"Dae! Dae stop!" Kitty flew right there next to them, urging Dae to let him go. "It's not Min Ho. This has nothing to do with him," she cried, and his heart ached a little.
Dae liberated his collar. Then looked at his friend, feeling remorseful, "I'm sorry, I thought you-"
"And I think that..." Min Ho discontinued his lame discourse. He was beyond irritated, for the statement and because Dae had been so sharp to discover his disloyal endearness with Kitty, "it was better when you were just pen pals," he remarked. "Deep down, she probably thinks that too."
Min Ho fixed his black t-shirt, and walked out from the auditorium. Defeat wasn't something he was familiar with, but why... why was he feeling abashed? Like he had lost something... when, in the first place he had nothing more than a charming attitude and sarcastic comebacks.
But then... for a moment, when he lunged at her to mitigate the growing fire on her skirt, he felt like a knight in shining armor. For a moment, he felt like he could be so much more. That he was meant to give more than he could receive. He understood what he was capable to do out of love.
And the next thing he knew was Dae hitting him against a wall. It didn't even hurt him like the words Kitty said afterwards.
«It's not Min Ho» She said. Then, who it was? Who could be the person Kitty had feelings for? And, were those feelings so strong to break their relationship?
It was eventually revealed to him this person was actually Yuri. And their fake, odd love triangle became more and more confusing on his skeptical eyes, because now, it had become real. He was still kinda sour at Dae for lying to Kitty, for letting her stay in their lives, but he was even more bitter at himself for developing feelings towards her when all she did was to exasperate and to poison him. And to be fair, after all the drama, Yuri turned out being a great friend to Covey.
For Min Ho, it didn't matter that she liked a girl or another boy. What pinched him was that, she didn't like him, not like he wanted to. That she didn't even know. That the possibility didn't even cross her mind. And there was no one else to blame but himself.
He didn't know if he could ever confess his feelings, but just after that shortly insight, Kitty was kicked out from K.I.S.S., so he needed to move, strategically and fast. There was no way he could allow her to leave without properly declaring himself first. If that was the last glimpse of an opportunity he had, he would take it. To never look back at what he once was.
