Work Text:

Kathleen Wells smiled cheerfully as she returned to her rather unique home. Since it served as a shortcut between realities and the Ghost Zone, she never felt she was merely a resource to her children or the Ancients. Kathleen was indeed both the Masters and Fentons' children's second mother. She strived to be a good mother and friend. She remained eternally grateful for being given such a wonderful life and amazing kids.
She shut the door, and the dial by the door switched from pink to black. No one except her knew where the black dial led. If you did ask her, she only says it led to her 'haven.' This was true since she'd been given creative freedom to create a small realm all her own. Which she was about to return to. However, she needed to gather a few things and feed her kitten first.
After using the restroom and feeding her kitten, she grabbed her journal before heading out to her haven. It was a wonderful place, an endless meadow of brightly colored flowers, a gentle breeze, twilight skies, and soft nature sounds. She breathed in the heavenly scents before going to her favorite spot and stretching and inhaling the fresh mountain air. She then started to write in her journal.
"Every day, I'm thankful for being alive. Every day I'm grateful for my family. Thank the Ancients and the Almighty for giving me such a perfect life. I'm a blessing to all five children. Since they literally do have a second mom to be there when Maddie cannot be. I love them all unconditionally, and Maddie is still my best friend and virtually my sister. I also love my job writing an advice column.
Doing it for two newspapers and posting them on a blog is challenging. But I enjoy it very much. I do hope to have a coffee date with Maddie Fenton soon. I'm sure she could use some time away from Jack and having a friend. Like Maddie Masters, Maddie Fenton told me I'm more of a sister to her then Alicia is. So again, I'm thankful for that. I want to bring more awareness and not just advice in my column. It's also again nice to be able to do a blog.
I do hope things continue to go swimmingly for both sets of children. That both Jazz and Charlie learn to chill out and enjoy their childhood. I also hope the teachers at Casper High finally start addressing Danny's learning disability properly. Perhaps, Maddie Fenton likes to go shopping? I know she seldom gets out of her hazmat suit, but she might still enjoy some bargain hunting all the same. Either way?
I look forward to what each day will bring.
I should get back to work on my column and blog. I'll need both finished and edited adequately by the of the day. I only hope my bosses aren't mad at me. Well, till next time!" as she closed her journal before heading back to the small cottage connected to her interdimensional house.
