    Severus knows that things like his glasses and meds are only meant to help him, make it easier to survive, make him more comfortable, but that doesn't mean he likes it. Ever since he started using such things, learned that he might need to, he's felt terrible and embarrassed and scared and a whole lot of emotions he can't even comprehend. He's felt angry when told to wear them by his husband, Remus, his doctors, friends, even the voice in his head that knows it's the right thing. But, it takes an uncomfortable morning of Remus trying to get his to use his medical devices and tears that leads to Severus, and Remus, finally realizing why.
