   Summary

   Maysilee Price was named for a girl who died years ago, and now she's headed off to die for herself.

   Armed with nothing but memories of her childhood and a boy she knows from home, Maysilee is not expected to do well in The Hunger Games. Fellow twelve-year-old tributes, Rue and Prim, ally with Maysilee and her district partner, Reed. Over the course of the following days and weeks, Maysilee and her allies grow close to one another, and form bonds that never would've been likely otherwise.

   But this is a game of loss and pain. There is no room for love, and the space alloted for friendship is minimal. Who will survive? And, of course, the biggest question: who can Maysilee trust?
