Hey, this is the sequel of my giyushino fanfiction "The Beginning of an Unexpected Dream." I recommend you read it first before this one.
This will take place once my Giyushino oc child Fujiki is 11 years old.
After some deliberation, I've decided that his last name should be Kocho instead of Tomioka. Giyuu doesn't want him to take his last name in fear of his relatives who shunned him thinking he killed his sister, would scorn him, making Fujiki an anomaly within his peers for having such a family.

Also, I've always head cannoned Shinobu's family to be rich as they worked around with compounding medicines. As the only surviving child, Shinobu inherited her parents' wealth. To prevent clashes with other relatives about the inheritance, it's best if Fujiki's last name is Kocho.
With his two best friends he will time travel (yet again cause plot hole lmao) to the past. The era would be around when the Kamboko squad are in rehabilitation in the butterfly mansion. Shinobu is 18 and Giyuu is 21.
Most characters are canon except for some minor characters and the 3 main boys, including the giyushino oc child.

Anyways here are my main oc characters for this work :
Kocho Fujiki
Appearance:
- He inherited his mother's purple eyes but unlike hers, his eyes are rather faded with some specs of blue like his father's.
- His black hair is both spiky yet wavy, which is a mixture of both his parents. As he gradually got older his tips started turning purple like Shinobu's.
- His eye, face, and body shape are like Giyuu's but his eye color, sharp nose, and charming smile is like Shinobu's.
Description:
- He is an 11 years old boy who's Tomioka Giyuu and Kocho Shinobu's only child.
-His Birthday is on April 24th. Japan's spring begins around that time, and like his late aunt Kanae, he was born on the 24th day of their respective months.
- His name translates to wisteria tree.
- Shinobu and Giyuu teaches him here and there on how to wield a sword. Just in case.
- His parents are very overprotective of him–especially Shinobu–forbidding him from doing anything dangerous. This is why he decided to disobey them once and followed his friends' mischief.
- In a pouch attached to the inside of his haori is Kanae's hairpin that broke during Kanao's fight with upper moon 2. She gifted it to him when he was 7. Shinobu asked if he wanted it fixed but he refused. He thinks his late aunt can watch over him with her hairpin being undisrupted from the time she was still alive. He brings it him frequently as a good luck and protection charm.
Likes and Personality:
- He loves salty and savory foods and he isn't too fond of anything sweet.
- He is very blunt and oblivious most of the time. He does not sugarcoat at all–well unless it's his mother. He holds a special affection for his mother and he'd rather drag everyone else but her.
- He is usually clumsy unless the situation is serious.
- He has a very big self-esteem issue. He always thinks he must be flawless because of how respected both his parents are, so he struggles with accepting mistakes and learning from it.
- He is highly interested in a lot of his mother's work with science experiments and such.
- A secret hobby of his would be his artistic capabilities such as painting and playing the shakuhachi (a Japanese flute). He doesn't let people know of it because he's a shy kid.
- He is a very gentle and understanding boy. He's been told his smile was like medicine, so he always tries to smile at others. In truth, others just think it's a waste he isn't smiling since he's too handsome for his own good.
Daisuke
Appearance:
- He has straight brown hair with sharp bangs that covers his eyebrows.
- He has small dark eyes like his father.
Description:
- He is 6 minutes younger than his twin brother, Daisuke.
The twins' birthday is on August 8, which is in the middle of the Japanese summer.
- He's 12 years old, making him and his brother a year older than Fujiki.
-His father, Murata, was a demon slayer who retired early due to the trauma of almost dying from being slowly melted by a demon. The fact that other slayers mocked him for his incompetence was also a factor to his early retirement.
-Their mother got pregnant with them rather early, and in fact, their parents were still teenagers and unmarried when it happened.
Likes and Personality:
- He is the more mischievous and unruly twin.
- He has a sweet tooth. Fujiki doesn't like eating out with him due to their contrasting taste.
- He's very loud and more often than not, acts before he thinks.
- He loves to prank other people. Though he is afraid of Shinobu. The first and only time he's pranked her he thought she would legit devour him. Her face is always smiling but he knows she was more than that.
- Contrary to his image he actually enjoys painting. He asks for Fujiki's advice and tips on how to better his arts a lot.
Daichi
Appearance:
- He has brown hair but unlike his brother, his hair is a mix of both straight and a bit spiky at his tips.
- Like Murata his bangs part ways in the middle and he also has small dark eyes like him.
- He and his brother look identical except for their hairstyles, which is the only way you can tell them apart.
Description:
- He is 6 minutes older than his twin brother, Daiki.
- The twins' birthday is on August 8, which is in the middle of the Japanese summer.
- He's 12 years old, making him and his brother a year older than Fujiki.
- Their father is a gardener while their mother sews clothes for a living,
- His father has told him to treat the Kocho and Tomioka family with respect, though he hasn't found the reason as to why his father thinks of them so highly.
Likes and Personality:
- He is the more rational twin. Don't let that fool you since in actuality he is actually the mastermind behind the twins' pranks.
- He seems timid but he's just careful and awkward most of the time.
- Unlike his very sociable and outgoing brother, he has a harder time talking to others without his twin.
- He enjoys reading and he dreams of writing his own novel one day.
- He often visits Shinobu as she is the smartest person he knows that is willing to teach him many things without cost.
- He admires and respects Fujiki a lot, but he also has an inferior complex about their differences.
- While Daisuke treats Fujiki as more of a buddy, Daichi treats him a bit more formally like you would of a superior.
- Writing is his hobby, and he dreams of becoming an author one day.
- He enjoys fishing with Fujiki and his parents, who also happened to fish pretty often.
- He loves anything seafood.

My update goal will vary depending on how busy I am at work and school, and especially mt motivation level.
