Work Text:

Hyunjin has enjoyed drawing and painting for as long as he could remember. It was soothing to him and a nice way to wind down from the stresses of his day job. Hyunjin tended to enjoy painting things with a romantic aura, loving how he could express the feeling of love through his work.

He never thought too much about painting or drawing the boys, he always preferred photos or stagnant objects for the most part. Not to mention he knew it could take a couple of hours to finish and he didn’t want to subject his boyfriends to the pain of sitting still for hours on end.

But recently the idea of drawing people in everyday life and motion became more and more appealing to Hyunjin.

Hyunjin was sitting on the couch in the younger boy’s (and Minho’s) dorm. The other dorm was currently filled with 3Racha being rowdy as always, comparitably this dorm had no one else there.

A loud bang from the kitchen reminded Hyunjin that, never mind, Felix was also here. Felix was currently working on some baked goods, they had an award show coming up and Felix always liked to pass out treats to the staff and other idols.

Hyunjin peaked his head into the kitchen, finding Felix picking up a sheet pan that had fallen onto the floor. The younger man doesn’t seem to notice Hyunjin as he makes his way around the kitchen, still working on his baked goods.

An idea comes across Hyunjin’s mind and he is quick to pull out his phone. He snaps a few quick photos of Felix, smiling before scrolling through the pictures and finding the best one.

The photo he chose was a photo of Felix from the side rolling out the dough for his sugar cookies, a new recipe he was resting out. Hyunjin loved how focused he looked on his baking, smiling a little before heading back to the living room.

He tossed his sketchbook on the couch when he checked on Felix. When he gets back to the couch he retrieves it before flipping through a few pages to find a blank one. He grabs his art supplies and moves to the dining table, needing a better surface to draw on instead of his lap.

He pulled up the photo and started sketching it. Every once in a while, Hyunjin hears small noises coming from the younger boy and the kitchen but he just smiles and continues with his work.

He gets through most of the sketches before starting on his watercolors. He carefully works on the colors, making sure they don’t bleed over into other sections of the drawings. He was happy with how it was turning out, giving the page a second to dry a little as he mixes the next color he was needing.

It had been nearly four hours before Hyunjin neared finishing the painting. He was doing a few touch-ups here and there before finally setting down his brush. He would have to let it dry before going back in with smaller details but for now, it looked great.

And with good timing too, “Hyunjin! I just finished baking everything, can you help me pack it all away.” Felix calls, poking his head over to the dining table.

“Of course my love,” Hyunjin replies with a soft smile, putting his art supplies away and getting up from the table.

Hyunjin enters the kitchen and is shocked to find nearly every surface covered in newspaper with cookies on top of them all. Felix’s brownies were set on the stovetop, cooling before they could be cut up and tucked away as well.

“You have been busy.” Hyunjin comments, glancing around the room.

“So have you.” Felix chuckles, taking his thumb and wiping it across Hyunjin’s cheek where some watercolor managed to make its way up there.

Hyunjin smiles at the boy, letting his hands rest against his sides, “You always look so cute when you bake.”

Felix smiles, looking down a little as he responds, “Well you look just as cute when you paint.”

Hyunjin lifts a hand underneath Felix’s chin, nudging the boy to look up at him. Hyunjin lets his hand move from underneath the younger boy’s chin to resting on the side of his face, his fingers barely brushing against Felix’s hair.

Hyunjin leans down a little without hesitation, capturing Felix’s lips against his own. The kiss was soft as the two boys melted into each other. Felix’s hands play with the hem of Hyunjin’s shirt as the two proceed to make out in the kitchen.

Soon enough Felix pulls back, a goofy smile on his lips, “As fun as that was, we should probably get these cookies put away before the boys get back.”

Hyunjin nods, “You’re right, I’m sorry you’re just so cute I got carried away,” Hyunjin smiles before giving a quick peck to the younger boy’s cheek.

With that the two boys finally separate and work on collecting up all the cookies before cutting up the brownies and putting them away as well.

Felix later discovered the painting and smiled at the sight of it. He always admired Hyunjin’s talent.

---------------------------------

Hyunjin didn’t know how he let himself get wrapped up in this.

Well, technically he did. All the boys wanted to go out on their day off and Hyunjin did too. But everyone already had plans to do things with different members and for the first time Hyunjin didn’t want to sit alone at home today.

So that’s how he found himself at the gym, working out with his hyungs, Chan, Minho, and Changbin.

He honestly doesn’t know why he decided to torture himself today but that’s just how it went he guessed.

Hyunjin tried his best to keep up with his hyungs, and he was able to… during the warm-ups. He could handle the push-ups just fine, the squats were killer on his leg but still, he succeeded, the planks were tough but manageable. He started to lose a little steam when they started getting further in, more specifically when they started working with weights.

Weight lifting wasn’t really Hyunjin’s strong suit, he preferred Pilates and lower-intensity workouts. But that didn’t mean he wouldn’t try his hardest to keep up with the other boys. He struggled his way through some curls and shoulder presses, but finally called it quits when it came to bench press.

“I’m going to get a drink of water, you guys keep going.” Hyunjin manages out between heavy breaths.

He makes his way over to his bag where his water bottle was tucked away. He glances over to see Changbin loading up his weights on the barbell Hyunjin just finished with. It was impressive how much weight Changbin was adding, which made sense considering Hyunjin only had 40 kg total on the barbell.

Hyunjin took a big drink of his water, still breathing heavily as he watches the older boy get set on the bench. Chan stood behind him, spotting him and Changbin pulled up the bar, freeing it from its resting place. Hyunjin could never get over how nice Changbin’s muscles looked when he was working out, he had a thing for his big arms after all.

Hyunjin smiles, digging out his phone before snapping a few photos of the boy. He had scanned through the photos, favoriting one where Changbin had the bar nearly down to his chest, his veins showing very prominent on his forearms.

Hyunjin smiled down at the picture, thinking this would be a good photo to paint but sadly he didn’t have his supplies with him. With another drink from his water bottle, he puts both the bottle and the phone back in his bag. He makes, his way up on his feet and back towards his hyungs who were still wrapped in their workouts.

After another exhausting hour at the gym, the four older boys make their way back to the dorms. The boys were quick to fight for the shower in their dorms, to which Hyunjin just grabbed his art supplies and a change of clothes and snuck over to the other dorm before Minho wised up and went over to their first.

After a quick shower, and having to borrow some of Seungmin’s bath products, Hyunjin was finally changed and cleaned once more. He opens the door to find Minho waiting outside the bathroom with a shake of his head.

“Couldn’t you shower in your own dorm?”

“Not my fault you didn’t think to do this sooner.” Hyunjin teases before walking past the boy. Hyunjin didn’t want to go over to his dorm, knowing by this point Jisung was back and they would soon interrupt into a long conversation about the next album.

So Hyunjin once again found himself sitting at the dining table as he pulled out his art supplies. He unlocks his phone and pulls up the photo of Changbin he’d wanted to paint. Taking his time he works carefully on the sketching before going in with his watercolor.

He both loved and hated all the intricacies that came with the photo but hoped he did the picture justice nonetheless. It took a couple of hours, and in that time I.N. Seungmin and Felix made their way back to their dorm. They had taken peaks at the painting Hyunjin had been working on but knew better than to interrupt the boy.

Eventually, the painting was in a place that Hyunjin was happy with it, setting it to the side for a moment while he cleaned up the table. With everything put away, Hyunjin headed back over to his dorm.

When he walks back in he’s greeted with a warm smile from Changbin, “Hey Jinnie, I was wondering where you disappeared off too.”

Hyunjin smiles while taking a seat next to the older boy, “I had to recuperate after that crazy workout you dragged me through.”

“You survived at least, now you can come to the gym with us more,” Changbin says, wrapping an arm around Hyunjin and pulling him into his chest.

Hyunjin chuckles, “Yeah that’s going to be a hard pass, hyungie.”

“Suit yourself.” Changbin shrugs, “So what did you get up to after the gym? You were gone for a few hours.”

“I was at the other dorm, painting. Would you like to see it?”

“Of course, baby. I always love seeing your art.”

Hyunjin dug around in his bag before his hand found his sketchbook, pulling it out. It takes a second to flip to the right page before he passes over to his boyfriend.

Changbin looks over the photo with a smile, “Wow, this looks amazing, Jinnie!”

“You really think so? I tried to capture you the best I could.”

“Yeah, I do, Jinnie.” Changbin says before placing a kiss on his forehead, “I always love everything you paint.”

“Thank you, Hyungie,” Hyunjin responds, cuddling further into the older boy. They stay like that for a little while longer, enjoying each other’s embrace after a long and intensive day.

---------------------------------

It wasn’t too often Hyunjin went a long time without any contact from Jisung. He was the one in the group that just always seemed constantly around or was just checking up on you. It was rare to go a day without a couple of texts or snaps from the boy. Which made it weird that Hyunjin hadn’t heard from him since 5 am.

It was almost 3 pm.

He knew the boys had gone to the studio early this morning but even then Jisung would still reach out. Hell, the number of times Hyunjin would get texts begging for him to bring the three of them food was all too common.

So radio silence from the boy had Hyunjin worried.

Hyunjin told himself he was just going to practice their newest dance and if he just happened to have the time he would check to see if Jisung was okay. Of course, he would have time.

So that’s how Hyunjin found himself tossing on his shoes and throwing his bag over his shoulder, rushing out the door. The walk to the studio was a familiar one, luckily there wasn’t too much foot traffic at this time either.

He doesn’t even bother stopping by the dance studio first, immediately heading in the direction of the recording studio as soon as he walks into the building. Hyunjin hesitates for a second before knocking.

He was always unsure if his surprise visits would be deemed annoying or unnecessary. He knows that the guys never really took issue with him stopping by but it didn’t mean he worried any less. Eventually, he works up the nerve, lightly tapping on the door.

It takes a second for the door to open, revealing Chan who offers him a smile.

“What brings you by, Jinnie?” He asks, taking a step to the side to let Hyunjin enter.

“Oh well…” What was Hyunjin’s reasoning again? Oh right, “I was going to get some practice in but I wanted to check on you guys before I did.”

“I see.” Chan nods, “We have been locked up in here for a long time. But I promise we’ve eaten today and we were about to wrap it up. One of us already has actually.”

Chan gestures a hand to where Jisung was sprawled across the couch, dead asleep. Well, that explained the lack of texts at least.

“Yeah, he must have worked himself to death, you all must have,” Hyunjin replies.

“Yeah, speaking of which we were about to head home so maybe we should wake him.” Changbin chimes in.

Chan nods, making a move toward Jisung before Hyunjin jumps in.

“Maybe we should let him rest. I’m sure he’s tired and I doubt he’ll be able to fall back to sleep that easily. You guys go home, I can keep an eye on him.”

“You sure? I thought you wanted to get some extra dance practice in.” Chan reminds the boy.

“Oh, that? It’s fine, I’ll just work on it later after he wakes up.”

“Well okay then, if you insist.” Changbin mutters out, moving to his feet to gather his things, “Also when he does wake up, make sure he eats something, it’s been a while since we had lunch. I’m sure he’ll be hungry when he gets up anyways.”

Hyunjin nods to his Hyung and the two boys gather their things and file out of the room. Hyunjin takes a seat in one of the chairs, spinning in it a little before stopping himself. He digs into his bag and finds his sketchbook and a few pencils.

It would be a good way to pass the time until Jisung woke up.

Hyunjin opens up his sketchbook to a blank page, setting his pencils across it to mark the page in case the book shuts on him. Hyunjin pulls out his phone and starts scrolling through to find some inspiration. Nothing sticks out to him, there wasn’t anything he was super interested in drawing that he could find.

He gives up on the phone, tucking away in his pocket once more. Hyunjin rests his head on his hand, thinking of what he could draw. His eyes find themselves on the sleeping Jisung.

He was wearing a hat that was almost half off his head by this point and was cuddled into one of the throw pillows, still very far off in dreamland.

Hyunjin smiles, moving to grab one of his pencils. He takes his time sketching out the general shape of Jisung before going back into it with more detail. Drawing from a live model was a lot easier when the said model was dead asleep and barely moving.

It takes a couple of hours but Hyunjin finishes up his last few pencil strokes, finally pleased with the amount of detail he was able to pour into it. With good time too as Jisung seemed to start squirming in his sleep more, finally waking up from his nap.

For a few seconds, Jisung was groggy and trying to make out where he was. He was quick to process that he was in the recording studio and then his eyes fell on Hyunjin, a little surprised it was him and not another member of 3Racha.

“Jinnie-Hyung? What are you doing here?”

Hyunjin jumps, a little surprised to see the younger boy had finally woken up. A smile quickly spreads across his face, “Well our other two boyfriends asked me to watch you while you napped. They said they were wrapping up for the day and I told them I would watch you until you woke up.”

Jisung nods, stretching out his stiff muscles from falling asleep on a couch.

“What are you busy drawing?” Jisung asks.

“Just a certain sleepy boy,” Hyunjin responds, moving to sit next to the younger boy. He passes over the sketchbook for Jisung to look at. Jisung took a second to let his sleepy eyes scan over the paper before a smile spread across his face.

“Is that what I look like when I sleep?”

“Yes, yes it is, Hannie.”

“I look like a mess.”

“Yes, you do.” Hyunjin chuckles before pulling the boy in for a hug, giving a quick kiss to his temple, “My mess.”

---------------------------------

It was the first time in ages that all eight of the boys had free time to do something as a group. Normally they’d want to lounge around the house or do a movie marathon together, just wanting to relax from the stressful schedules.

But today they had other plans.

All the boys wanted to get out of the dorms for the day and do something they hadn’t done in a while. Chan had the bright idea for all of them to do a pickup basketball game, to which everyone agreed.

They make it to the recreation center and rent out one of the gyms for a couple of hours. Once inside they all toss their bags to the side and divide up into teams.

Chan, Jisung, I.N., and Hyunjin are on one team and Minho, Felix, Changbin, and Seungmin make up the other.

For the next hour or so the boys play against each other, the game getting a little rowdy at times without an official referee. The boys had fun nonetheless as they kept trying to score points against each other.

After some time the boys started to get tired and paused the game to get some water. Everyone sits down and takes a quick breather starting up small conversations about the game.

Slowly a couple of the boys get back up, messing around a little with each other while the others continue their rest. Hyunjin watched as Minho and Chan started up a game of ‘HORSE’ together. Hyunjin smiles over at the two boys before pulling out his phone.

He snaps a few photos of the boys as they played around, but one photo stuck out to him. It was a photo of Chan in the middle of his jump shot. He was in midair and the ball was just another second before sliding right into the net. Hyunjin favorited the photo before snapping a few more pictures. After the two boys finished up their impromptu game the rest of the boys joined back in as they started up another game.

They were at the rec center for another two hours or so before they called it quits. They stopped off to get some quick food before heading back to their dorms to relax for the rest of their day off.

Hyunjin made himself comfy on his dorm’s couch, his bag of art supplies sat beside him. Chan and Felix were also hanging out in the living room with him. They had spread out onto the other couch, putting on a movie as they cuddled together and watched it.

Hyunjin pulled out his sketchbook, balancing it on his thighs before pulling up the photo of Chan from earlier in the day. The movie was a nice background noise as he worked on sketching out Chan. He was mostly working on getting all the details and everything sketched out first, he could come back and watercolor it later.

Before he knows it the movie is rolling credits as Hyunjin finishes up the last few details on the drawing. He was going over all the wrinkles on Chan’s clothes, making sure he got all of it when he felt a head place itself on his shoulder as a pair of arms find their way around Hyunjin.

“And what is my Jinnie drawing today?” Chan’s voice rings out in his ear.

“You, actually,” Hyunjin says, tilting the book so Chan could get a better view of it.

“Wow! Is this from today? When did you even have a chance to do that?”

“I might have taken a couple of pictures when you were doing your one-on-one game with Lino-hyung,” Hyunjin explains.

“Well it looks amazing, you really got all the details in there.”

“I tried my best to, but it’s still not done, I will probably color it in at some point.”

“Well, I think it looks great either way,” Chan says, placing a kiss on Hyunjin’s cheek.

The two boys stay like that for a little while, cuddled up into each other. Chan praises his work and even goes as far as to point out small details Hyunjin was surprised the boy had even caught. Chan always knew how to make him feel loved.

---------------------------------

Hyunjin let out a sigh as he fell onto the couch in the younger boy’s (and Minho’s) dorm. It was a long day of practice and he couldn’t go back to his dorm, especially after how rowdy Jisung was being on their way home. He was thankful for the quiet that had surrounded him for a moment.

But of course, it was only for a moment as the other members burst into the dorm room, loud conversations ensuing once more.

“I am totally being your ass in Mario Kart tonight!” Felix shouts as he enters the dorm.

Hyunjin quickly realizes the comment was not meant for him as I.N. replies, walking in behind the Aussie.

“You say that every time and every time I beat you.”

“I win sometimes!” Felix fires back.

“Yeah, sometimes,” I.N. responds.

“Will you two shut up and go shower!”Minho groans, clearly as exhausted from the day as Hyunjin was.

Minho didn’t bother waiting for a response as he makes his way down the hall and off towards his room. Hyunjin could chuckle at how fast the room had fallen silent. It only stayed silent for another second or two before I.N. and Felix glanced between each other and raced down the hall.

The room stayed quiet for the next few minutes, Felix and I.N. were off taking a shower, and Minho had yet to peek his head out of his room since he first entered. Hyunjin knew it was probably a good idea for him to shower as well. Begrudgingly he got up from his comfy spot on the couch and made his way across the hall to his dorm room.

Luckily the other three boys seemed to be calmed down, seeing as when Hyunjin walked in everyone was already tucked away in their dorms. Hyunjin quickly heads to his room, gathering up clothes before hopping in the shower.

Hyunjin quickly showered before returning to his room, tossing his dirty laundry in his basket. Hyunjin decides it’s a good time to wind down and relax, and what better way to relax than to draw? Hyunjin walks over to his desk, searching around for his sketchbook when it hits him.

He forgot his sketchbook in his bag, which was most likely still laying on the couch in the other dorm. With a small sigh, Hyunjin walks back across the hall to retrieve his sketchbook.

When he walks in he finds I.N. and Felix in the middle of a Mario Kart race with Seungmin watching from beside them.

“Oh hey, Hyungie, what brings you over here?” Seungmin greets.

“I forgot my bag over here, I just came to take it back to my dorm,” Hyunjin explains, moving over to grab his bag.

“Why don’t you stay for a little bit, you can play the next round of Mario Kart with us,” Felix asks.

“Yeah, please Hyung,” I.N. adds, glancing over to the older boy with a smile.

“Well… I guess I could stay a little longer. But how about I just watch you play? I wanted to work on drawing a little.”

“Fair enough,” I.N. responds.

Hyunjin nods, moving to take a seat on the couch next to his bag, reaching inside and digging out his sketchbook and pencils. Hyunjin scrolls through his phone for a minute, trying to find a good photo to use as inspiration.

When nothing seems to pique his interest he glances over to the two boys who were wrapped up in another round. Seungmin had left already, going off to most likely play his own game or maybe get some sleep.

Hyunjin smiles at how focused I.N. looked. Without any hesitation, Hyunjin opens up his camera and snaps a few photos of the maknae. He takes a second, deciding on his favorite one.

I.N. had his eyes locked on the TV, hands clutching the controller tight as he leaned forward towards the TV. A small smile was spread across I.N.’s face, Clearly, he was in the lead.

Hyunjin was pleased with the picture and started working on a rough sketch of the image. He tried his hardest to catch all the little details from the controller to what was on display on the TV in the background. He tried to capture the little spark in I.N.’s eye or the joy that I.N. was feeling at that moment.

He sat there for a few hours, just working through the drawing as the two boys continued playing their games. Eventually, they got tired of playing Mario Kart and switched over to a different game, Hyunjin didn’t pay attention to catch what game it was.

Hyunjin was on the last little details of the controller when he hears the younger boy let out a sigh.

“I think it’s time I headed to bed, it’s getting pretty late,” Felix announced, placing his controller on the table. The two other boys nod and offer a simple ‘goodnight’ before Felix leaves the room.

“I think I should do the same too, Innie.” Hyunjin comments, stretching a little from his place on the couch.

“Yeah, I think it’s pretty unanimous,” I.N. responds, already turning off his gaming system.

Hyunjin nods, starting to gather up his pencils. Without realizing it at first he noticed his Sketchbook wasn’t where he had set it aside w few seconds before. He glances over to the maknae who had the sketchbook in his hands, his eyes wide.

“Do you like it?” Hyunjin asks, knowing the book was still open on the page he was just working on.

“Yeah, how’d you do that? I’m sure I didn’t sit still enough for you to do all that.” I.N. comments.

“I took a photo of you. A live model is a lot harder, especially when the said model isn’t sitting still.”

“Or when they don’t know it’s happening.” I.N. adds, passing the sketchbook back over to Hyunjin, “But it does look amazing.”

“Well thank you, Innie.” Hyunjin responds, giving a quick kiss to the younger boy, “Now, I think I’m going to head back to my dorm and get some rest.”

“Can I join you?” I.N. asks.

“Of course, anything for my maknae,” Hyunjin responds, tossing an arm around I.N.’s shoulders. Together the two walk over to the other dorm and get comfortable in Hyunjin’s bed. They fall asleep cuddled into each other.

---------------------------------

Minho had dragged Hyunjin off to the dance studio, wanting to work on their newest song together. Hyunjin never had minded helping the other boys with their dances or going over new choreography. It always felt like the practice room has become almost like a second home to Hyunjin.

So that’s how he found himself an hour into practicing with Minho with no end in sight. They had moved on from working on their newest song to reworking a few of their older songs.

Some of it was little adjustments to make the steps flow a little better or just trying to remember how an older song’s dance went in the first place. Hyunjin had taken a break to catch his breath and get a drink of water. He sat against the mirror, watching Minho as he was dancing to one of their older songs.

Hyunjin was watching over him, one to make sure he wouldn’t overdo it and two to catch any of the mistakes he makes in the choreography. Hyunjin always loved to watch Minho dance, it was always so amazing how he could just slightly tweak the choreography and make it look that much better.

Hyunjin pulled out his phone, deciding to sneak a few photos of the older boy. It was always decently hard to capture good photos, especially when they are dancing. But Hyunjin was pleasantly surprised when looking through the photos he took and finding a good one.

Minho had his hands tucked in front of him, his legs slightly apart, and his eyes locked onto the mirror. A few strands of his hair fell into his face, a few of them sticking to his forehead from sweat.

Hyunjin wanted to try to draw this picture, and luckily enough he had tucked his sketchbook and a few pencils in his dance bag today. He makes his way over to the couch to retrieve the items, making himself comfortable as he starts on the basic outline of the photo.

It was only after a few minutes that Minho realized that Hyunjin was now wrapped up in his sketchbook. He makes his way over to the boy, grabbing his water bottle before settling into the spot next to him.

“Tired of dancing?” Minho asks, glancing over at the rough sketch Hyunjin had made across the page.

“Just sudden inspiration, I guess,” Hyunjin mutters, not taking his eyes off the paper in front of him.

“What are you working on now?” Minho asks, trying to steal a glance at Hyunjin’s phone.

Hyunjin smiles, flipping his phone over so the older boy couldn’t see, “Wouldn’t you like to know.”

“Jinnie! Come on, I’m just curious.”

“You can find out when I finish the drawing, how about that?” Hyunjin bargains.

“That’s going to take forever!”

“You’re cute when you are whiny,” Hyunjin chuckles, “Just keep working on dances, I’m sure the time will fly by.”

Minho lets out a sigh, “Fine. I guess I can do that.”

Minho gives a quick kiss to the younger boy, feeling a hand smack against his own when he tries to sneakily grab ahold of Hyunjin’s phone.

“Little shit,” Hyunjin mutters.

“Can’t blame a man for trying,” Minho responds before finally getting back up.

With that, Hyunjin goes back to his sketching and Minho moves on to the next song. For the next two hours, Minho busies himself with different songs and dances, eventually even doing songs that weren’t even theirs. When all that got too boring he moved on to his phone, trying to find something to preoccupy himself.

But after what felt like ages Hyunjin smiles and sets his pencil down to the side, “It’s finished if you still want to see it.”

Minho was quick to his feet, rushing over to see the sketch Hyunjin had finished working on. Hyunjin chuckles at the older boy’s eagerness.

“It looks great, Jinnie.” Minho praises, glancing between the sketch and Hyunjin.

“Well, I’m glad you like it.” Hyunjin responds, closing up the sketchbook and tucking it back into his bag, “Now do you want to keep working on our dances now?”

“I think I’m done for the day, how about we grab something to eat then head back to the dorms.” Minho offers.

“Sounds like a plan,” Hyunjin responds.

---------------------------------

Hyunjin had wrapped up his vocal lesson early today. Which wasn’t necessarily a good thing when he had to wait for seven other boys to also finish up so they could move on to dance practice.

To be fair Hyunjin could probably sneak into the dance studio, but there was also a good chance someone was already using it.

So this left Hyunjin pacing the halls and trying to entertain himself. He got a little curious after a little bit of time, glancing into the other vocal rooms to see how much longer the boys would be.

When Hyunjin came across the room Seungmin was in, he couldn’t help but smile. He could faintly hear the younger’s voice from where he stood outside the door. He glanced into the tiny window in the door to find Seungmin wrapped up in his singing.

He couldn’t resist as he pulls out his phone.

The photo itself was a little rough as he had to fight from getting a glare from the window pane. But Seungmin looked amazing, his eyes closed as he belts out the notes into the microphone, one hand holding his headphones in place.

Hyunjin took a seat against the wall, digging in his bag for his sketchbook and a pencil. He props the sketchbook on his legs as he balances his phone against his bag, the photo of Seungmin pulled up.

He takes his time in sketching the younger boy, trying to get all the little details he could. The wrinkles in Seungmin’s hoodie, his hair curling up around the headphones, the crinkles in his shut eyelids, all little details Hyunjin tries to capture in the sketch.

He wasn’t even sure how long it was until he heard a voice call to him.

“Hyunjin-hyung, were you waiting for me?” Seungmin asks.

Hyunjin glances up from his place on the floor, offering the younger boy a smile, “Kind of, I finished up first and I was just waiting on everyone.”

“...Hyung, the vocal practices were over an hour ago, and the boys have been blowing up both of our phones wondering where we were. I told them I was still with the vocal teacher. I’m pretty sure they have no clue where you are.” Seungmin explains.

Hyunjin’s eyes go wide as he reaches out for his phone, which was on ‘Do not Disturb’ because of his earlier training. He opens up his texts to see a ton from the group chat and a couple from the individual boys.

“Oops…” Hyunjin mutters, quickly shooting a text in the group chat that he was on his way with Seungmin.

“Hopefully they’re not too mad.” Seungmin chuckles, offering a hand out to Hyunjin so he can stand, “What had your attention so bad that you didn’t notice?”

“Oh I was working on a sketch, it was of you. Do you want to see it?”

“Of course, Hyungie. I always love seeing what you come up with.”

Hyunjin passes over the sketchbook before turning to gather his things off the floor. Seungmin takes a second to look over the drawing, a wide smile spreading across his face.

“You’re such a talented artist, Jinnie-hyung.” Seungmin praises, passing the sketchbook back over to the older boy.

“I hope so, I always want to do my boyfriends justice when I draw them.”

“You definitely do. Now let’s go before our boyfriends worry any more than they already have.”

Hyunjin nods and hand in hand the two boys make their way to the dance practice room. Luckily they only got a light scolding from their boyfriends before going straight into dance practice.

Eventually, Hyunjin is sure he’ll have to get a sketchbook dedicated just to all the drawings he wants to do of his boyfriends. He might go to the shops and get a new one on his next day off, he’ll definitely need it.
