At the start hadn’t even been aware that he was doing it, but ever since that first meeting, he had kept an eye out for him.
Gon would lean against the railing of the boat on summer afternoons, eyes following the waves, trying desperately to spy a glimpse of that hair below the surface, or the sliver shine of his tail against the sun.
On late nights when he couldn’t sleep, he would open his little port window and stick his head out. The wind would be harsh, it would wake him up and keep his eyes sharp. And he would look. He would search.

Once he was certain the arena was empty, he turned off the engine and slung his bag over his shoulder. He'd barely made it into the building before Ikalgo leaned over from the front desk and chided, "You won't be able to avoid them forever, ya know.”
Sharp blue eyes looked up from under a tuft of snowy white bangs. “It's worked so far.”
Ikalgo fashioned Killua with a doubtful expression, amusement tugging at the corners of his mouth.
