    Summary

It had been three days since Akito had begun this long, arduous journey. He hardly stopped for even a moment’s rest, let alone a full night’s sleep. His resources were dwindling, canteen nearly running dry. And yet, he didn’t stop. Not when he knew he was so close to his destination.

He could see it on the horizon. Highrises and skyscrapers, worn and lost to time. If any place had other survivors gathered, ones who weren’t dirty scavengers, it’d be there. He had heard its name whispered by scavengers and wanderers alike, the wind carrying the rumors their voices held.

    The City of Flowers.
