Summary
Eddie doesn’t believe in much.
Not God, like Bobby. Not the apparent Firehouse Gods, like Chim, or the science and math of the cosmos, like Hen and Karen. Or even the universe, like Buck does. He’s never been one to put much weight on the concept of destiny or soulmates. But he believes in them — he believes in Buck.
“So,” Eddie says, “are you going to get coffee with her?”
(Eddie was raised to be a good Catholic boy. He grows into his own kind of good man, instead.)
