“O-OW!”
“K-Killua, don’t move around so much!”
“Gon, it really hurts. Are you sure you have to- OW!”
Killua groaned in annoyance as Gon treated the wound on his arm. They had just recently got back from a dangerous mission and had gotten into a scuffle with some enemy hunters. Not only did Killua get a deep gash on his arm, but the rest of his body was covered with bruises! He was just so reckless sometimes.
“I’m sorry, Killua,” Gon said, looking up at him with concern. “I know it hurts, but we have to make sure it doesn’t get infected.”
Killua sighed. He knew Gon was only trying to help, but the pain was becoming unbearable. The silver-haired boy closed his eyes and tried to focus on his breathing, hoping to distract himself from the discomfort.
"Yeah, I know," Killua mumbled, relaxing his body against the bed. "Can you hurry up?" He whined, pouting as Gon let out a chuckle, shaking his head. "You know we have to treat the other wound on your stomach. I think that one is worse than the one on your arm."
"It's nothing, I’m fine," Killua replies with a grumble, shoving his arm away from Gon's touch as he starts to flex his arm a little, but an unbearable pain shot through his entire body. Oh god.
"Shit," He cursed, clenching his teeth tightly as his muscles trembled. In response, Gon quickly scrambled to get ahold of him, placing both of his hands on his shoulders. “K-Killua? Are you okay?”
Killua gritted his teeth together, trying to hold back the scream threatening to escape his throat.
"No," He growled, his voice strained from the pain. "It's not nothing." He closed his eyes, attempting to control his breathing, but it was difficult. The intense pain seemed to spread all over his body, making him feel weak and helpless.
Gon's eyes widened in alarm, realizing how severe the injury was. "Okay, okay, uh…" He bit his lip, hastily cleaning and dressing the wound, trying to be as gentle as possible. "J-Just breathe, Killua, try to relax." He placed a hand on Killua's chest, feeling his heartbeat thudding erratically. "Don’t worry, I'll take care of you."
Killua felt a tug in his heart at Gon's words, and he couldn't help but lightly chuckle. "I don't know what I'd do without you." He reaches to cup his cheek with his good arm, smiling faintly.
Gon looks at him with a small, warm smile, gently thanking him for the gesture. For a moment the two stare at each other, love sparking in their gazes. Killua leans in a little closer, but before he could kiss his best friend, the other boy smiles as he looks away, an embarrassed look on his face.
"Stop trying to distract me," Gon giggles, playfully shoving his hand away, a soft laugh escaping from Killua's lips. "Why, you flustered?" Killua grinned mischievously despite the pain.
"Maybe a little," Gon replied quietly, as Killua squeezed his nose with his fingers, emitting a muffled laugh from the black-haired boy. As Gon finished dressing the wound, he felt relieved that it wasn't as bad as it could have been, but he also knew that Killua needed to rest and heal.
"You know," Gon began to speak, completely unaware that Killua was starting to slowly sit up on the bed, "I actually think Leorio would've done a better job at treating your wounds," The boy spoke, grasping the rubbing alcohol and the cotton balls from the bed as he placed them back in the first aid kit, "But he probably would've nagged you a lot."
He isn't aware of what Killua is doing.
"Kurapika on the other hand," Gon furrowed his eyebrows, attempting to remember what the blonde had told him. "He heals with Nen, but I don't know if that will help."
He still isn't aware that Killua is sitting straight up on the bed, completely shirtless, his ridiculously toned body in view.
"Hey, Gon," Killua interrupts, causing the dark-haired boy to turn toward him in surprise. When he notices Killua sitting up shirtless, his face turns a bright shade of red, flustered by the unexpected sight. "Um, I-I didn't know you were, um..." Gon stammered, feeling slightly embarrassed for staring at Killua's abs.
"It's alright," Killua said with a smirk, noticing Gon's blush. "My abs are just too hard to resist, right?"
"S-Stop trying to distract me!" Gon exclaims, his entire face reddened with embarrassment, and he can't help but playfully slap his boyfriend’s bare shoulder. The good shoulder, of course.
Killua only laughs as he falls back onto the bed, enjoying the hilarious sight of his best friend getting flustered. “Okay okay, sorry,” He giggles, glancing at Gon, who was still bright red. "But come on," The silver-haired male chuckles, "It's not like you haven't seen me shirtless before."
Gon shakes his head, "Okay, stop. I really need to treat your wounds before they get infected."
Killua whines in response, his lips forming into a pout, "Can't you do it later?"
Gon shakes his head firmly, "No, we need to take care of it now. It won't take long, I promise." He grasps Killua's hand, interlocking their fingers, his thumb stroking his knuckles. "You can have me to yourself when I'm done," He adds with a giggle, pressing a kiss onto his nose.
“That sounds tempting,” His boyfriend mumbles, “I don’t know if you’re just messing with me though.”
Gon's expression turns serious, his hand still holding onto Killua's. "I'm not messing with you, Killua. I really mean it." He leans in closer, their faces only inches apart, lips barely millimeters away.
"You promise?" Killua murmurs against his lips, and Gon nods in reply. "I promise."
The silver-haired boy reaches to caress his best friend's cheek, his thumb stroking his skin as he presses his forehead against his, their noses touching.
"You so owe me," Killua grumbles as Gon playfully rolls his eyes before interlocking their lips.
The silver-haired boy chuckles against his boyfriend's lips, enjoying the feeling of being close to his best friend. They kiss for a few moments, the world around them fading into the background. After some time, the two pull away, their cheeks flushed with color.
“I think I should treat your wound now,” Gon murmured against his lips, and Killua softly chuckles, pressing his forehead against his, his breath warm against his skin. “I think you should.” He replies softly, his voice low and deep. Gon trails his fingers across Killua’s silver hair, cupping his cheek afterward. His thumb trailed over Killua’s skin, and he feels himself getting lost in his beautiful, crystal-like eyes.
“Killua,” Gon’s voice is small, soft, and quiet. “You have really pretty eyes.”
Killua blushes at Gon's words, ducking his head slightly and smiling shyly. His heart flutters at Gon's words, and he leans into his touch. "Stop it," He says playfully, but there's a hint of affection in his tone. Gon only laughs, and presses a soft kiss onto his lips before pulling away.
He grabs some bandages from the first aid kit, along with some hydrogen peroxide, before shuffling towards the wound on Killua’s stomach. Gon glances at his boyfriend to check on him, but he doesn’t need to worry when he has a tired, yet soft smile on his face.
Gently, Gon pours a little bit of hydrogen peroxide onto the wound, causing Killua to hiss in pain. "Sorry," Gon says sympathetically as he continues to clean the wound. “It’s fine,” Killua nods in understanding, even though he continues to wince as the hydrogen peroxide stings his skin.
After cleaning the wound thoroughly, Gon carefully applies the bandages, making sure to cover the entire wound so it won't get infected.
“Sorry, are you okay?” He asks, concern etched on his face. Killua looks up at Gon, his eyes filled with gratitude and love. “I’m fine,” He softly replies, grasping Gon’s hand and interlocking their fingers. The silver-haired boy slowly sits up, reclining against the bed as they stood in silence.
Killua glances at Gon, who exchanges a shy, toothed smile. He can’t help but smile himself, feeling his mouth start to hurt as his grin grows wide, the two of them exchanging words through their actions.
Gon crawls next to his boyfriend, feeling the heat of Killua’s body radiate off of him. As the two of them sat on the bed, Gon couldn’t help but stare at Killua, enjoying the closeness without any words exchanged. The air between them feels electrifying, filled with unspoken feelings and emotions.
He took this moment to analyze Killua’s bare, yet toned body; his pale skin was covered with a lot of scars and healing cuts, and he couldn’t help but wonder where he got them from.
Killua couldn’t help but chuckle as Gon stared at him, his cheeks tinting pink. “What’s up? Do you just like staring?” He asks, breaking the silence.
Gon blinked, and his cheeks flushed red. “No..” He murmurs, averting his gaze, as Killua softly laughs in response.
“It’s okay,” The other boy replies, grasping his hand and pulling him closer, interlocking their fingers. “You can stare. I don’t mind.” He wants Gon to look.
“I-I’m just curious about your scars,” Gon shyly said, his gaze still away from Killua. “You have a lot of them. How did you get them?” He asks in a soft murmur. They’re cool, he thinks.
“Well,” Killua began with a mumble as Gon finally looked back at his bare body. Now he’s looking. “Most of ‘em are from when I used to live with my family, and some are from when we were at the Hunter’s Exam,” The boy spoke softly, placing a hand against the bed as he put his entire body weight on it.
Gon hummed in confirmation, still drinking in Killua’s shirtless body. He isn’t paying attention; Killua knows that. He knows that Gon is distracted by his muscular body, but he doesn’t mind, not a single bit.
“Have you ever been stabbed in the arm before?” Killua asks with a smirk, and that brings Gon back to reality. He shakes his head, then adds with a soft chuckle, “Nope, but I’ve broken my arm before. I think that’s worse though,” He giggles.
Killua only laughs, “Yeah.” He says, glancing at his arm, which was covered with a scar near the valley of his wrists. “I remember playing around with a knife when I was six, and I accidentally stabbed Milluki,” He stifled a laugh, and Gon couldn't help but gape with shock.
“He got really mad and stabbed me here,” He points to the scar with his index finger, still holding back laughter. “I don’t even know what I did, he just did it, and I remember crying to my mom because it hurt so much.” Killua finally laughs, his stomach hurting a little from laughing too hard.
Gon isn’t sure how Killua is laughing because of a traumatic experience like that. After a few seconds, Killua gains his composure, ending his laughter with a soft sigh. “It was funny,” A small smile appears on his face as he giggles, but it quickly fades as melancholy can be seen in his blue eyes. “I kind of miss those times, you know, when I actually was happy with my family. Is that bad?” The silver-haired boy glances at Gon, who hesitates to respond.
“If you’re talking about the stabbing part, then yes.” He says, which causes Killua to laugh again. Gon loves hearing him laugh. “But the family part? Then no.”
“Yeah.” Killua chuckles, both of them falling into a calm, content silence. The soft hum of the air conditioner fills the room, and Gon can’t help but feel grateful for this moment with his best friend. Despite everything they’ve been through, they still manage to find moments of peace and happiness.
“I have scars, but only on my arms and legs,” Gon spoke, breaking the silence. “It was from training and fights. I think they're also from playing around Whale Island,” He adds with a chuckle, to which Killua smiles. They sit there in silence, the soft rays of the moon shedding through their bedroom window, casting shadows on the walls. The air between them is comfortable and familiar, a testament to their strong bond.
Gon glanced at Killua’s hand, which was sprawled out on the bed, and he couldn't help but reach it and look at the scar in his palm.
“And this one?” He says, eyes glistening with curiosity as he scans the healed wound.
Killua grins, and he confidently responds by saying: “I fought a lion.”
Gon’s eyes widened in surprise, and he glanced at Killua with admiration in his eyes.
“Really?!” He exclaims, and Killua can’t help but laugh at his reaction, finding it adorable and utterly hilarious. Gon was kinda gullible. “No, you dummy,” Killua flicks his forehead, causing him to pout and groan in annoyance. “I just got cut there by a knife. A lion’s bite would be a much bigger scar."
“Oh,” Gon responds, feeling a little disappointed that his boyfriend never fought a lion before. “I was gonna brag to Kurapika and Leorio about it…” He pouts.
Killua laughs, “I mean, you can. They won’t know.” He grins cheekily, to which Gon chuckles in response.
They sit in silence again, and Gon can’t help but rest his head against Killua’s shoulder, prompting him to softly chuckle. The dark-haired boy starts drawing circles in the center of Killua’s palm, tracing every line in his skin. His skin was a little rough, but it was warm and comforting. It was moments like these that made Gon feel truly content and happy. He didn’t need grand adventures or thrilling battles, just being with Killua was enough.
“That feels nice,” Killua murmurs, his voice soft and low. Gon loves hearing his voice, especially when he’s calm, like this. It makes him feel like he’s the only one in the world that Killua is talking to.
“It does?” Gon asks softly.
“Mm,” Killua hums quietly, enjoying the warmth of the moment. “Yeah.”
Gon's fingers continued their slow dance on Killua's palm, exploring the contours and lines that told the story of his existence. Each touch conveyed a depth of understanding, a silent promise of unwavering support. The warmth of Killua's shoulder against his head radiated a sense of security, enveloping him in a cocoon of affection.
“You have such soft hands,” Killua comments with a tired chuckle, closing his eyes. “..Th-Thanks,” Gon awkwardly replies, feeling a warm blush spread across his cheeks. He continues tracing circles in Killua’s palm, enjoying the feeling of closeness between them.
Killua can’t help but interlock their fingers, his thumb caressing Gon’s knuckles. He rests his head against him, letting out another content sigh.
“I think you should rest,” The black-haired boy spoke, his voice soft and quiet. “Yeah,” Killua agrees with a hum, feeling his eyelids droop. He can't help but yawn, and the sight of it reminds Gon of a cat. “Will you stay with me?” He murmurs sleepily, not wanting to let go of the comforting feeling of Gon’s presence.
Gon can’t help but chuckle at his sleepiness, finding it cute. “You don’t even need to ask,” He says softly, planting a kiss on Killua’s nose.
The silver-haired boy yawns again, this time letting his body flop onto the bed. He stretches his arms out to his boyfriend, “Come here,” He says sleepily, beckoning Gon closer.
He giggles in response but doesn’t hesitate to crawl next to him and succumb to his warmth, and as he does so, Killua huddles closer, their legs intertwined.
“Killua,” Gon lets out a muffled chuckle, the scent of the wound treatment lingering in his nostrils, “You smell like sweat and rubbing alcohol,” He can't help but scrunch his face at the smell, and a grin forms on Killua's lips. "Really?" He smirks, squishing their bodies together, the scent stronger than before. The dark-haired boy can't help but cough, but he simultaneously feels comforted by the closeness.
"Killua, don't do that!" Gon can't help but laugh and playfully shove his boyfriend away, to which the other boy snickers and proceeds to pull him closer, wrapping his arms around him tightly. "Does it really smell?"
"Yeah, but it's not a bad smell," He chuckles, wrapping his arms around Killua's waist, gently pulling him closer. "It's just, you know, strong."
Killua hums in response, his fingers tracing patterns on Gon's back. The room is quiet, the only sound being their breathing and the occasional rustle of the sheets. In the silence, Gon can feel Killua's heartbeat against his chest, steady and strong. He can't help but glance at his bandaged stomach, then look back up at him.
Killua chuckles a little, feeling a little flustered, "What's up?"
"Does it hurt?" Gon motions to the wound on his stomach, his fingers slightly grazing Killua's bare skin.
Killua flinches slightly at the touch but quickly relaxes, leaning in closer to Gon. “It's not too bad, just a little sore.” He smiles softly, his eyes meeting Gon's. The boy smiles back, his eyes shining with tenderness.
“Do you think if I kiss it, it will make you feel better?”
At that, Killua’s face flushed red. “Gon-“
Gon can’t help but giggle before bursting into laughter, the sound of it bouncing off the walls, filling the room with warmth.
“You idiot,” His boyfriend grumbled, his cheeks still a shy red, “You’re so embarrassing!”
“But you’re considering it, right?” Gon teases, leaning in close to Killua's wound.
Killua's face flushes even redder, and he grabs the nearest pillow and tosses it onto his boyfriend's face, a muffled laugh escaping from the dark-haired boy. “No way! How can you say stuff like that without getting embarrassed?!” The silver-haired boy exclaims, unable to keep himself from smiling despite his embarrassment.
Gon removes the pillow from his face and smiles up at Killua. "I don't know, I just like seeing you flustered," he says with a mischievous twinkle in his eyes.
Killua rolls his eyes but can't help the smile that spreads across his face. "You're impossible," He huffs, shaking his head fondly.
“Should I just kiss you instead?” Gon grins a toothy grin, one that is mischievous yet adorable at the same time.
In response, his boyfriend huffs, his eyes narrowing slightly, "You know I can't say no to that."
The dark-haired boy chuckles and leans in, placing a gentle kiss on his boyfriend’s lips. Killua's ears turn bright red as he leans into the kiss, deepening it slightly. His fingers find their way to Gon's hair, tangling in the soft locks as he pulls him closer. He can feel Gon smile against his lips, and he can't help but smile too. This was one of the many things Killua loved about Gon—his playful nature always brought a smile to his face.
Moments like this were special, moments when they could just be themselves, without any worries or distractions. It was just the two of them, wrapped up in each other's arms.
As they pull away, Gon looks up at his flustered boyfriend with a soft smile, “Better?”
Killua nods, feeling a bit more at ease after Gon's affection. “Much better,” He admits, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "Maybe you're not so embarrassing after all."
Gon giggles, and he lays back against the bed, the two of them staring into each other’s eyes. He finds himself snuggling closer to Killua’s bare body, enjoying the warmth and comfort of his boyfriend's embrace. Killua tightens his grip, holding him close as they lay there in silence. The gentle hum of the air conditioning fills the room, and the moon shines faintly through the window, casting a soft glow over the bed. At this moment, time seems to stand still, and the world fades away until it's just the two of them, lost in each other's embrace.
“Gon,” Killua softly murmurs, “Can I kiss you again?”
Gon smiles, the mischievous glint returning to his eyes. "Of course, Killua," he says, leaning in close to his boyfriend.
As their lips meet in a soft, passionate kiss, Gon feels a warmth spreading through him, filling him with a sense of contentment and happiness. He sinks his fingers into Killua’s soft silver hair, deepening the kiss as it becomes more intense. As their kiss intensifies, Gon's mind drifts back to the day they first met. It had been a chance encounter during the Hunter Exam, but even then, he had felt a connection with Killua that he couldn't explain. Now, as they lay intertwined in a loving embrace, he realizes that what he had felt was love.
Gon breaks the kiss, gazing deeply into Killua's eyes. As they stare at each other, Killua feels his face heat up with embarrassment. He chuckles a little, his lips forming into a shy, yet smug smile. “What’s with you and staring?”
Gon laughs at Killua's comment. He knows he has a tendency to stare at his boyfriend, but he can't help it. He finds Killua incredibly fascinating, and his heart swells with love every time he looks at him. As they lie together, wrapped in each other's arms, Gon can't help but feel grateful for the chance encounter that brought them together.
Memories of all the adventures they've had together flood Gon's mind, from climbing the world's tallest tree to facing off against some of the most dangerous creatures in the world. But what he loves most about Killua is his unwavering loyalty and the way he always has his back, no matter what.
Gon shakes his head, his eyes twinkling in the moonlight. “I just…” His sentence trailed off, and he can’t help but bite his bottom lip, suddenly feeling embarrassed.
Killua grins, and he nudges his shoulder playfully, “Yeaaah?” He encourages Gon to continue, with a longer-than-usual 'yeah'.
“I love you,” He simply whispers, and Killua's heart swells with happiness. He feels his face heat up, the grin on his face widening so much to the point that his mouth started to hurt. Killua leans in and presses a soft kiss to Gon's lips, whispering back, "I love you too, Gon. More than anything in this world."
“More than chocolate?” Gon jokes and Killua laughs a soft, sweeter-than-candy laugh. "Almost as much as chocolate, Gon. Almost." They both giggle, enjoying the moment of lightheartedness and affection.
They lay there in silence for a while, just enjoying each other’s presence. Killua can feel Gon’s steady breaths against his shoulder, and it fills him with a sense of contentment he doesn’t often experience. He’s grateful for this moment, grateful for Gon, and grateful for the love they share.
Eventually, Killua’s breathing slows down, and he falls asleep, the sound of Gon’s heartbeat lulling him into a peaceful slumber. Gon stays awake for a while longer, just tracing delicate patterns on Killua’s back with his fingers, enjoying the feeling of his warm body against his.
As they lay there, wrapped up in each other’s arms, Gon can feel his love for Killua growing stronger, and he knows that no matter what happens in the future, they’ll always have moments like these to hold onto. Moments of peace, love, and happiness.
