Chapter Text
Ever since the Hazel monocle fiasco and the Forsaken Land of the Gods kidnapping incident, it was safe to say that Klein had managed to develop a trauma from monocles.
Every single time he saw a singular circular lens on someone's face or hanging from their lapels, Klein would unconsciously flinch. He couldn't help but fear that the person would turn around with a smile on their face before promptly placing the monocle on their right eye.
Call him cowardly, but he always walked the other way whenever he saw a person carrying a monocle with them. He wasn't taking any chances even if he knew his actions would be fruitless considering how Amon could simply appear by his side if "He" wished to do so. However, for the sake of his own mental health, he did whatever made him feel secure. In this case, it was steering clear from monocle-wearing individuals!
If it were any indication, any person who wore monocles regardless of their relation with "Him" was bound to be a shifty person in the first place.
Klein inwardly lampooned. Am I this afraid that I've developed a bias against people who wear monocles!? I know it isn't their fault that they have trouble in one eye, but I couldn't help but feel uneasy around them. Sorry monocle-wearing people, but bear with my unfair judgement for the sake of my safety!
Klein sighed. He had to deal with this phobia of monocles. He was bound to cross roads with "Him" again. It's no good for him to be afraid when facing Amon.
Perhaps I need another consultation with Miss Justice. I definitely need to get rid of this annoying fear.

Klein was seated once again on his high back chair in the Sefirah Castle. It was Monday and time for the weekly Tarot Club gatherings. He had come up to the Sefirah Castle earlier than usual to ‘summon’ Mr. World and seat him in his usual place.
After Mr. World sat down, he promptly pulled the remaining Tarot Club members into the mysterious grey fog.
"Good morning Mr. Fool~!" Miss Justice's usual greeting reached his ears and he smiled.
The rest of the Tarot members gave similar greetings after her before sitting down. He gave a slight nod and the gathering began.
Leonard, or rather, Mr. Star, was the first to speak up. As Mr. World, he looked at Leonard to listen to his words. But before Leonard could finish, he immediately pulled out Death Knell and pointed it at Leonard.
Leonard looked at Mr. World in shock. So did everyone else.
W-why is Mr. World pointing a gun at Mr. Star!? N-no… is that fear I sense? Why would Mr. World be afraid of Mr. Star!? I thought they were friendly with each other!
Audrey froze before looking at both parties in a panic.
Alger nervously looked at Mr. Fool who hadn't said a word about the situation at all.
How could Mr. World do this in Mr. Fool's domain!? Mr. Fool hasn't said anything yet. Does that mean "He" tacitly allowed such behaviour!? Is this the privilege of a blessed!?
Alger looked at Mr. World cautiously, not daring to speak in fear of escalating the situation.
Derrick only looked at Mr. World in disbelief. He couldn't believe that the kind Mr. World would point at any of the Tarot members!
Fors, suffice to say, was shaking in her seat. She didn't dare to look at Mr. World in fear that he would spontaneously point the gun her way.
Everyone else just looked at Mr. World in shock.
Leonard, of course, was scared out of his wits. He almost wanted to shout out Klein's name out loud but refrained from doing so. He didn't want to risk Klein actually pulling the trigger!
Klein, meanwhile, was only cursing in his head.
Fuck! Fuck!
Why is Leonard wearing a monocle!?
There, lying on Leonard's right eye, was a singular circular lens – a monocle.
