“Rui- no- no- you can’t drink that! Drink anything but the Grimace Shake!” I look over in pure shock and horror as my dearest loved one holds the purple milkshake in his hand with a smile.
“Oh Akito, don’t be silly~ You can’t believe everything you hear online now can you?” He gave me that charming wink of his and smirked before bringing the straw to his lips. “It can’t be that bad, can it? Well, happy birthday Grimace!”
I’m too late. My hand is unable to snatch it from him as he takes a sip. I look on in terror as he sips, my heart thudding through my chest as I look at his dreamy golden orbs.
“This…isn’t that bad-” He muses before his eyes suddenly widen. Purple goo falls from his lip, his body shaking and convulsing. I stare in horror, my eyes bubbling with tears as I scream out his name. This can’t be happening. This can’t be how I lose him.
I can’t lose Rui. He’s my entire world, he’s my dearest one. But as I watch him throw up and his skin start to grow sickly shades of green and purple, I realise this is the end.
“R-rui- I…”
He looks at me, his eyes now swelled up. He’s fallen to his knees, the liquid dripping down his shirt. He’s coughing up purple goo left right and center and I have to step back to avoid the putrid liquid. He looks up at me for the final time as his breaths slow down and his coughing grows.
Through coughs he mutters, “Happy birthday Grimace…”
And his heart stops, he falls limp and his body goes rigid and cold. I collapse to my knees, tears streaming down my eyes. I cried out his name over and over again, not wanting to believe this was the end. Not wanting to believe he was gone.
“R-rui- Rui- no no no….” The sobs keep coming and I’m unable to control them…and then I feel rage.
Rage towards the filthy company known as Mcdonalds. Rage towards Capitalism, Rage towards college kids, Rage towards Fast food.
And rage towards Grimace.
I grab my cowboy attire and throw it on, grabbing my glock. I look down at Rui’s corpse for the last time and then look towards the empty void known as the sky.
The sky is clear tonight and I utter one wore into it.
“Grimace, I’m coming 4 u m8.”
