Swamp Duo AU - Chapter 2 - Part 1

Summary:

Swamp Duo AU is a project mainly being showcased on my Tumblr, in which Shelby uncovers an ancient primordial Codfather hibernating under the Evermoor after a centuries-long bout of grief, and then they become friends and bond over feelings of failure and not living up to their own and other's expectations. It will mostly be explored through drawings and short text, but here is where I'll put any writings I do end up making :D

This is part 1 of chapter 2 in the series of comics and writings I'm making. Plenty more to come! Check out the previous works for better context for the story thus far!

Notes:

It's taken a bit, but SDAU is finally continuing! Posting the next 3 parts all at once, once you see the latest bit you'll know why this took so long lol.

I kinda hate how I've organized this series here on Ao3, but nothing to be done about it now, haha! I hope Chapter 2 Part 1 isn't too confusing a label.

Shelby's full text: "…and I don't really know what it's made out of, but it's been pretty easy getting the mud stains out. So it should be no issue, she's smart like that. Plus I think she would enjoy the challenge! She's always so passionate and determined, and she gets this fire in her eyes that is so magical… Uh! But, anyways! I can't wait for you to meet her, I think you'll get along great! Glimmer Grove has a river port that connects out to the sea, so we can take that route if you don't want to go through the Nether. Her kingdom is super pretty when you enter from the port. Well, it's pretty any direction you come from. She has such an elegant style of architecture. Even if her home is cursed, it still looks incredible. And that's another thing. Even though she's dealing with this big curse she's still so optimistic and fiery. I really admire that about her. Oh, and I can't even talk about- well I can't talk about it. But she's super strong. Like, super strong. Once she even lifted my giant cauldron onto it's side so I could clean it. You'll see what I mean, she doesn't wear sleeves so… uh, haha! Yeah you'll see! I wonder if she could beat you at arm wrestling? Do you think she could? I don't know how strong strong is but I would like to see it! Her battleaxe is as big as your arm is so she can probably give you a decent fight right? Oh yeah she has a sick battleaxe. It's super cool, also a gigantic bow."
