Dazai had just shoved Sigma out of the elevator, and he was falling. It wasn’t his first time being dragged down by gravity, but this time had the most risk. He knew that there wasn’t much he could do before crashing to the ground. So, he decided on a message to Ango.
Accelerating the speed of his heart, he made it give the morse code of the message he wanted to send. He wasn’t sure what Ango was doing at the moment, but he hoped he was by his computer. It wasn’t quite the final message he expected to be sending.
‘Hey, so the elevator I’m in is falling, and I have a request, get Sigma out of here. I think he’d fit in, in the Agency, so save him.’ Dazai sighed, relaxing against the wall of the elevator, trying to be in a position for the least amount of damage from the fall.
When it hit the ground, he felt a sharp pain go through his ankles, and up his legs. The impact didn’t kill, but it severely hurt, making him grit his teeth, and look down the hallway. Seeing that he was alive, he thought about sending another message, but he knew that he had to get moving.
Using his arms, he dragged himself out of the broken elevator, wincing as his ankles moved. Blood was dripping from them, and Dazai was annoyed that this wasn’t over yet. He knew he’d have to force himself forward, and dragging his body along the floor would be too slow. So, reluctantly, he used a wall to get to his feet and stumbled forward.

Ango was in his office, monitoring the Agency’s invasion into the airport, when he got a notification that Dazai’s heartbeat was irregular again. Flipping over to the screen where he monitored Dazai, he got the morse code, and translated it, only to pause in fear.
From the tone of the message, he didn’t think he’d make it. Nervously, he watched the weak heartbeat, knowing that he must’ve made impact already. He could only imagine the broken bones, and pain his former friend had to be in. Wishing he had an easier way of contact.
Before that message, he’d sent one that had simply said ‘prison break,’ with no context. But now it made a bit more sense, and Ango feared that a fight had broken out between Dazai and Fyodor. He wanted to check back in with the Agency, but Dazai was more important to him at the moment.
Suddenly another message came through. ‘I’m confident my legs are broken, but I still have to go after Fyodor.’ Seeing that, he wanted to scream at him and tell him to retreat and recover. That going after Fyodor wasn’t necessary or worth the chance of Dazai losing his life.
So, he was stuck on the edge of his seat, watching two different chaotic situations unfold.
