Eijiro could say a lot of things about being wrapped up with his best friend on the common room couch. He could say it's every one of his dreams come true. He could say having Bakugo wrapped around him, his face buried in his neck, feels like heaven and more. He could freak out about his lips being so close to kiss. But. Crap, he is so uncomfortable! He's practically hanging off the sofa, his whole body feels bigger than the whole thing. His back is not even on the cushions, his legs dangling off the arm rest and stretched all weird.
Bakugo, on the other hand, looked like he was sleeping on a cloud. He was snoring even! Maybe because he's taking up most of the cushions, his legs wrapped around his waist, his arms around his shoulders. He looked so peaceful. So cute. How was Eijiro supposed to wake him up?
He felt his cheeks heat when he realized there was a blanket draped over them. He knew it was Denki’s--going by the Pikachu print.
Bakugo was going to have a fit when he woke up, knowing they both fell asleep here when he was so against coming to movie night in the first place. Though he thought it was so manly the way he had demanded the whole sofa for them, only letting Denki have a corner since he was previously taking up the whole thing.
But, despite them having the whole sofa, Bakugo had stayed by his side the whole night. He didn't even mind when he totally played it cool and wrapped an arm around his shoulder after reaching for the popcorn. Bakugo had even fed him some popcorn after complaining that he was moving around too much.
Still, he felt bad that he kinda kept Bakugo up past his super nerdy--but cute-- designated bedtime. He doesn't know how he's gonna wake him up. He'd probably get an explosion to the face and he really didn't feel up to dealing with that right now.
With a quiet touch, he tried his best to comb the hair off of Bakugo's forehead, tapping the skin there lightly.
“Hey. Bakugo.” He whispered.
He let his finger roam above the furrow in his brow, still present even in sleep, smoothing it out and making his nose twitch. God, Bakugo was going to kill him today. Either from being woken up or by how adorable he was all cozy and asleep.
He allowed himself to be selfish and gave him a tap on his nose, trying not to squeal when--
Eijiro felt a sting of pain run up his back and he was pushed to the ground, his butt slamming on the carpet. Granted, he was halfway off anyway, but the shock of it made small tears spring in his eyes as he reached around to rub over his tailbone.
“What the fuck? Where am I?”
“Ouch, man!” He said back.
Bakugo blinked up at him sleepily, confusion apparent on his face as he registered the sight of him on the floor.
“What the hell? Why are you on the floor?”
“You pushed me off! My butt hurts now!”
“Pushed you off where?”
“The sofa!” He felt his throat grow tight from the sting of the pain. Luckily he hadn't hit his head or he'd probably be crying.
“We were…both asleep on it?”
“Yeah!” He shouted, whimpering as he adjusted himself to fully sit up.
“Stop whining like a baby. Why didn't you wake me up, moron?”
“And deal with you in a bad mood?”
Bakugo scoffed, “You're the one yelling at me right now, Kirishima.”
Eijiro deflated. He was right. He was just sleepy and grumpy and in pain and it definitely wasn't Bakugo’s fault for pushing him off the small sofa.
“I'm sorry. I'm just grumpy I guess.”
“It's whatever. Sorry for pushing you off.”
He watched as Bakugo got up, taking his time to fold the blanket and place it on the armrest. And he felt his heart flip when Bakugo offered his hand to him.
They made their way up to the elevator and to their dorms quietly, both of them yawning and half asleep.
Bakugo paused by his door as they got there, grabbing his wrist before he could walk to his own.
“Is your butt okay?”
Eijiro let out a small chuckle, Bakugo must be more than half asleep at this point. “Yeah it's okay. Sorry for yelling at you, man.”
Bakugo smiled just a little, “Good.”
The grip on his wrist loosened. And yup. He was gonna die. And he was sure he was already because Bakugo’s fingers shly intertwining with his felt more than heaven.
“Do you maybe wanna…” Bakugo’s face was bright red, and he avoided his gaze as he nodded his head towards his door.
“Yeah?”
“You don't have to.” Bakugo mumbled.
“I'd love to!” He grinned.
Bakugo had a hint of a smile as he led him into his dorm, not letting go until he laid down to settle under the covers.
He wasn't sure what he was supposed to do, considering Bakugo had just invited him to sleep over and falling asleep like that was a complete accident.
“Are you just gonna fucking stand there or lay down?”
“Y-yeah! Okay!” He stuttered, getting into the bed as fast as he could.
Eijiro tried to keep his arms to himself but he couldn't help it. As soon as he was under the covers, he invited Bakugo in. And, to his surprise, Bakugo immediately rolled into his embrace.
He fixed the covers over them, holding his best friend tighter.
“You comfy?” Bakugo whispered, turning to face him.
“Perfect.”
“Weirdo.”
He was about to say something back, but his words stayed stuck in his throat as Bakugo put his legs in between his, his hands finding the small of his back.
“Night, ‘Shima.”
Eijiro swallowed, “Goodnight, man.”
Eijiro had to laugh when he woke up with Bakugo on top of him, his leg hooked over his hip, his arms around his torso. He decided to be selfish again as he placed the lightest kiss on the top of his head, deciding he'd let Bakugo wake him up this time.
