The woman remained silent for a few seconds before she spoke up, almost in a whisper. “Do you think there’s a chance that everything could turn back normal again?” Yuta stared back perplexed but she continued, “Our family has plans for when things get back to normal… But…” Her eyes wavered, almost as if she was afraid. “It’s not going to happen, is it?”
“How could you say that?!” Her companion intervened but the black-haired woman only looked at him for an answer.
Yuta opened his mouth to reply but stopped himself to think it over more carefully, he dreamt of that word becoming a reality so often, but the outside world always crushed it at every opportunity. It’s been eleven years since everything went down the drain; over a decade of his life gone with no hint of improvement.
“… I don’t think normal is on the horizon.”
