look of her friend when, upon arriving at his home, he found another small envelope on the entry’s table next to a small box.
She did not continue to insist on the subject, but she did ask him to tell her about how things progressed between them. She was somehow glad for her best friend since she’d always worried about him. He was so into his cases that she thought he wouldn’t be romantically interested in no one, and seeing how wrong she was, made her feel calmer and more pleased.
What he received on that occasion turned out to be a crystal figure in the shape of a rose. It was such a marvelous job that the brown-haired man was amazed to see it. He placed it on the nightstand next to his bed, so he could see it whenever he went to sleep and when he got up in the mornings.
“Because beauty must be preserved so that others can enjoy it.”
After that present there was a week in which nothing arrived. His friend got angry and tried to cheer him up, but he knew very well why that happened.
Since the first time he went to a heist he asked his friend Saguru to let him know about the thief's movements. It is true that he could not go to any more of them after that day, but at least he knew that now the young magician was in Europe, France specifically, carrying out one of his famous heists.
He then appeased his friend by telling her that he was surely busy. She excitedly questioned him if he knew his schedule or something like that and he decided to just smile and start walking towards his next class.
The months passed calmly so much so that Christmas arrived. Particularly he did not love that holiday because he was always alone since his parents travelled constantly around the world.
Ran invited him to his house, but he felt really uncomfortable around her parents so he decided to decline the invitation for another year. Some of his other friends invited him too, but got the same response. The same Christmas Eve he received another note.
“For my beloved detective whose festivities he will spend without company…
Perhaps you would like to see a little magic show tonight?”
On the same piece of paper there was an address written after that message. He hesitated for a couple of seconds before steeling himself and after putting on the warmest coat he owned, he left his house and walked towards the place the note indicated. This one was not very far from his house, so he supposed that the magician chose it knowing how little the detective like the cold.
With his heart racing on his chest and pulse quickening, he climbed the stairs of the old building and upon reaching the roof he sat in a chair that had already been placed there.
He looked at his wristwatch and sighed when he noticed that he had arrived a couple of minutes earlier than indicated, but apparently it didn't matter much as the lights hanging all over the roof turned on, thus marking the beginning of the show.
That was one of the best memories he had to date. Just remembering it made him smile and an adorable blush cover his cheeks, neck and ears.
“A figure dressed in a black suit and electric blue shirt was visible through the smoke on the small stage.
With a lopsided smile on the man's lips was when he started with his magic show.
Pigeons flew suddenly, the lighting changed colors to the typical ones used for that specific date.
The slow and attractive music gave an intimate touch to the place.
He didn't know how much time he spent watching all of his movements with awe.
He was completely enthralled by the young man standing right in front of him.
He was so engrossed that by the time he realized the magician was kneeling on one leg, right in front of him, with one hand holding one of his delicately.
Then he left a light and sweet kiss on the back of his hand.
He felt his entire face heat up, leaving a clearly visible red hue on his cheeks while the other looked at him with warm eyes and a lovely smile.
-And this is the end of this private show. I hope you liked it Shin-chan. –Kaito said in a low, sweet and soft tone of voice before disappearing from the place in a puff of smoke.
The brunette blinked before chuckling amused at the dramatic exit of the magician.
Then he pouted a bit because he would have wanted to spend some more time with the other.
However, soon a lovely smile appeared on his face when he noticed a little package resting on top of the hand Kaito had hold previously.
He hummed and looked at the gift, curious about what it could be this time.
He giggled amused when he saw a laminated bookmark with a gorgeous red rose pressed inside.”
After that day, he still used that bookmark every time he read one of the many books in the huge library at his house.
Of course, he had also got a gift for the magician which he left in a small box on top of the desk in his bedroom. He wrote the magician’s name on a card and left it right next to the wrapped box and once he got back from the little private show that Kaito had made for him, it was gone which made him smile and hum in contentment.
He went to sleep and when he opened his eyes the next day, he let out a little giggle at seeing another note on his nightstand.
“Thank you, Shin-chan.
I never thought that a pair of gloves would make me so happy nwn
I hope to receive something even more special at the end of the year ;D ”
After remembering the last part of that particular note, another memory came to his mind right away.
It was during the New Year's Eve party that he attended with his friends. At first, he didn't really want to go, but he thought it would be good to get distracted and not think about some silly magician who gave him hope about seeing him that day. Which hadn't happened and because it was already past eleven in the night, he felt kind of disappointed and slightly hurt too. After all, he had waited for that day to come with his heart racing, a lot of ideas of what they could do once they finally met properly.
Since he was so lost in his thoughts about a stupid and liar magician, who he didn’t want to see at all in that moment, it took him by surprise when he heard the people around him start the countdown to welcome the new year. He looked around him one last time before sighing sadly and looking at the television once more.
The bell rang loudly, cheers were heard all around, people congratulating each other enthusiastically. However, his attention wasn’t on any of that. No, he was focused on the warm lips that were against his own. He squeaked in surprise and blushed when his eyes collided against bright indigo ones. His heart stopped for a couple of seconds at recognizing those gorgeous gems.
The magician chuckled before stealing another sweet and chaste kiss. Shinichi hummed and grabbed the other’s shirt with his hands, feeling the taller teen’s heart racing against them. Knowing that his own was doing exactly the same inside his own chest.
Once they separated again, Shinichi’s face had a lovely red hue in it while Kaito was smirking, eyes shining with love and amusement. The magician loved seeing his detective like that, he thought he was the cutest being in all of earth, more so when he was all flustered and shy.
-Happy new year, Shin-chan. –the magician murmured right into his ear making Shinichi squeak a bit.
Kaito chuckled at the cute reaction while the detective pouted at him and hit him slightly on the chest in retaliation which just caused the magician to let out another laugh.
-Happy New Year Kaito... –Shinichi whispered after a couple of seconds in silence.
Kaito hummed and tilted the other’s head a bit to capture his lips with his once more. This time, the kiss was more passionate than the previous one. They didn’t hold back in the slightest since the two of them had waited a long time to taste the other’s lips properly. That first contact they had months before on that rooftop under the moonlight and the one right when the new year started weren’t enough to really satisfy them.
So, they exchanged kiss after kiss, enjoying the other’s warm and gentle touches. Not caring at all about the people celebrating all around them because they had their own thing to celebrate. A more private one.
After that they began to formally date and they had already been dating for a little over a month, which brings us to the reason for the whole situation in which the detective was at that very moment.
Since the next day was Valentine's Day, he decided that he would give a handmade chocolate to his dear boyfriend who had an unhealthy obsession with that brown candy. The only problem is that he had no idea how to do it. Normally his boyfriend was the one who prepared the food since he was completely incompetent in that area.
He never imagined that the magician would move into his house the same day they started dating, but upon getting back from the party to his house he found that the other's things were already put in their respective places. He just shook his head in amusement and let him lead him up the stairs to the room they would share and where they would do many other things besides sleep. Especially that particular night. It was a special one after all.
Another blush flooded his cheeks and he shook his head to shake off those perverted thoughts. Another thing that he had noticed since he started dating the brown-haired man was that he was a pervert who loved to touch him all day, which he didn't dislike in the least. That led to the realization that he himself loved having his boyfriend on top of him, touching and kissing him whenever he had the chance to do so.
Although the magician was not only perverted but he was also sweet, affectionate, a bit mischievous and quite a prankster, because he loved to use his tricks on anyone he could, especially if that was their British friend. He didn’t know if he should feel amused or exasperated when he learned that tidbit of information.
Along with that, Kaito had also explained to him why he took on the mantle of Kaito Kid and he felt nothing but pride for his boyfriend. He may have chosen an unorthodox way of doing things, but he took the best option he had at hand back then and he promised to help him out whenever he could. As a detective he knew that sometimes things weren’t just black or just white, so he decided to support his lover as much as he could.
He sighed and refocused on the problem he had at hand right in that moment. What could he prepare for his boyfriend that wouldn't kill him? How the hell did he get something edible to come out?
Those two were his biggest concerns and since he had been dealing with this for more than two hours, he decided that he would do the most logical thing, that is, to call his childhood friend.
She was the best chef he knew personally and he was pretty sure that she wouldn't mind helping him out with that little surprise for his boyfriend.
He knew for a fact that, with how romantic and detailed his thief was, he would have prepared something for him too. Not that he hated the idea. If he was going to be completely honest, he liked that idea because that way he wouldn't be the only one to do something embarrassing. Or maybe he will still be the only feeling embarrassed, since his beloved magician was the only one who knew how to bring his shyer and most nervous side.
Which made things worse, is that Kaito actually loved to see that side of him and made sure to bring it out as much as possible. In his words, Shinichi was the cutest and most adorable when he blushed and stuttered nervously.
He sighed again and sent a simple message to his best friend:
“I need your help. It is urgent. Come as fast as you can.”
And it was less than ten minutes later that she was at his door trying to catch her breath, probably because she had run there. Panting, she looked at him questioningly and with a blush on his face, he explained the entire situation to her.
-Couldn't you have told me that by message? I thought someone had attacked you or something! –She yelled frustrated and somewhat angry with her friend.
-If that were to happen, I'd deal with it alone and, at most, I'd call Kaito to help me out. –he replied, almost offended that she doubted his self-defense capacity.
-You tend to get into trouble Shinichi! At least call the police if something bad happens! Plus, you almost always forget to take care of yourself when you focus too much on something! If it wasn't for Kaito-kun, surely you would have died of starvation after forgetting to eat because of a difficult case! –She scolded him; voice angry because that had happened more times than the detective would like to admit.
When he fully immerses himself in his cases, he tends to forget something as basic as eating or sleeping, so it is true that if it weren't for Kaito, who always drags him to the room to sleep or to the kitchen where food is served, it is pretty likely that by now he would have ended up in the hospital or died.
What was worse it’s that he barely remembered to go to the bathroom on those occasions and his diet was basically centered on coffee... liters and liters of coffee, which would help him stay awake despite the complaints of his body.
He shrugged and without saying anything, mostly because he didn’t know how to refute those words, he walked towards his kitchen which looked like a battlefield, as there was flour, eggs, sugar, milk and various utensils all over the place, including the floor and the sink. In addition to the fact that there was a substance in the pot that she could not identify because it seemed to be burned and inedible.
-What exactly were you trying to do? –she asked, looking around with a mix of confusion, amusement and bafflement since she couldn’t understand how someone could be such a disaster in the kitchen and still be able to survive on a daily basis.
-Well... The plan was to make cookies dipped in chocolate and gummies in the shape of a rose, but as you can see the result has been catastrophic. –he replied, his cheeks burning in embarrassment after showing how much of a mess he had made.
Saying that he was bad at cooking was nothing but a euphemism. His abilities in the cooking department were below zero. Seriously, there wasn’t a way for him to be any worse than he already was. At least, he should thank his lucky starts that he didn’t set the kitchen on fire, again. That would have ruined his plans for sure. And humiliate him for the rest of his life too.
-Mmm... for you to make such an effort to do something in which you are terrifyingly and irrevocably horrible at means that Kaito is really important to you. –she commented, looking at him with an affectionate smile.
-Of course, he is, you idiot.... –he murmured and turned his face away from her because it seemed to be on fire from how flushed his cheeks were.
She let out an amused giggle, but decided not to point out the obvious red hue that covered all of his cheeks, neck and ears.
Soon, they both began to clean up the mess that he did to the kitchen and then proceeded to do it all over again. It was difficult, but somehow, they managed for the sweets to have a decent shape and flavor.
They were surprised to notice that it was already dark outside by the time they finished putting everything in order. She gave her goodbyes to her friend, wishing him luck the next day and went back to her house.
The brown-haired man went back to the kitchen after seeing his friend off and sat down at the table there before staring at the box on top of the counter that had his gift inside. He bit his lower lip in a nervous manner as he really hoped the magician would like it, but he would only find out the next day.
He looked at his wristwatch and wondered if he should send his boyfriend a message asking if he wanted to have dinner out, since it was already late and, honestly, with how long it had taken him to leave the kitchen impeccably clean, he didn't want his boyfriend to stain something just because he had to do make dinner.
He jumped in his seat startled when he heard the entrance door open and close and the voice of his boyfriend announcing his arrival. He hurriedly hid the box in one of the cabinets and turned towards the door to see Kaito entering the kitchen with calm steps and a soft smile on his face.
-Shin-chan, do you want me to make dinner or should we go out somewhere? –Was the first thing he asked, as he approached him and chastely kissed his lips.
-Hmm. Just before you arrived, I thought about asking you if you wanted to go out to eat. –Shinichi admitted, chuckling amused after hearing his boyfriend’s words. It was funny that they both thought the same thing.
-Hmm... that's weird. Normally you say that going out is annoying and you prefer my home cooking. –Kaito commented as he looked at him with an eyebrow raised, indigo eyes shining with curiosity.
-What's wrong with going out once in a while? –he asked and looked away nervously.
It was at times like this that it was difficult for him to keep something hidden from his partner, because when he was interested in something, he didn’t calm down until he got a satisfactory answer. He internally cursed his boyfriend’s stubborn side.
-Oohh... Shin-chan, did you make something with chocolate? –The magician inquired, looking fixatedly at one point in the kitchen while sniffing the air like a cat.
The detective tensed slightly, he thanked his lucky stars that his boyfriend was focused on something else and didn't notice it. He followed his lover’s gaze towards the kitchen’s counter where some of the utensils that were used to melt some chocolate were resting, completely clean and waiting to be returned to their respective places.
-Idiot... do you think I would manage to do something like that without poisoning whoever tasted it? –He huffed, voice a mix of sarcastic and exasperation. – Obviously it was Ran's doing. She has a date with her boyfriend tomorrow and she asked me if she could prepare something here, because her father kept bothering her whenever she tried to do anything at her house. –he explained and internally thanked that it was not entirely a lie.
The brunette did really take the opportunity of being there to help him out to prepare something on her own for her boyfriend. She also did complain about her father’s behavior since he kept eating anything she had made.
-Yeah… you’re right on that. I’m still amazed that you managed to survive on your own for so long. More so, after seeing you blow up the microwave that one time you tried to make some eggs in it. –Kaito hummed, laughing after remembering that chaotic day.
He had just gotten back from a show in another city, only to see Shinichi running around the kitchen trying to save the microwave which was on fire for some reason. He hurried to help his boyfriend, worried that he might have gotten hurt, but after learning what had happened, he did feel a bit amused too.
However, after seeing the culinary abilities of his boyfriend, he came to the conclusion that he would never let him do anything in there anymore, (besides preparing his coffee which for some reason he did manage to do right) because he worried that Shinichi would really die if he ate something prepared by his own person.
-That's why I always bought something from a restaurant or Ran cooked something for me... even Professor Agasa invited me to eat at his house from time to time. –Shinichi muttered, glaring at him with an adorable pout. He already knew he was bad at cooking. He didn't need to be reminded of it every five minutes.
-You know that I don’t mean anything bad with that. I only care about you and your well-being. –Kaito told him while caressing one of his cheeks affectionately. Giving him a kiss on the forehead to make him stop pouting.
-Yeah, I know. –the detective whispered before smiling slightly at him and kissing him chastely on the lips. – Where do you want to go for dinner? –he asked after getting up from his chair and starting to walk towards the kitchen’s door.
Kaito hummed and followed him without hesitation.
-Mmm... any place where they don’t serve “that”. –the magician answered, frowning as an image of that cursed thing appeared on his mind, making him shiver slightly in disgust.
-I'll never understand your problem with fish. –Shinichi muttered, since from all the phobias his boyfriend could have, it had to be that one.
They got to the mansion’s entrance and he took his coat from the rack next to the door, put it on and opened the door to the street. Kaito followed his actions and soon they were both out of the house, walking hand in hand.
-Don't name that demonic being! –He snapped, horrified just hearing its name.
It wasn't his fault that he saw them as horrible and disgusting beings that he didn't want nor did he have the slightest intention of getting closer to him. He grimaced just by imagining himself in the same room that those slimy things.
-Sorry, sorry. –Shinichi chuckled a bit, kissing his lover on the cheek to calm him down when he saw the annoyed pout on his face.
He might not understand why he felt so disgusted by them, but he would never make fun of him for his fears. Maybe he would tease him a bit from time to time, or even mention them to threaten him a bit if Kaito got him really pissed, but he would never try to actually harm him. Phobias were difficult to control and even more so to overcome, and he didn’t want to hurt his boyfriend like that.
They walked through the quiet streets to one of their favorite pasta restaurants. The magician didn't hesitate in taking Shinichi’s hand in his, even weaving their fingers, throughout the journey and he didn't even let go when they reached the establishment. The brunette blushed, but he didn't try to push him away at all. He actually loved the feeling of that warm hand in his. It made him feel really soft inside.
They had dinner in peace, talking about everything and nothing at the same time. A few hours went by, both enjoying their alone time together as much as possible before they called it a night and they returned home. Once there, they went straight to their bedroom to sleep since it was already midnight and they both felt pretty tired after the long day they both had.

The next day he woke up to the delicious aroma of freshly brewed coffee. He stretched out on the bed like a cat and was about to get out of it when the door opened. Then his beloved magician came through it, carrying a tray of food in his hands.
-I'm glad you're awake, Shin-chan! –Kaito exclaimed with a sing-song voice, smiling brightly at the brunette.
-Good morning, Kai. What is all this? –He asked when he saw the large amount of food on the tray that his boyfriend left on the nightstand right on his side of the bed before he took the place next to him on the soft mattress.
-Good morning to you too. –the magician replied, stealing a quick kiss from those pink plush lips of his lover. – To answer your question… Well, since it's a special day I thought I'd make you a breakfast to match. –he explained and brought the things closer to his detective.
On the tray, there was everything from fruit and toast to pancakes with caramel and honey along with fresh juice as well as his elixir of life, coffee, with the perfect amount of sugar in it to boot. His boyfriend was really wonderful.
-Wow... thanks. –Shinichi let out an enamored sigh at seeing what his lover did for him, smiling cutely at him.
-None need. I love pampering you after all. –Kaito chuckled, adoring the happy shine on those lovely sapphires that his detective had.
Shinichi hummed before kissing his boyfriend on the lips quickly and was about to eat something when he remembered two very important things.
-Kai... do you have something planned for today? –he asked, looking at him with curiosity in his eyes.
-Mmm... Honestly, many things went through my head, but... I thought that the two of us spending the day quietly at home would be better. –Kaito admitted, grabbing a piece of fruit from a bowl and eating it. – Why? Do you want to go somewhere? –he inquired, raising an eyebrow at him, eyes shining with interest.
-Not really. I actually like the idea of staying here more. –Shinichi commented blushing a bit. – And well... do you think you can go fetch a small blue box that is in the kitchen cabinet next to the fridge? –he asked him.
The magician looked at him a bit lost at the sudden request, but he agreed nonetheless.
-Whatever you want, Shin. –he whispered, making the brunette flush even more and hit him slightly on the chest in retaliation.
Kaito chuckled and left the room, returning soon after with the small box in his hand. He sat back down next to his boyfriend who looked pretty nervous all of a sudden and handed him the object.
-So… what do you need it for? –the magician questioned after they stayed a couple of minutes in silence.
He was dying to know what was going on, because even if the detective had asked for the little object, he didn’t make any attempt to take it off his hand. The box was now resting in between them, looking as innocent as it could.
-Emm... why don't you open it? –Shinichi prompted him, pushing the box slightly towards him.
Increasingly confused, the magician decided to just comply with the order. He picked up the wrapped object once more and opened it with careful movements, not wanting to damage whatever was in it. He immediately marveled at the cookies and the little colored gummies. Loving the rose shape of them.
-Shin-chan... where did you get them? I didn't know gummies in this shape were sold. –Kaito exclaimed, delighted at the cute form.
When the detective didn’t answer, he looked his way, marveling at the red hue on his usually pale cheeks. He adored when his boyfriend was embarrassed and that look just made him even more adorable than before. He was playing with his fingers in a nervous manner and avoiding looking his way, which made him get an idea about what was going on.
He looked at the sweets in his hands and noticed the slightly deformed shape they had. It was pretty obvious then that they were handmade and not bought in a shop. He stared at his lover once more, eyes bright with joy and love.
-Don't tell me that you made this for me? –he asked in a soft tone of voice, completely in awe at thinking his detective did something so lovely just for him.
-I... yes. –Shinichi whispered, blushing more profusely now. – I asked Ran for help so they should be fine... although I wasn't lying when I said that she did something for her boyfriend because she took the opportunity while helping me to do it... also… HHMMP! –His blabbering was stopped abruptly when his mouth was taken in a passionate and rough kiss.
He squealed and moaned a bit, letting himself relax at the feeling of having his lover’s lips on his. Soon his lips were released and he sighed softly, looking at the taller teen with slightly glazed eyes. The magician caressed his cheek tenderly, making Shinichi hum cutely. It was adorable how calm and comfortable the detective looked right in that moment. Like a domesticated kitten.
-Shin-chan... I can't believe you worked so hard for me... That made me so happy that I couldn't help it... besides, you were muttering because of your nerves. –Kaito told him, voice a mix of amused and enamored.
The brown-haired male blushed deeply at the teasing words of his boyfriend and made a small pout that made him look even more lovely than before to the magician’s eyes at least.
-Shut up, idiot. –he grumbled, embarrassed before kissing the taller male before he could say anything else.
Kaito did chuckle a bit in between the kiss, but didn’t hesitate to reciprocate and even more, taking control of the kiss. When they separated to catch their breaths, Shinichi received the taller man's lustful gaze.
-You know... I'm glad I decided that we should stay at home today. –the magician commented in a whisper with a deep and hoarse voice that made a shiver of excitement run through the shorter's body.
Shinichi couldn't ask what he meant when he was suddenly pushed back, causing him to end up lying on the bed on his back with his lover moving to lay on top of him. He let out a surprised squeak before Kaito stole his lips once more in another passionate and wet exchange full of sinful promises.
True to his words, not only they didn't go out into the street at all that day... they didn’t even leave the bed for anything other than to use the restroom.
//////K/////S/////K/////S/////K/////S/////K/////S/////K/////S//////K///////S//////K/////S/////K//////S/////
Caressing the silky brown hair of his boyfriend, who was fast asleep with his head in the taller man's lap, he couldn’t help but smile brightly at remembering his childhood friend’s, Aoko, words.
The closer Valentine’s Day got, the more nervous he got since he didn’t know what to get as a gift for his lover. Finally, he decided to ask his best friend for some advice. The other brunette hummed and thought about it for a while before suggesting something small and private. She knew that the detective wasn’t a fan of big and flashy gestures. Liking more the little things that Kaito had given him in the past, like the bookmark he still used on a daily basis.
That's how he ended up proposing breakfast in bed and spending a quiet day at home, because lately he had many scheduled magic shows, not Kaito Kid heists but performances by Kuroba Kaito, and he hadn't been able to spend that much quality time with his blue-eyed adoration.
The truth is that he never imagined that Shinichi would have made something for him, much less anything handmade and that ended up being edible too. However, not only did he make an effort to make something that he knew Kaito liked, such as his obsession with anything sweet but chocolate being at the top of the list, but the rose-shaped gummies were a reminder of all the gifts the magician had given him before they started dating.
His smile widened when he noticed how his beloved detective buried his face even more against his stomach, letting out cute and breathless snorts. He chuckled at how adorable his boyfriend was and caressing the silky strands of brown hair with practice and tender movements, he kept eating his boyfriend's delicious cookies while looking outside the window. His gaze going up to stare at the moon that rose proudly in the sky, illuminating with its tender light their figures as if embracing them.
He hummed and closed his eyes briefly, letting the calm atmosphere surround him completely. Then he looked at his lover once more with warm eyes before accommodating himself better on the bed. Once he had his boyfriend inside his arms, both their bodies covered by the soft sheets, then he let himself go towards the sleeping realm. Knowing that his precious lover was already there, waiting for him.
This was definitely the best Valentine’s Day he had ever had, that’s for sure. And he hoped to have many more like this one for as long as he lived.
…… The End ……
