Work Text:
Despite its impossibility, the fire cast shadows upon the walls. He rose as the dust settled. The summoning was done.
“Did it work?” The mortal wondered aloud, hoping it worked. Another shadow manifested across the cobble walls.
Then the demon spoke, “You need some more detail for your walls. Some texturing could really do a lot for this place. Maybe some wall decor…”
“Is that really how you’re greeting me after all this time ?” Tommy pouted, “I wanna cause problems, Grian!”
“Firstly, it’s only been–”
“It’s been a month! A whole month!”
“–Not a long time.”
“Maybe for you!”
Grian stretched and continued, “Secondly, I didn’t immediately realize that you were even the one to summon me! Believe it or not, a lot of people are bad at building.”
“Hey!” Tommy whined in offense.
“ Please let me teach you how to build good,” Grian pleaded, "Places like this drive me up the hecking wall.”
Tommy paused for a moment, feigning a genuine thought on the offer before stubbornly refusing, “ No .”
“I thought I almost had you there!” Grian smiled playfully.
“All I need is my cobble– and of course my many wives– and I’m all set!”
“Okay,” laughed Grian. “Anyways, what did you want to do? I got too distracted to ask earlier.”
Tommy excitedly launched into an explanation, “Okay, so, my friend Tubbo and his husband recently got a house, and I want to mess with them as like– a housewarming gift. I keep drawing a blank on what to do though! I figured Big Man Grian might have an idea or two.”
Grian grinned, “You said the two are married, right?”
Tommy nodded. “Platonically, though.”
“Well, we could fill their new house with flowers.”
Tommy hesitated, “It’s pretty big, so I’m not sure we could do that.”
“Worth a shot, it can’t be that big ,” Grian said, confidently.

“When you said big , I didn’t realize you meant massive !” Grian exclaimed as the mansion came into view.
“Ranboo’s loaded,” Tommy said in lieu of an explanation. “Still think we can fill it?”
Grian laughed, then proposed a solution, “How about we just fill the entrance? Then, we can get their reactions without the work it’d take to do the whole place.”
“Sounds good.” A grin crept onto Tommy’s face, “What are we waiting for? It won’t fill itself!”
And, so, they did.
