Summary
Jay was number 74. No one came after him. But there was someone before him, number 73, the one he did everything with.
They said, one day, he would be paired with another 74. It was required. There were less than two hundred people left in South Korea alone, even fewer in other places where others survived. The world needed to repopulate. He could only do that with another number 74.
The thing was, Jay didn’t want anyone else. He only wanted 73.
