Ryan was nominated for a Tony, because of course he was. His choreography was beautiful and he worked so hard on it, even if Chad had to be coerced into being his husband’s dance partner when inspiration would unexpectedly strike at home. It seemed that the only person who was surprised that Ryan eventually won was Ryan himself.
“I can’t believe it,” he said that night in the car home from the after party, high on shock and champagne. “Isn’t it beautiful?”
“I don’t know,” Chad said with a smirk. “I don’t think it’s gonna match your Star Dazzle Award.”
