Work Text:
"Welcome to our Find your Soulmate service."
Tony was looking at his desk while the awful song of the client service was going on.
He shouldn't have called.
This was stupid.
Tony hung up, before getting up and walking out the door.
"Tony!" Pepper's voice called out to him, but Tony ignored her.
She had her soulmate, James.
He had brought them together, convinced that Pepper could be his soulmate and rectified by the ecstatic smile on his best friend's face.
While walking the streets of New York, he bumped into a passerby.
"Watch where you go."
Tony looked offended at the boy.
He had long black hair, green eyes and a small beard.
"Hey, it was an accident, but given your behavior I'd say..." Tony was interrupted by a second person who approached.
"Bucky, come on, Sam's got the..."
When their eyes met, Tony felt a burst of life.
The colors were brighter, the sounds clearer, the smile easier.
"I'm Tony Stark."
"Steve Rogers." The blond boy with the blue eyes smiled.
His soulmate smiled.
The other boy present, Bucky if Tony had understood correctly, snorted. "Clearly your soul mate had to be an idiot."
Bucky left and Tony smiled. "I don't think your friend likes me very much."
"It is okay, Bucky hardly likes anyone." Steve shrugged, before smiling and saying. "Do you want to go and have a coffee together?"
"Absolutely yes." Tony was extremely happy that he put down with the soul mates association.
Who needed matchmaking, he smiled as Steve started talking about his work as an artist, Tony Stark could be matchmaking himself.
