Chapter Text
Trys was a vampyre, no, not the creepy 'Let me stalk you down this creepy alley-way' but definitely the eccentric artist-type that slept during the day and was up and about all times of the night. She honestly couldn't stand sunlight, not even when she had been human, the rays of the sun nearly burning her eyes back then. Honestly, life as a vampire suited Trys much more than life as a human did.
She wasn't the most friendly person, distant but polite, and she even had morals. She would never drink the blood of a child, or stupid teens, no one who was simply trying to get through life. Those who made it their mission to ruin other people's lives however? They were fair game as far as Trys was concerned.
At least, the lifestyle had suited her, until some new bull-shit 'order' had seemingly popped out the ground and began to hunt down her fellow vampyres.
Honestly, the audacity! Some of those very same vampyres hunted down were one's Trys knew! One was a very kind, elderly vampyre who ran the most quaint little bookstore Trys had ever had the pleasure of visiting. It's where she got most of her books.
Another was sweet young woman turned in the prime of her life who wonderfully ran a late night craft store, specifically for those like her-self or just the stray night owl who wandered in. Trys loved the yarn especially from that store, it was all hand-dyed and all-natural.
The latest in a rather lengthy list was concerning to say the very least, the victims being a family of three. The 'higher-ups' of the vampyre clans had finally sat up and taken notice seeing as it was a noble vampyre couple with their young daughter that was murdered.
Trys sighed at the missive that had been delivered, it was calling for all vampyres in their area to come to the assigned meeting place. More than likely, it was gonna be a few of the vampyre big-wigs who ran the area running their mouths about it just being 'stupid humans', and the others hemming and hawing at the information provided. Trys sighed again at the thought of going. Wouldn't it make more sense to just hunker down instead of congregating in one place?
No? Just her? She sighed for a third time before getting dressed and making her way out of her tiny, cramped apartment, books stuffed into bookshelves that lined the walls and knit apparel strewn throughout the little home.
It was certainly sure to be a long, exhausting night. One that would change Trys' life for either better or worse.
