Paz Vizsla and the No Good Awful Day!

Summary:

From the moment, Paz woke up nothing went right. First, his son ate all his POG soup, and then it got much worse. Din Djarin returned and now he is back with the Watch and Bo-Katan has joined as well. But of course Din Djarin and Bo-Katan somehow find a way to make things even worse for him.

This is NOT the Way.

Notes:

I love how much of a hater Paz seems to be when it comes to Din. I find it so funny. I hope he continues to be a hater in the next episode.

Work Text:

The day had started off poorly enough from the beginning. Paz’s son might have taken the Creed, but that didn’t stop him from doing normal preteen boy things. Including somehow eating all the Pog Soup that Paz had been saving for himself as well as a bunch of the other food.

The kid was gone too, probably to train, but that hadn’t stopped him from making their quarters look like a mess before. It looked like it had been destroyed by the Empire despite that it had been fine before.

That child…

Paz did manage to find some food but it was rations and they were older than recommended. Paz was starving though so he ate it anyway.

Hopefully he wouldn’t regret that.

It didn’t take long for the day to get worse.

Much worse.

Paz had been enjoying Din Djarin being gone. He was an apostate who didn’t deserve to have the Darksaber. He wasn’t a Vizsla or anyone of importance but he still had it. Paz hoped he never saw that dirty traitor again.

But of course, he showed up in his stupid ship that made it appear like he was having a mid-life crisis. Paz wished he had a ship like that.

But his was nothing like that. He couldn’t even say it was because he was a dad and Djarin wasn’t because Djarin had a foundling now.

It got even worse though because Djarin wasn’t alone. This couldn’t seriously be happening. The last thing Paz wanted to deal with was not just Djarin but also a friend of his. She would probably be just as annoying as him.

But when he saw her armor, he knew that it might even be worse than he imagined. She was a Nite Owl. Just great. The Nite Owls had been in Death Watch many years ago, back when Paz’s father himself had been in charge.

Then it got even worse when she introduced herself. She wasn’t just a Nite Owl. She was Bo-Katan herself. This just couldn’t be happening. He looked at her and then Din Djarin. He had to have lost it.

That was assuming he ever had it. There was something wrong with Din Djarin. Paz hadn’t thought that he even liked Bo-Katan but he certainly seemed to now. The two of them and Grogu even looked like something of a family at first glance.

It was disgusting.

At least the Armorer would send them away. There was no way that Din Djarin had actually managed to bathe in the Living Waters. They had been destroyed in the Purge. He would talk to her and then he would leave.

Hopefully he would never come back.

But nothing went how it was supposed to be. Apparently, Din HAD gone to the Living Waters and he had been purified. He still didn’t deserve to be one of them. He had taken off his helmet. He didn’t deserve to have forgiveness.

And even if he was forgiven, it didn’t mean that he needed to be near them.

But things got even worse because for some reason the Armorer said that Bo-Katan had been cleansed too. It didn’t even matter that Bo-Katan said that she didn’t walk the Path they did. The Armorer didn’t even seem to care! Paz could tell even though Bo-Katan was wearing her helmet on that she didn’t want this, but she didn’t decline either.

Now he was going to be stuck being not just around but she would be as well. Paz didn’t want to be around Bo-Katan Kryze.

Wasn’t it bad enough that Din Djarin had the Darksaber when it should be with the Vizslas like it had historically? No, he had to make it even worse. Now he had to come back and bring kriffing Bo-Katan with him who not only hadn’t followed the Way, despite what the Armorer said, but had conflict with the Vizslas.

This was all Din Djarin’s fault. He ruined everything.

And Paz wasn’t just going to sit back and welcome Din Djarin and Bo-Katan Kryze here. No, he knew that the two of them were up to no good. Maybe they even had some sinister plans. Paz knew that he couldn’t trust them.

And so when he had the chance, he went to the Armorer. She was working on some armor for one of the foundlings, but nodded when he came in.

“Allowing Djarin and Kryze here is a mistake,” Paz said. “She has never believed in the Way and he’ll probably stray again.”

The Armorer sighed and looked at him.

“She has gone to the Living Waters and—“ she tried to say but he didn’t give her a chance to finish because this could just not be happening. Paz didn’t care what she said, this wasn’t the Way. They weren’t supposed to be here.

“She’s a Kryze!” Paz exclaimed. “And Din Djarin doesn’t belong here either!”

She stared at him. It felt like she was looking into his soul and he wished she would just say something. Luckily, she finally did.

“If they will walk the Path then they can stay. Both of them can stay,” The Armorer said.

Paz couldn’t stand this. “This isn’t right. I thought you hated Bo-Katan!”

“I’m willing for anyone to walk down the Path and that includes Bo-Katan. Also, we might not agree all the same but if she can follow the Way then she can stay.”

The Armorer said more things but Paz was too angry to pay too much attention.

Paz knew that Kryze and Djarin would break the rules. He knew that they weren’t going to follow the Way. They were both just those kind of people. Paz had heard all about Kryze from his father when he had been alive. That woman… or girl as she was then... Paz didn’t want to think about it, but she was no good. And Paz didn’t want her around after the… drama she had with his family. As for Djarin, Paz just knew that he didn’t like him.

The two of them ended up walking away to talk after a few hours of them being here. They even left Grogu with someone. Paz knew that he would have to follow them. They were probably up to no good and would maybe even be taking off their helmets.

At first the two of them were just walking by each other. Paz thought too close personally. Maybe they were screwing each other. Paz didn’t know how Djarin would get a princess but he always got things that he didn’t deserve like the Darksaber. Paz had heard about Kryze sulking at her castle so she was probably depressed and had lowered her standards.

They must really be lower if she would be with Djarin. Even being friends with him showed low standards.

Not that she was some prize. She didn’t even have that much of a figure. Yes, she had a decent ass but that was all. She was still a traitor.

Pre Vizsla and Din Djarin were both idiots.

It was unfair that Din and Bo-Katan had both seen each other’s faces. Paz wished that he and his partners could. But he followed the Way unlike some people who just were forgiven for their transgressions.

And Paz would catch Bo-Katan and Din breaking the rules. He would catch them and then he would turn them into the Armorer.

Then they would go away and never return.

The Armorer might feel sorry for Bo-Katan since she had lost her home and family and everything but Paz didn’t care. She had made her choices. And he just didn’t like Din. He had also made his choice when he had removed his helmet.

Plus, it was just wrong on many levels that he had the Darksaber.

Bo-Katan and Din eventually sat by a lake. At one point, Bo-Katan looked back and Paz worried she might have seen him. She must not have though because she didn’t call back to him. She leaned close to Din as if she was whispering in his ear. He wondered what traitorous words she was saying.

Din was weak already and Kryze would make him even weaker. Paz knew about her and the things that she caused. Maybe things would have gone different for his father if Bo-Katan hadn’t been around. Kryzes were toxic and Bo-Katan was no different.

Din paused but then nodded in a small way. Bo-Katan actually laughed as if Din had told her something funny. That was of course impossible because Din Djarin wasn’t funny. He was just an asshole who stole everything from Clan Vizsla.

Din then touched the side of Bo-Katan’s helmet almost as if he was stroking her face. This was disgusting and wrong in so many ways.

But then it got much worse.

Bo actually climbed onto Din’s lap and straddled him. After she wrapped her arms around him and the two of them pressed their helmets together. Paz could imagine that they wished that they could kiss. She somehow leaned even closer and Paz didn’t think he could take this any longer. He sure the kriff wasn’t going to stay if they started screwing.

“Enjoying the show, Vizsla?” Bo-Katan asked as she adjusted herself, so she wasn’t straddling Din but was still on his lap.

Din actually had his arm around her waist too and he hadn’t moved it.

It was kriffing wrong.

“You two are disgusting,” Paz said. “I see you have lowered your standards if you’re engaging in relations with Djarin.”

Bo-Katan scowled. “It’s none of your business what Din and I do, and even if I was “engaging in relations with him” it would be a huge step up from…” Bo-Katan didn’t finish what she was saying but Paz knew what she was talking about. He doubted Din did because Din was frankly stupid. “Din is at least a decent man.”

Paz scowled. “The two of you won’t be here long.”

“That’s not true,” Din said. “I believe in the Way, and Bo-Katan can be here as long as she wants.”

Bo-Katan looked at Din. She was still on his kriffing lap and he still had his arm around her too. They didn’t even seem uncomfortable about it. It was as if they were meant to be there. Meant to be doing that.

It was disgusting.

“You both are apostates and—”

“Din is a true believer,” Bo-Katan said. “And a better person than anyone in your clan.”

Paz glared at her, not that she could see because of the helmets. Stars, he couldn’t stand her or Djarin. They probably were fucking. They were both horrible heathens and so they were probably perfect for each other.

“I look forward to both of you being exiled,” Paz said.

And he had to believe that would be the case. He had to. After all they weren’t true believers so they would have to be exiled.

Wasn’t that the Way?

Things got worse when he found out Bo-Katan and Din Djarin were in the room next to him. How the kriff was that even possible? Apparently there had only been one room left and so they were placed together. Horrible. Really horrible.

But Paz didn’t even have time to worry about that because that was when his stomach really started hurting. And then the nausea happened. It was so intense and his stomach… Stars, how could anything hurt this much? Was he dying?

It was that kriffing thing he ate earlier. Stars…

Why was his life like this when he was just following the Way? He shouldn’t be this sick.

But he couldn’t think too much about it when he threw up. He felt like he was dying. He almost wanted to die.

Din didn’t know why he and Bo-Katan had been placed in the same room. It was a small room with not much in it. Of course, there was only one bed too. He looked at her and she looked back at him.

“I’ll sleep on the couch later tonight,” Din said. It wasn’t very big, but he would make it work.

Bo stared back and he wasn’t sure what she would say.

“I suppose we could share a bed, but you… you can’t touch me, especially when I’m sleeping. If you do, I’ll make you regret it.”

Din looked at her. It sometimes felt there was so much that he didn’t know about her. That she had so much pain and hurt that she kept hidden.

“I wouldn’t touch anyone who didn’t want it,” Din said. “I wouldn’t do that, Bo.”

She should know that about him. He wasn’t that kind of person. It hurt that she didn’t realize that. He liked her. He really did. She was amazing. He thought that she knew him better than that. He considered her a friend.

“I… I know,” Bo said as she sat on the side of the bed and looked down at the floor. “It’s just…”

He wondered if she had been hurt before. He knew that she had gone through a lot.

“I won’t do anything,” Din said. He wouldn’t without her permission, even though he did like her. She was special. He wanted more. When she had saved him from that creature in the mines… he had never seen something hotter than that. “Also you’d kill me anything if I tried anything without you wanting it.”

She smirked. “Oh, I would, but I’d rather not kill you.”

Din smiled, not that she could see. “You don’t need to.”

“You know your friend Paz is something else,” Bo said as she stood up and then looked at Din.

“He’s not my friend,” Din said. They had never really been, but it had gotten much worse since he had gotten the Darksaber. Paz despised him even more now.

“Yes, but we can aggravate him if you want,” Bo said. A smile was in her voice.

Din knew that he should say no and yet…

“What are you thinking of?” Din asked.

“We could make him think we’re having sex,” Bo said. “It would drive him crazy since he’s so threatened by us.”

By both of them? Bo was right. Paz was threatened by Bo too even though Din didn’t understand why. It seemed like he didn’t understand a lot.

Din stared at her.

“He deserves it,” Bo said. “And come on. It’ll be fun to make him regret how he has been treating us, especially you. It sounds like he’s been an asshole to you for awhile.”

Din stared at her but then he found himself nodding. They could do this while Grogu was still playing with the other foundlings.

Paz did deserve it after all.

And he wanted to have fun with Bo, even if it was just something like this.
