Summary
Children, sometimes, are a means to an end. Reinhard hates to be anything but kind, but this is what being a Sword Saint means. They will be born to pass on that blessing to them or their own children. They will be born, Reinhard will shake off the worry that he will be like his father and his father’s father, and they will serve their family as Reinhard has. Children are meant for this, no matter how nicely Reinhard tries to treat his own children in the future. He can never run from this. This is love, and perhaps one can be loved back if they do enough for another.
Or: five moments throughout Reinhard’s life where he loves his father, and one moment where his father absolutely loves him back. (Right?)
