Mariana lightly groaned as he shuffled over to the door. He blinked a bit, rubbing his eyes as he pushed up his glasses and yawned. He glanced at his communicator for a moment. It was so late, who could be at the door now? He opened the door, huffing. Before he could open his eyes to say anything the sight Infront of him shocked him a bit.
His husband, soaked from the pouring rain, holding himself as he shivered. A bottle of alcohol in his hand, and he was swaying back and forth a bit. Tear tracks down his face. Charlie looked at Mariana, and he blinked a bit.
"Mariana.." he hiccuped, and he sniffled as he went to hug the other. Mariana stared at him with light concern in his eyes.
"¿Eh? Slime..por qué-" he paused, realizing his husband was probably too drunk to read the translator. He tried to think of the correct words in English. "Why are you here?" He finally muttered, and he grimaced lightly at how cold and soaked Charlie was. Though, Charlie didn't reply, he just started to cry. Mariana frowned as he sighed gently. He didn't question why Charlie was crying. He knew his husband was an emotional drunk.
Though it hurt him to see him like this, knowing an addiction was growing in his husband. It was a way to cope for everything that had happened, and when more kept on getting added onto that Charlie kept on trying to drink it all away. "I got you, Cariño, vamos.. necesitas una bañera tibia.." He said in a gentle voice, grabbing the alcohol from his husbands hands and putting it on a table, moving Charlie's arms to be around his neck as he put his own arms under his husband's thighs, picking him up. He headed over to the bathroom, opening the door after a few tries, and pushing through with his back.
He sat his husband down on the toilet, kissing his forehead gently. "Stay here, honey.." he whispered, and he stepped over to the bath to start it. He let it run, turning to leave the bathroom to go grab some clothes for Charlie. But he was stopped as he heard his husband's voice
"No- *hic* no don't leave me.." he cried, and Mariana looked back with a frown on his face. He walked over, and sighed.
"Mi amor, I-" he paused and tried to think. "I need to get ropa- clothes for you..." He tilted Charlie's head up a bit and wiped his tears as he kissed his forehead once again. He waited for Charlie to nod a bit, and go to wipe his own tears.
"Okay.." he hiccuped, and Mariana gently sighed, pulling his hand away and leaving to get clothes for him. He shifted through some of his own clothes, knowing Charlie thought they were comfier. He grabbed them, and walked back to the bathroom placing the clothes down on the counter. He stepped over to the bath, and turned it off checking the temperature. Warm.
"Okay, honey. It is ready.." he stepped over to his husband, and he hummed gently. He started to help Charlie take off his shirt but stepped back as Charlie pushed him away and shook his head.
"No- no..*hic* I can *hic* do it." Mariana hummed, and nodded as he took off his glasses first. He held them as he let Charlie undress. Mariana put them with the pile of clothes he had picked out, and he helped Charlie get into the bathtub. He gently ran a hand through Charlie's hair smiling softly as his husband seemed to settle into the warm water.
He pressed a kiss to his head, simply letting him settle in the bath for a bit. He grabbed a towel, placing it with the clothes. He decided to leave soap out for now, he just wanted him to not be shivering cold from the rain. He sat next to the bathtub, and held his husband's hand rubbing his thumb against his knuckles.
"Mariana.." Charlie muttered gently, hiccuping lightly.
"Yes, baby?" He replied looking at his husband with a soft look in his eyes. Charlie leaned his head closer to him, and Mariana continued to hold his hand as he looked at him with a light frown.
"Do you *hic* hate me?" Charlie asked, a sadness in his tone and glossy eyes looking up at Mariana. Marianas eyes widened, and softened as he frowned.
"¿Qué? No..no I do not hate you, honey. Never.." he squeezed his hand, looking at Charlie with a frown on his face. His heart cracked a bit just hearing his tone, and wondering if Charlie always thought that. That he hated him. Charlie just nodded a bit, and he let out a whiney groan as he grabbed onto Mariana and tried to get out. Mariana stopped him.
"No, no. Un minuto.." he said softly. He stood up, letting go of his hand, and grabbed the towel he had placed to the side. He helped Charlie get out and he helped him dry off, wrapping the towel around him for a bit as he pecked him on the lips. Charlie held onto the towel around him, whining a bit as he swayed and Mariana grabbed the clothes he had gotten for him.
He took the towel from him, and handed him the clothes. "Cambiar- change mi amor." He said softly. Charlie obliged without saying anything. Mariana hung the towel up, and he put Charlie's glasses on his face. Charlie wrapped his arms around him and he sniffled as he clung onto him. Mariana glanced at him, and he ran a hang through his hair. "Vamos, vamos, necesitas dormir.." he gently muttered, once again picking up his husband from his thighs. Charlie seemed to stay clinged to him, arms around his neck and headed leaning against his shoulder.
Mariana walked over to their bedroom, laying Charlie down and putting the covers over him as he changed himself. Charlie held his arms out to him as he was doing so. "Un minuto, estoy cambiando.." he said gently, before he finished and he walked over. He took off his own glasses placing them to the side, and then he took off Charlie's. He laid down next to him, and kissed his forehead. He let his husband cling to him again, and nuzzle his face into his chest.
Mariana gently ran a hand through his hair, and held him close. "Estoy aquí, Cariño.." he whispered softly, kissing the top of his head and rubbing shapes into his back. He made a mental note to remember to get pain killers out for him in the morning. Make him a nice breakfast. Just for his husband. He was going to keep an eye on him for a day or two, make sure he didn't drink too much.
"Te amo, honey.." he said softly, holding him close. He heard Charlie mutter an 'I love you' back and he smiled. He held him close, and closed his eyes.
