Liane looked around trying to spot any available parking space, at this hour it was always a little difficult finding somewhere to set her car. She let out a quiet sigh as she was passing by more parked cars then suddenly she heard her son, eric, yell as he rested his finger on the window at a free spot
“Mawm!! Theres a spot right there!” He glanced at his mom expecting her to speed over there, she didnt and instead drove mannerly to the spot, Finally being able to park the car.
As the mom dug in her purse to find her lipstick she thanked eric “Thank you poopsiekins for the help” She gave him a quick smile then focused on fixing up her makeup before they got out the car by using the rear view mirror as a makeup one.
Eric didnt say a “You’re welcome” to her instead he waited impatiently by rocking back and forth, holding onto the sides of the seat
Liane finished up her look and opened her car door stepping out, Eric doing the same. She locked the doors once they were both ready.
Liane took erics hand trailing him to the mall “Come on cuddlebunny” she encouraged him to speed up a bit, he didnt listen of course but she didnt say anything about it
They stepped inside the crowded market, barely getting past the swarm of people going in and out of the place. Liane kept Cartman right next to her while they looked around for a specific store to check out. The boy tugged on his moms sleeve making her focus on him
“Mawm mawm holy shit they have, they have the new 9th mega ranger” He pointed with a basically vibrating hand at the toy store that had a attention grabbing sign showing said mega ranger, looking up at his mother with pitiful eyes wanting to go there desperately
“Nono sweetiekins we’re going shopping for clothes then we can buy what you want oka-“ She was cut off by eric beginning to wail crocodile tears, he clung onto lianes leg for life while he whined as if he was told his family was murdered and slowly slid down to his knees for dramatic effect
Liane felt a instant pit of guilt in her stomach not wanting her little eric to be upset about anything. She scooped up Eroc with complete ease despite him being “big-boned” she was able to carry him as if he was still a baby. Liane cooed him comforting phrases
“Oh eric, im so sorry i didn’t mean make you upset! we’ll get the mega ranger first then” She rubbed his head while she whispered to him, he immediately calmed down and got a huge smile “ssSweettt”
They or more so Liane walked to the megaranger store. Eric excitedly bounced in her arms ready to get the new megaranger for his collection already planning to play with it and the others when they get back home; Maybe get Liane to join in
Once liane stepped foot into the store Cartman squirmed around in her arms before she set him down. Liane didnt realize after he got down he would grab her hand and drag her around the place to look at all the megarangers. The lady felt like her wallet wasnt going to enjoy the purchase or more likely, purchases
They browsed the megarangers together, Liane quietly listening to cartman ramble on about how the megarangers work and what they’re about. She had heard this information countless times, but she didnt mind hearing it again. Eric did always figure out new things, sharing them with her along with the older facts. She kept him close while they looked around. The mother was quite honestly impressed with the models herself, it was understandable why Eric enjoyed them so much.
The boy laid his eyes on the toy he was looking for, the ninth megaranger. From the looks of it, it was also the last one in stock. Liane was looking at another megaranger as he went for it, not noticing he dashed off
Right as Cartmans hand landed on the box it was snatched away from him. Eric turned to the person that took the toy away and it was some other kid a little older than his age. The kid snickered and blew his tongue at cartman seeing how aggravated he was
Cartman retaliated, flailing his arms around “Hey! That was my megaranger, my hand was on it first” The sound of his voice made Liane looked over, putting away the toy she had for Eric once she realized her baby was upset. She quickly got over to Eric and bent down to his level
“My my, what happened poopsiekins?” She patted erics shoulder in a attempt to comfort him
“Your mom still calls you..poopsiekins?” The kid couldnt help but cackle at the both of them, keeping a surprisingly tight grip on the megaranger in his arms
Eric raised his finger as his face turned red in frustration “Kill yourself!” Liane smiled and nodded in agreement “You sho- I mean um..Nono! Bad eric!” She coughed awkwardly then looked at the kid “Wheres your mother hun?”
The kid stood there for a moment plotting something before starting to tear up “M-My mom..died yesterday..” he sniffled and rubbing at his teary eyes
Liane just uncomfortably stared at the kid while she started to pick up eric. “Uhuh..” Liane nodded her head “Oh that sucks dear.” She didnt really have a tone to her voice, it was blank. It was obvious Liane didnt care too much or really at all about this kids issues.
As the kid sobbed his sob story about his passed away mother someone walked up to them
A woman who one could only be assumed was the child’s mother stood behind said kid who was still shedding tears, patting his head unsure of what was making him whine like something that mattered was broken
“Is everything alright?” The mother asked as the child froze turning around spotting her as he wiped his nose.
“Um..Oh..” The kid grew quiet as he got more embarrassed his lie was outed. “Oh mom..”
Liane and cartmans face both stiffened up. Eric snickered a bit, Liane tried to forced herself not to let out a laugh but it resulted in her having a shaky smile. Cartman laughed a bit more “Soo, Your moms dead huh?” He said with a growing grin. Liane let out a quiet snort trying not to laugh and encourage this.
The kids mother grew infuriated and looked down at the kid “What did you say to these two? I died?!” The child looked around and started to try and get himself out of this mess “Uhh no, he’s just angry i got the last 9th megaranger!”
The mom sighed and looked at Liane “Did my boy say anything about me being dead?”
Liane was about to reply, opening her mouth right as Eric whispered “I dunno mom….that mom looks pretty alive to me….”. The brunette couldnt hold it in, she let out a burst of laughter almost dropping Cartman due to it
“Answer my question!” The other mother fussed, wanting to know if her kid misbehaved or not.
Liane took a minute to calm down herself then spoke “Dear im sorry, Ohh, He was saying you died yes, he in fact was crying too” She stood back up, keeping eric in her arms.
Liane had a thought pop into her head, acting it out instantly “Now because of your boy’s little..misbehaving i think my spaghetti deserves the megaranger” she gave the two a smile, Eric internally and externally cheered ready for the megaranger
The other mom took the toy from her child and looked at Liane as her shoulders tensed up “Well, my boy obviously isn’t getting this because he lied, but I think your child started it.”
Liane froze for a moment losing her cool. She breathed slowly then started to dig into her purse as she slowly started to hic “I cant see why you’d think my little sweeet innocent baby wouldve started such a thing!” Liane wiped at her eyes with a tissue from the purse. Cartman made sure to take mental notes with how his mom acted
“I think your child started it because my kid doesnt cry out of nowhere, it doesnt sound like him” The mom responded as she dusted her dress off
“..Then perhaps you dont know your child well enough!” Liane cried gentle tears, continuously wiping them away in a odd rhythm that seemed to be doing some toll on the other mom
There was a period of silence before Liane and Erics wants were given “I-Oh. Um. I..Alright. Go ahead and give them the toy okay?”
The kid huffed and rolled his eyes before walking up to liane and shoving it to her.
The two strangers run off while Liane and her son stood there with smiles
Liane quickly got to the cash register and started to get the megaranger, Eric looked at his mother curiously and whispered to her questions about her acting as she paid the cashier. Once they started to walk out the store, she happily answered his questions then realized
They forgot to buy clothes.
