Summary
Does paranormal journalist Yashiro Nene believe in ghosts?
Not really.
Or maybe just a little, but only when she’s writing up articles about spectral sightings for the local newspaper. When she arrives in a small town to investigate stories of widespread night terrors and haunting voices coming from the woods, she finds the origin of these phenomena in an old, abandoned church. Trapped inside its walls with a mysterious spirit, Nene must confront not only the darkness inside the church, but in her own past.
“Sorry,” he said, smiling a little self-consciously. “I know you’re going through a lot right now. It’s just… I haven’t seen a living person in a really, really long time.”
Living. That struck her.
“How long has it been?”
“No idea. Forever, maybe? Long enough to miss pretty girls, so maybe not so long ago at all.”
She blinked at him. This was… an exceptionally weird time to flirt.
