   Stede and Ed have spent the day on a fruitless treasure hunt (well, apart from the orange). But it definitely wasn't a waste of time. They spent the day together. They enjoyed each other's company. And now, they're co-Captains.

   Now Ed feels itchy. Not from the mosquito bites, itchy under his skin. This whole day, combined with Lucius' bold and scathing warning, have only intensified the weird feelings he's been having recently. He's decided it's time to act.
