Work Text:

Hood lowered his binoculars. Someone in a black leather and armoured costume was slinking around his base. No one should know it was his base, much less that he was here, so was this someone for Talia, who was letting him crash here?

If so, were they for Talia, or ‘for’ Talia?

Deciding it was better safe than sorry, Hood returned his helmet to his head and took off.

~~~~~
Lady Bug leapt to the window, having carefully calculated the momentum she needed and the correct timing so the sensors wouldn’t go off. She gasped as something grabbed her ankle and yanked her down.
Twisting to face her opponent, she withdrew a baton from her belt and extended it. Opposing her was a tall, built man in dark grey and a red helmet. Guns and various knives were strapped all over his body.
“Who are you?” they blurted at the same time.
“I’m Red Hood, who are you?”
“Lady Bug. Why are you here?”
“I live here. Why are you here?” he repeated.
“To visit someone. Clearly they’re not here,” she sniffed.
“Who’re you looking for, Little Bug?” he straightened from his defensive posture.
She bristled. “I’m not a little bug. Why I’m here is none of your business.”
“It’s my business when you’re breaking into my place to get it,” said Hood dryly. “It’s in my interests to help you, so you don’t get taken out by one of my extensive security precautions. Cleaning up bodies is so boring after a while.”
“Especially when they’re where you live,” she agreed. “Fine, I’ll go.”
She turned and leapt up various hand and foot holds to the top of the fifteen-foot barrier around the property.
Perching at the top, she paused and called down, “I don’t suppose you’d tell me a clue to the Dragon’s new quarters, would you?”
“You suppose correctly,” he called back cheerily.
Flipping him off, she dropped off the wall and disappeared into the night.
~~~~~

The next day Jason called Talia.

“Hey, T, it’s me. Do you know why a Lady Bug was buzzing around my place last night, looking for you?”

“Lady Bug, you say?” mused Talia. “Hm…I believe I do. If you come across her again, do give her a clue to my whereabouts. I’m curious about this one.”

Talia, curious about someone? That person was valuable, Jason considered. Lady Bug had two new admirers.
