Curly: When I woke up this morning I wasn't expecting my notifications to be flooded with videos of ‘Style’.
Curly: Really? 🙄
Niall: I'm sorry. We both love Taylor and it was on her list of songs she wanted to sing.
Curly: I fully support Gina... but still. Style?
Curly: A warning would've been nice.
Niall: You know I can't give spoilers about the show including song choice. Even if you are Harry Styles, the person it is about.
Curly: Supposedly.
Niall: There's nothing to speculate H. It was confirmed like ten years ago. Sorry to be the one to break it to you.
Curly: Uncalled for.
Curly: I'm calling the producers of the show to complain about coaches having so much control over their team’s song choice. And I'm going to complain about one coach in particular. Hopefully they'll boot him.
Niall: Doubt it. They sought him out by approaching him over others that will remain unnamed and even asked him back for a second season even before the current one finished.
Curly: I was BUSY! Is tour a not a good enough excuse?
Niall: I suppose it is, if you're looking for excuses.
Curly: What does that mean?
Niall: Oh, nothing.
Niall: Too bad you couldn't come in as my guest mentor, a real shame. Tour and all that.
Curly: STOP mocking me, you know I've been going nonstop for two years.
Niall can vividly picture the vein that's popping on the side of Harry's head, normally hidden along his temple and only really flaring when he was mildly annoyed or angry. But he's only taking the piss and Harry knows this. He still loves teasing and working him up from time to time, it's an even balance of that between the two of them.
Niall: I know love; I'm just having you on. Light fun, I promise.
Niall: I know how hard you work.
Curly: Thank you. And tell Gina that she did a wonderful job (even if the song choice is questionable).
Niall: She loves that you're rooting for her. She freaked out the first time I told her. She was like: He knows I exist?
Curly: Don't they all?
Niall: Harold! Play nice, this is my child you're talking about. My precious Gina.
Curly: I joke, I kid. I'd never be mean like that on purpose.
Niall: You're so feisty today.
Curly: You love me for it.
Niall holds down on the text and reacts with the thumbs-down emoji. In return, Harry sends him a string of broken hearts and a crying emoji. Dork. Idiot. His mind supplies these words and he physically has to refrain from typing them out. He doesn't need Harry to go into full-on pouting mode.
Curly: I saw the official post on The Voice's Instagram where they announced Gina as the winner. They don't miss an opportunity, do they?
Niall knew exactly what he was referencing.
Niall: No, they don't. But the wordplay is there. It works, I suppose.
Curly: You've got that one thing
Curly: They'll piggyback off of any promo they can get. It's a good thing the majority of our songs are catchy.
Niall: Majority?
Curly: Yes. You read that right. Now let's talk about your incredible white suit.
Curly: She's a stunner. I'm proud. 😭
Niall: Can a suit be referred to as a she?
Curly: Opposed to you calling your cock a ‘she’?
Niall: HEY! That was ONCE and TEN years ago.
Niall: Will you ever let that go?
Curly: No.
Niall: You're evil. And like I've told you a million times before I was just test-driving that out.
Niall: Maybe I'll start doing it again.
Curly: Oh Niall... PLEASE don't.
Niall: You're the one who brought it up.
Curly: And I'm regretting it already.
Curly: Back to the important stuff though. An. All. White. Suit.
Curly: And the chest hair peaking out. Cheeky. Your hair also looks so floofy and I forgot how much I love your earrings. Sinful.
Niall: I do have an image to uphold. An audience to dazzle, and fans to please thank you very much.
Curly: Am I part of that fan base?
Niall: If you want to be.
Curly: Of course I want.
Curly: I have to tell you that you're the sweetest. “I told her on day one when she was a nervous wreck that she was going the whole way. This girl is special. Special talent and people that are nice do good things.” That made my heart melt and I actually cried. You just changed her life forever darling, that's something to celebrate and be proud of.
Niall: Stop quoting things I've said in videos back to me. It's weird.
Niall: You've always been a big sap, that's why I love you so much ❤️
Curly: I love you too and because I know you can't accept compliments I'll overlook your lack of gratefulness.
Curly: We must save Gina at all costs. I cannot wait to meet her. Can we adopt her?
Niall: I don't know what her parents would say but the thought has crossed my mind. Ryley too?
Curly: Ryley too.
Curly: I need to hook both of them up with stylists. They already have excellent taste and some help will only elevate that.
Niall: I love how much you love them already.
Curly: Our kids :')
Niall: Well not yet technically. And they're more mine than yours anyways...
Curly: Excuse me Niall; I will not tolerate this slander. I love them too and it's only a matter of time before they meet me and both decide they prefer me over you.
Niall: Unlikely.
Curly: Don't be so sure. I can be very charming.
Niall: Don't I know it? How else would I end up in this rabbit hole we call our relationship?
Curly: HEY. None of that. You knew what you were signing up for.
Niall: Ditto.
Curly: One last thing before I let you go.
Niall: What's that?
Curly: I noticed that they used the audio of you singing Little Things from an interview to show Gina's hug with you and Blake. That's evil of them, but also kind of genius.
Niall: A punch to the gut that was.
Niall: At first I didn't realize it was from that interview and thought it was the original audio.
Curly: They know how to get you right in the heart. Emotional damage
Niall: Stop quoting that one TikTok. And videos of me. I regret showing you anything from this century.
Curly: I'm trying to stay young, Niall. Relevant. You are in your TikTok and influencer era as your Lovers say.
Niall: Ok, I'm officially done with you.
Curly: Is this it? The “big break-up” then?
Niall: If you want it to be.
Curly: I'm offended you'd give in so easily.
Niall: I'm so close to blocking you again. Don't you remember the last time?
Curly: Yes. Three whole days of ignoring me and unanswered texts.
Curly: I just thought your phone was off or something.
Niall: Dumb ass.
Curly: But I'm your dumb ass.
Niall: I thought we were in the middle of a ‘big break-up’ as you put it?
Curly: Shut it.
Niall: So much for treat people with kindness H. Is that just something you say in front of the fans? If only they knew how you really were.
Niall: Maybe I need to leak our texts.
Curly: We would have no fans left by the time they read our entire thread.
He considers this for a moment and laughs in agreement.
Niall: For once, you're not wrong.
Curly: I would love to keep this going but I need to go, baby. Enjoy your win; you deserve to bask in this victory for a bit longer. Send Gina my love. ❤️
Niall: Will do, you big sap.
Niall: Love you.
Curly: Love you more.
Curly: And so will Gina and Ryley (love me more by the time I'm finished with them).
Niall: You couldn't let me have this?
