Leo makes his mad dash to the key the kraang brothers attempt to grab him! Kraang prime grabs his leg and pulls him to the ground with a loud thud. Leo groans softly, he crawls the last second and grabs the key! Kraang prime pulls him back! The portal explodes in a concrete-smashing purple and white light.
Looking into his hands Leo sees the key. “HAHA!” he shouts before he sees the kraang looking at him with rage and maybe even hunger. His face falls.
The large kraang launches himself into the air, one of his tentacles pointed and sharp. Leo’s life flashes before his eyes before a loud squelch and grunt reaches his ears. Leo’s ears are ringing and his eyes are blurry. But he can see his brother there. Hunched over him in a protective stance. The pointy tentacle piercing him through his shell and plastron. Blood pours out of the wound in a sickening ooze. Right in the middle of the chest. Leo’s face is one of shock and horror and fear. “Raph?” Leo’s voice is soft and terrified.
In his last breath raph brings up his inactive donnie pod and presses it into Leo’s plastron, the pod leaps into action! Encasing leo in a large red box. Leo pounds on the glass shouting Raphs name. It falls on deaf ears. As Leo and the key shoot away he sees his might big brother fall limply to the ground.
Leo shouts and pounds on the glass wishing to be released from the prison of titanium and red. His breath quickens. “Fuck!” Leo screams over and over again. Thick hot tears steam down his face. His eyes and throat burned. His brother, his only older brother just died. There’s no way he survived that, not without his ninpō. It’s all his fault. If he had let raph grab the key in the first place this never would have happened. Raph would be breathing, alive . Panic and sadness tore through him with claws of fire.
After an agonizing 5 minuets, everyone returns home. As they are released with a hard push from the pods the computer speaks “congrats on surviving fam.” An orange banner with the words “YOU SURVIVED!” stretched across it in yellow bubble letters and confetti rained down from hidden cannons.
The rest of the Hamato Clan made it. Everyone but Raph. Everyone else gets to live. Everyone but raph. Leo arrives a couple minutes later. Blood lust and tears in his eyes. He’s a mess. The world was muffled Leo’s eyes look around but not seeing. Leo growls a deep instinctual growl right at Casey. Donnie and Mikey launch forward restrain him knowing that if Leo dares to reach his target there won’t be a whole thing to look at. “DID YOU KNOW THIS WOULD HAPPEN? WHY DIDNT YOU TELL ME?” Leo’s voices shouted above the rest. Even with the restraining leo moves almost flawlessly towards Casey. “What are you talking about?” Casey was scared “Easy! Leo, what’s going on? Where’s raph?” Mikey attempts to ask but he’s ignored donnie tries too “Leo, where’s raph?” They too are ignored. “Leo what happened to raph?” Donnie tried again fear drips into his mostly monotone voice. They drop leo. He stretches out to grab Casey’s face and make him wish he never came back. “Leonardo?” Splinters voice soft and soothing breaks leo out of his murder trance. Leo tries not to cry. “They… They got him.” Leos voice wavers and cracks. “You left raph?” April says incredulously leo turns around “he left himself. He used his pod to save me,” Leo starts to open his pouch “All because I went after this stupid thing!” Leo thrusts the key into Casey’s hands “You got it! Nice!” Casey says with happiness and a big smile on his face. Does he not even care what happened? Did he know raph would die and he doesn’t care? “”Nice”? They killed raph!” Leo’s face falls and that look returned in his eyes. “He’s from the future! He knew this would happen!” Casey looked down at the floor, he did know but how could he tell them that their oldest brother, the one they looked up to could die. He hoped that that would change. But it didn’t. It happened in his reality and he wished it would change. But it didn’t. “What happened to Raph did happen in my time, but we did change something! You got the key. That means there’s still a chance to stop them!” Casey sounded hopeful “No, we need to get raph. Come on.” Leo pulled out his katanas and attempted to open a portal but whatever the kraang did stole their ninpō and without raph they would never get it back.
