“Intelligence, huh.” Janeway had said, over comms one day.
“You know she stalked me, right?”
Seven did know. And maybe it was the rebel inside of her that found an ironic amusement in dating Raffi.
“I always thought you were attracted to men,” Janeway continued.
Seven shrugged. “You never asked.”
Hurt that flashes across the admiral’s eyes. “You haven’t been near any space crystals that makes you inexplicably gay lately?” It comes as a joke, but Seven knows the face of Janeway’s regret when she sees it.
If only she had asked back then.
Now, Seven knows who she wants.
