Janeway waited for Seven to read the short poem, but after staring at the page for a moment, Seven looked up at her. ‘I cannot.’ She stood up and handed the book back.
‘You… cannot? You can’t borrow the book?’
Seven hesitated again. ‘Indeed. Forgive me, Captain. I have duties I must attend to.’
