Edgeworth was not an ordinary child. He looked up to his father, Gregory Edgeworth who was the greatest defense attorney he knew (he did not know any others to be frank.) One day Gregory walked up to him

"Son," he said. "I am about to battle with Manfred von Karma to decide the future of Japanifornia."

"You're going to defeat Mr. von Karma, father? That's amazing! I can't wait to watch," Miles said, eyes shining.
Gregory patted his son's head, and they went off to dinner.
But something began to tickle the back of Miles' mind.

He couldn't shake the feeling that something bad would happen to his father if he went to that trial.
The next day on the way to the courthouse Miles grabbed his dad's sleeve and pulled him down towards him.
"Whats wrong Miles?" Gregory asked.
"Father, I think something is going to happen today. I dont like Mr. von Karma..."
"Don't worry Miles, it'll be fine Von Karm

Gregory presented Miles Edgeworth with the beehive that was full of bees. Miles was really confused but because he was so scared of Von Karma, he took the bees with a sense of purpose, and he held the hive the hive that had bees in it in his left hand while he held his father's hand with his right hand.
"Why dont the bees sting me though dad?"
"Oh thats easy," Gregory said. "It's because the bees are allergic to the Numptzy

"Father, what is the Numtzy?" young Miles asked.
Gregory just looked at him and said "I will tell you when you are older."
Now this strange word is buzzing around Miles's mind. What is numtzy? Does it have something to do with bees? Why does he have it? Is this his lawyer superpower? Who knows.

That night, Miles Edgeworth decided to find out what the Numtzy was, no matter what. He put a pillow under his blanket and snook out of his room, making his way to his father's library. He was sure that the Nuntzy had to be in there somewhere, how else would Gregory have all his knowledge ab

Searching high and low, Miles carefully scanned every nook and corner of his father's library. He would find the Numtzy.
He had almost given up hope on finding it, when he discovered a loose floorboard. Slowly he pulled it up, and there it was, the Numtzy in all its glory!
The door slammed open.
"Miles, I told you that I hid it for a reason. You should have left it be," exclaimed Gregory's ghost.
"Dad?"

The Numtzy started vibriting. What was happening? Was it goining to explode? Miles had to think quick.
"Throw it out the window, son!" Gregory's ghost yelled.
"But but the forbidden knowledge!" cried out Miles. "How will I experince the Numtzy?"
"YOU CAN ASK PHOENIX LATER FOR THAT, IT WILL BLOW UP ANY SECOND."
Miles threw the book out the windown

but it was too late and exploded just as it was about to fly out of the window. The blast took everything down around them. Gregory watched Miles drop to the ground and believed it was over for him. But he stood up again, lifting himself up on the rubble. His body was glowing. He has achieved the ultimate numtzy. He stretched out his hand towards Gregory, who seemed to lose control over his body. Miles gained new powers. The powers of necromancy. "Gregory..." he mumbled and threw him on the ground.
