Rui is well known for his cracked inventions. And he often uses other people as his test specimen. Making your boyfriend a test specimen was probably not the best idea. But not for Rui. For him it was even sort of... romantic, somehow.
- No, I won't let you use that thing on me even if you put a gun to my head! - Akito mumbled angrily.
- Oh, Shinonome-kun! - Rui's eyes became wet, his face became that sad and dramatic, that Akito wanted to punch him immediately. - How come you are rejecting my offer to be a special guest in my newly invented real life videogame?
- W-what? - Akito's eyes widened. - Since when you started to make videogames? And how is it... a real life videogame? How does it even work?
- Hehe. I see you became interested, don't you? - Rui's face became sly in a moments, like he was never that dramatic before. - Well, you better see by yourself.
- Tell me at least something about it! - Akito looked at him discontently. - Or I will just reject and leave you with that damn game alone!
- No need to be that angry. - Rui reached his head and gave him a small pat, which made Akito's face go insanely red from anger and annoying tickling inside his chest. - You better not to worry so much as you need to stay calm to start this little game.
- Ghh... I didn't even say-
- Hmm? You think you can reject that easy? - Rui leaned closer to him as his face went creepily cunning. Then he reached his pocket. And at that moment Akito realized, that something is wrong about all this thing since the start of their dialogue.
- What is this? - Akito looked at the thing of a triangular shape. - Eek! No, you won't make me agree with THAT!
Rui pulled out a piece of a fresh cheesecake. It wasn't even an ordinary cheesecake that you commonly find in a bakery or grocery. It was some kind of a beautifully served cheesecake, with... What the hell?!
- Did you just said... - Rui's face got filled with biggest grief that he could express. - You will reject my home-made, personally baked cheesecake for you? - tears slowly started to flow from his eyes. It was really a personally cooked cheesecake, there was no doubt. There was a funny drawn Akito's face on it, made with, most likely, a chocolate.
Akito buried his face in his palms. He didn't know if he was facepalming from all this absurdly weird event or hiding an immense blush.
- You... You! - he shouted angrily.
- Hehe. You liked it, didn't you? Well, you can obviously have it even if you reject my game. But my heart... My broken, shattered heart... - Rui put a hand on his chest. - I couldn't expect that from you, Shinonome-kun.
Akito looked at him one more time. He didn't even know how to react. But then, Rui approached him and suddenly gave him a very tight hug.
- Hahaha, your face was unbelievable! - he ruffled his hair, making him squirm and trying to free himself. - Don't worry, I don't plan to force you participating it for a piece of cake. And it's just a piece of it, there is the rest of cheesecake in the fridge. You won't miss it at all.
- Next time I will make sure to prepare a cake by myself, and then I publicly punch it in your face! - Akito looked into his eyes, not even trying to hide his smile.
- I will make sure to put the most pretty apron on you when I find you cooking. Oh, maybe I should buy the one with carrots? What do you think? - Rui looked at him, but suddenly got hugged back.
- And I will make sure to make a carrot cake for you then. - Akito said with snuggling up to him and giving a small laugh.
- Oh don't worry, I will eat it up even if it will be a carrot cake. - Rui gave him a smile and let him go. - Now, about this game. I see you're interested, so I would gladly tell you all about that. - he sat on a chair near his some kind of a weirdly big computer set. - This is, in fact, a real life videogame experience. You get your mind loaded inside the game. And you experience it as you're being in that game in reality. - his face expression changed to his normal interested expression. - Don't worry, this is absolutely safe. You won't get your mind or yourself damaged. This is completely secure.
Akito stood for a bit.
- Why are you telling all that stuff like it's normal? Do you have an intellect and productiveness of NASA supercomputer to build stuff like that or something? - he blinked a few times and scratched the back of his head.
- Hehe. It's completely normal for a tech-involved person to build different extraordinary stuff. So what's your decision after all, Shinonome-kun? - he tilted his head a bit in patience.
Yes, this guy is really freaky about all his inventions. But why would Akito reject if it's safe and secure? He wouldn't disbelieve his boyfriend, after all.
- You know, it even sounds interesting. I'd give it a try. - Akito smiled confidently. And he didn't lie, he was indeed interested in that game.
- Perfect! I didn't doubt you would like that. - Rui gave him his firm cat-like smile and carefully placed a hand on his cheek to give him a slight kiss on it. This made a ginger guy's face going bright red instantly. He felt like he's actually doing a big and important thing for him.
And after some time, Akito got in front of a strange set of joysticks and a screen. There was some kind of 2D platformer game on that screen, and it really looked like fun. He even felt excited by the upcoming experience.
- Now... - Rui finished preparing some stuff with console next to the Akito. - You need to pull those joysticks. Make sure to apply some force, because they are not easy to pull in case someone would make it accidentally. Oh, it's going to be so much fun! - he seemed to be very excited by himself, and Akito could clearly see his face got this creepy grin once again.
- Alright, I start. - as he took a deep breath, Akito pulled the joysticks and right after that, everything went dark.

- Wake up. - the voice sounded somewhere above.
Akito opened his eyes, and instantly closed them again as the bright light hit in them. He slowly got up and opened his eyes again. Everything was incredibly bright and vibrant. It was just like on that screen he saw earlier. The same landscape and colors.
- Hehehe. You look so adorable.
The ginger boy shuddered from this sudden devious voice. He didn't even know why did he feel like that in the first place, but for some reason it was a bit fearsome to hear Rui speaking like that out of nowhere. He looked around for some time, trying to find him, but it was just pointless. He could clearly tell that he wasn't speaking inside his head or something. He was right there, but where? He didn't know.
- Shinonome-kun, you better lift your eyes if you're looking for me.
For some reason Akito felt a bit more scared after he heard that. But he managed to look up.
- Uhh... What the... Why are you so... - Akito got frozen on a place for some time.
There were some big hills or mountains, or whatever above him. And on those mountains... No, not on them. Behind them, Rui was sitting and looking at him in the most sly and even frightening way, in some kind of a bright theatrical clothes and cylinder. Akito even thought that he look pretty handsome. But...
- Why the hell are you so big?! You are bigger than those freaking mountains! - Akito started to move backwards a bit, but suddenly he felt something blocks his way. - What the? There was no wall in there, how the hell did it appear here all of sudden?!
- Hmm, it seems like you didn't realize it. - Rui buried his chin in palms.
- Realize what?! - Akito sounded even more scared by that time. And then he suddenly felt the ground under his feet lifting up rapidly. He fell on the ground and grabbed the grass in iron grip. Now this small part of dirt in a cube shape with him on top of it was floating in the air at the level of Rui's eyes.
- That I am the ruler of this game, of course. - he reached the block of dirt and it suddenly disappeared, leaving Akito falling down in Rui's hand. Thankfully, it was just a small height, and he landed on his gloved hand pretty softly. - Don't you think it makes things much more interesting for us both?
Realizing all this stuff took some time for the poor Akito. After a couple of seconds he finally looked up and met his eyes. Yes, this will be much fun for Rui indeed. But Akito was not sure about himself having fun at all. His thoughts got disturbed by Rui carefully placing his finger on his head in order to pat him.
- So cute! Shinonome-kun, you are so tiny that I want to squeeze you as hard as I can! - Rui's face went a bit, or even more than a bit insane at that point. He tightened his grip and made Akito shiver for a moment. - Hehe. But don't worry, if I squeeze you too much, you still got five spare lives.
- Wh... What?! - Akito's face went completely pale. No way it is what he means by that...
- You heard me. - Rui gave him a big smile and made his grip a bit more tight. - Oh, also. Shinonome-kun, is that true that redheads feel less pain? - he locked his gaze on Akito, waiting for his response. The ginger boy got silent completely, as he was afraid to even open his mouth. - Hehehe. Don't worry, I won't waste your precious five lives. - he finally stopped squeezing him and brought him closer to his face. - Mhm. I know what will be our first game.
- F-first game... there are multiple of them?! So this isn't just some kind of a casual platformer as I thought? - Akito grabbed his finger as he got closer to his face. This was pretty intense moment as Rui was staring at him and suddenly licking his lips from that exciting look of this tiny little guy in his hand. Akito grabbed his hand even more tight as he thought about all the consequences of him agreeing to participate this cursed "game".
- Oh yes! There are a lot of them. I came up with them earlier. - Rui smiled at him thrilling as he said that.
- So, uhh, what are those games? - Akito asked, trying to change the topic before some weird thoughts will cross his insane boyfriend's mind.
- Well, let's start with putting you inside the cannon in order to make you fly as far as you can! - Rui said excitedly and in a few seconds changed the area to make it fit his new game. There were already a cannon and some kind of trampolines and bonus items so his dear loved one could fly and hit his head on a ground as much as possible. He grabbed Akito by his back and quickly put him inside a cannon, firing it up.
- Wait, wait, wait!! WAIT!!! - Akito screamed loudly, pointlessly trying to free himself.
- Goodbye, Akito! - Rui waved to him as the cannon fired and poor redhead started to fly away and hit on the ground, bouncing and sometimes reaching trampolines and items that helped him bouncing and flying much more. Surprisingly, it wasn't even hurt. Maybe a bit sometimes.
- Rui, what the actual hell on earth! Ghh... - he tried to stop himself, but nothing helped. Until finally he stopped bouncing completely. And when he got some free seconds for the rest, he got some kind of bursting confetti around him.
- Congratulations, my sweet Shinonome-kun. You did an impressive job! Let's see if you could hit a new record now! - Rui quickly reached him and grabbed once again.
- Wait, no! Wa-
It happened again. And then a couple of times again. And again. Akito even got used to it and started to enjoy the fly. Yes, hitting his head wasn't the best, but flying and bouncing like that was indeed something that he would never experience outside of this game. But after some time, it finally stopped.
- Hehehe, you're amazing, Shinonome-kun. Look how much score did you get! - Rui pointed on a score table with a proud smile.
- Well, I suppose I didn't do much. I was just, you know, being hit over and over. - Akito scratched the back of his head. It wasn't painful or something, but the fact of him just bouncing and being hit all over was making him smile. It was so hilarious!
- Let's see what we got for you now. Hmm... This simple cannon game wasn't able to put you in some kind of a challenge when you can possibly lose your lives. Maybe we should make things more spicy. - he leaned closer to Akito and gave him a big creepy smile. Akito just jumped on his place and fell on a ground.
- N-no, wait... What's going to happen when I'm out of lives though? - he asked with his heart pounding from the thoughts of what can possibly happen.
- Oh? What's going to happen you ask? - Rui leaned back and looked at him with a strange expression. - What do you think would happen when you're out of lives in a game? - he suddenly quickly leaned close to him again. - The game will be over for you! - his eyes started to glow as he said those words. Akito could feel his heart is going to jump out of his body.
- Uhhh... Alright. - he hesistated a bit before finally calming himself down. There is no way Rui would put him in some kind of a danger for his life anyway. Right? Right! He shouldn't think about that!
- Well well, my sweet Shinonome-kun. I can't wait for you to passing or maybe even failing this game! - Rui grabbed his back and quickly changed the area. Now it looked like some kind of basic platformer game where you should reach the end of a map without getting in traps.
- Does it hurt? - Akito asked, pointing on a spikes out of ground.
- Not really. - Rui gave him a cat-like smile.
- Not really? What does that mean?! - he got a bit angry by that answer.
- Hehehe. You won't feel hurt, don't worry. But getting spikes hitting your butt woulnd't be the best experience after all. - he put the ginger boy on a ground. - Now, let's get started! - Rui buried his chin in palms and started to gaze him impatiently.
Akito swallowed and looked at the way in front of him. This is going to be tough...
And then, he started to jump. And his jump was hella high!
- Wow, what? - he got surprised as he did his first jump. - I will need to get used to that. - he jumped over the first spike trap successfully. - It's looking good so far... - but he suddenly got caught by another spike trap that popped off the ground. - Wha-
And then everything went dark.
- Welcome back, Shinonome-kun!
Akito opened his eyes, the voice was behind him. He looked back and saw Rui's face right in front of him. - Argh!! Dude, you scared me...
- Oya? I was just laying here, waiting for you to respawn. I didn't mean to scare you. - he smiled innocently.
- Fine, fine. But there is a question. - Akito looked at him a bit angrily. - Why does my butt hurt?!
- Hmm... - Rui thought for a few seconds. - I guess it's because I made your body not getting any pain, but forgot to make your butt not getting it as well! - he smiled again. Akito just straight up punched him in the nose. Of course Rui barely felt anything as their size difference was too big. - Hehehe. You're so cute! Don't you afraid I will punch you back? - he moved his hand to Akito and stopped it right in front of him.
- Uhh! No, don't punch me... - but Rui punched him slightly, making him falling on the ground. He didn't feel hurt or anything, but it made him even more angry. - You! - he jumped and suddenly bit his nose with all his power. Then he moved back and looked in his eyes. - I wish I could throw you into those spikes to make you land right on your butt as well.
But then Rui leaned closer. Akito felt that he did something that he shouldn't do.
- Oh, Shinonome-kun... - he whispered, and started to breath heavier. - Did you just bite me? Don't you afraid I will bite you back? - he placed his hand behind Akito so he would have no room to move backwards. Akito looked around and realized that it's just over. This was quite a stupid revenge from him indeed. He desperately nestled in his palm, trying to protect himself with his arms. But Rui evilishly leaned closer and closer to him, until Akito could feel his breath on him. And then...
And then he just kissed his little body.
- Hehe. Enjoy your revenge, Shinonome-kun. - he leaned back and put his hand back as well, leaving Akito absolutely shocked with super bright red face.
- Alright, I'll take it. - Akito said as he looked away and calmed his breathing. He didn't mind a small kiss at all!
And after a bit of time, he finally started to try this game again. He managed to remember this trap, and successfully jumped over it, then ran to another platform and jumped on it, and as soon as he jumped again, he noticed that the platform he landed on a moment ago just moved, and if he didn't jump, he would just fall straght into another spike trap. Once he landed again, he made sure he jumped as fast as he could, doesn't paying attention to what's being further...
And he fell straight into some hole in the earth.
- Hmm. You got three more lives. Be careful with those, Shinonome-kun! - Rui just gave him another cheesy smile as he respawned again.
Akito took a deep breath.
- Well, I see you're challenging me, huh? I will complete it no matter what! - he got some more confidence as he started to understand this game. And then he quickly started another run.
He made his way past his well known traps, then a bit more way further. And he stopped to catch his breath. This was feeling like real life running and jumping indeed! What an amazing experience after all!
- I see you're enjoying it, don't you? - Rui asked with his cunning manner.
- Sorta. - Akito said as he started to run and jump again.
This... This happened.
He reached the finish! He did it!
- Oh, my goodness! Contratulations! - Rui started to applaud him with extremely happy face. He was really proud of him! - My precious boy just completed the first level!
- The first level? There is another ones?! - Akito asked surprised.
- Yes, correct! - Rui's face became fearsomely excited. - Now, let's begin the second one! - he waved his hand and the area changed, Akito found himself at the start again. This time... It looked much more difficult. With new traps and some kind of parkour blocks.
- Alright, alright. There is no way I lose this one. - Akito said as he took a deep breath and prepared for the another run. Somehow he started to feel much more excited with a new difficulty level!
And then, he started to run and jump again. He made his way past most of the traps, and stopped for a bit to catch his breath another time. But then he looked back...
And got hit by some kind of a big fire ball.
- Oh no, you only got two spare lives left. - Rui made a sad face. - Please make sure to be more careful! - he rested his head on the hand and looked at Akito dramatically.
- Alright. Now I got it. No more rest. Just straight up running until the very end. - Akito looked more confident as he was enjoying the challenge. But only two lives... That was concerning him a lot. He didn't want to lose! And didn't want to find what is going to happen when the game is over!
He started the new run. He did his way past previous traps, he dodged this damned fire ball and ran further and further.
- Come on, Shinonome-kun! You can do it! - Rui was cheering him from the bottom of his heart. He really believed in him!
Akito kept running and jumping as much as he could. He ran more and more until he finally jumped last time and landed right into the finish area.
- Yes! - Rui started to applaud him. - You're wonderful!
Akito really felt proud of himself. He turned his head to Rui and smiled. He was enjoying this game a lot! What an incredible work his boyfriend did after all! And again, Rui waved his hand and the area changed, and Akito got at the same start again. And now the map looked extremely difficult, like it could be barely passed. Akito felt his heart started to pound faster. He was ready to accept this challenge! He could do this!
He started to run along with Rui cheering him up. He did it so well! His movements were perfectly clean. Akito was really proud of himself. But he needed to focus on the game, not on him being so good, because...
His face met with some kind of a spiky boulder.
- What a pity... You got one last try. - Rui looked at him with some fearsome, maybe even a bit dreadful look. It was feeling like Akito is getting even smaller than he is when Rui is gazing at him in that way.
- Don't try to scare me. I said I will pass it. No matter what. - he standed up and looked in Rui's eyes confidently. It was an amazing sight, as he is so small and powerless looking into his eyes, like a small hero looking on the final boss before defeating him. Rui smiled even more cunning as he found his ginger boyfriend being so adorably mentally strong.
- I believe in you, Akito. - he said in a sudden earnest tone. - Because if you lose... - he leaned closer, making Akito losing his confidence for a bit. - You will get very, very surprised. - he whispered with an incredibly frightening tone, making a redhead moving backwards a bit. But he suddenly stood still, looking straight into his eyes once more.
- You won't scare me, you little goof. I said I will do it, got it? - he said as he even stepped closer to him, making Rui a bit surprised.
- Alright. But I will give you a tip from now. Remember one thing. - Rui's face became innocent for a bare second, and he leaned as close as he could. - Watch your step. Every time. Even if you think it's over. Always be aware. - he leaned back after his speech and gave Akito a small pat on the head with his two fingers, then gave him a small kiss again. Akito blushed so much that even his ears became red. It's not even because of the fact of kissing, it's mostly because he's being so tiny and when he is kissed in that size, it feels so pleasantly unusual, it gave him goosebumps.
- Okay. Now, I will go and show you everything I've got. - Akito gave him one last look before he jumped from his place and started another big run. He made his way through the first third part of the map, feeling his heart is racing incredibly, but it was no time to relax, he speeded himself up in order to make sure he won't accidentally lose the ground. He already made the halfway. He saw himself almost missing the platform, and his heart skipped a beat. Then it was just so close to the finish... He made another jump, and another one, and then... it's just one more before completing. He can do this. He can! He passes the last trap. And now he is on the finish spot. He did it? Finally? His heart started to beat extremely much, and he smiled and started to laugh. But then he looked up. The map didn't finish there. There was a way further. Is that mean?..
He felt the ground disappearing under his feet. And he started to fall down, in the darkness.
It was over. He lost.
Until he felt his back was caught by Rui's fingers.
- I... I lost. - he said as he got lifted and then looked up into Rui's eyes. Those eyes were full of some kind of sick joy all of sudden. Akito felt that something is going to be really wrong about it.
- Don't be so sad, Shinonome-kun. You've tried your best. - Rui whispered to him, bringing him closer to his face.
- Mhm. And now, why didn't you leave me fall? Would it damage me or something? - Akito asked him in a serious tone.
- Damage you? - Rui's eyes widened. - No. I said this game won't damage you. And after all, it's not over yet. You still have your last life. - his face became insane at that point. - But you almost fell down, so I don't want to cheat and let you live. I just didn't want to make your death so... non-dramatic, I'd say. - he looked at Akito as he was going to perform something weird. Something really weird would happen now. Akito could say it by the look in his eyes.
- Uhh. Do you really need to give me some kind of dramatic death now? - Akito squirmed a bit, feeling his whole spirit is filling with some kind of fear.
- Of course I need. I need it from the bottom of my heart! - Rui lifted him up and looked straight into his eyes. - Now say goodbye, Shinonome-kun. - he licked his lips in anticipation, gazing at him like he is going to claim his life for real.
- Wait, don't say you're going to do something like this... - Akito froze, feeling his body got completely stunned, as he looked down at Rui's sadistic smirk.
- Goodbye, Akito! Your game is over! - as he said that, he opened his mouth and brought him closer. Akito almost screamed from this turn of events and tried to move himself in the air. But after a few seconds, Rui weakened his grip, and then let him go completely. As poor Akito fell down, he immediately closed his jaws and swallowed. Yes, this was... Kind of dramatic death.
- Hehehe. Shinonome-kun, you actually taste like those cakes you usually eat. You're so sweet! - Rui looked incredibly happy, as he was waiting for this moment to happen. He was very surprised that Akito made his way through this game so far, and even felt a bit sad that he lost at the very end, even with his helpful tip. But he will get a lot of time to finally complete this game later.

- Mhmm... Am I back? - Akito opened his eyes. He was sitting on the same chair, in front of the same joysticks and screen.
- Indeed, you're back! - he heard Rui's voice and felt his hands on his own shoulders.
- Oh, alright. - he wiped the sweat from his forehead. - I actually feel tired. It was really intense.
- Hehe. Of course, I said it would be real life experience, and I didn't lie. So your body is really exhausted now, isn't it?
- Well, sorta. I won't call it exhausted. Just a bit tired. - Akito said and touched Rui's hand on his shoulder. Of course he was hellishly exhausted, not just "a bit" tired!
- Did you like that after all? - Rui asked with an intrigued look.
- Yeah, cool thing. - Akito closed his eyes for a moment. This was really great and unusual! - I actually don't mind playing it sometimes.
- Even with performing such a dramatic deaths for you? - Rui asked and crossed his arms on Akito's chest. The latter rolled his eyes and let out a sigh.
- The next time I will bring a pack of lettuce in this game. And make sure I will put it in your mouth as soon as you open it in order to try to do this again. - he said and placed his hands on Rui's arms.
- Hehehe. I'm sorry, but you won't be able to bring lettuce here. But maybe I will give you a chance to revenge. If I will have a mood for that. - he said with such a happy voice that even Akito smiled from it.
Yeah, that was definitely a great game. And Akito would be glad to try it again another time, even despite all those nasty teasings.
