Chapter Text
One thing was for sure. Kyle was not psychic. He was in no way born with actual superpowers. But he had absolutely no explanation for why the hospital room got destroyed when he got pissed off and shouted.
There had to be a logical explanation though. There had to be, right?
That day was when it all started, ever since then weird and unexplainable stuff was happening around him, all the time. It was all some sort of prank, played out by Cartman or something. There is no such thing as being psychic. Kyle had no clue how Cartman managed to get that pen next to him to levitate but that’s the only logical explanation.
Kyle was currently sitting at his desk trying to do this homework, and not thinking about the pen that was currently levitating. Nope, no way. His eyebrows furrowed and he tried his best to concentrate about the papers laying in front of him.
It didn’t work though, cause as he concentrated more, more of the items in his pencil case decided it was the best idea to start floating too. Kyle tried not to pay attention as he watched all the stuff in his pencil case neatly fly out and continued to float around the room. There were at least 8 things flying around, but there was no way Kyle was going to pay attention to it.
He was not psychic.
-
Kyle loved eating dinner. His mom would always make the best food. “Alright, eat up.” Sheila, his mom, said while placing a dish in front of him. She went back to her own seat at the other side of the table.
Dinner went by as normal, and Kyle was so happy there was no flying objects around. Just made dinner even better.
“I wish Sheila would make something better to eat”.
Kyle perked his head up, frantically turning his head around. Who said that? That sounded like his dad, but no one was reacting to him saying that. Did he hear wrong? No, there was no way he heard wrong, it was very clear.
“Anything wrong Kyle?”
His mother was staring him down, a concerned looked on her face. She must’ve noticed Kyles frantic turning and distress.
“Uhm, no ma. I’m good” He switched his gaze from his mom back down onto his food.
Why wasn’t anyone reacting to what his dad had said? Did he even say it. What if he just thought it? Nope, no way. Kyle shook his head to get the thought out of his head. He had not just read his dad mind. That is physically impossible.
Because Kyle, was in fact, not psychic.
“I really want mom to buy me that new game I want for my birthday.”
“What game?” Kyle said, not thinking, turning to face his brother.
The entire table stopped at Kyles words. His brother Ike had a look of disbelief on his face. “No one said anything about a game, Kyle.” His brother said, uneasiness in his voice.
“Didn’t you just- ah- never mind.” Kyle swore he heard his brother talk about a game. Didn’t he? He was sure of it. Ike’s voice was loud and clear. He was clearly talking about a game.
He definitely didn’t just read someone’s mind again. That was impossible and Kyle was not psychic.
-
This recess was so boring, honestly. Kyle and Stan were just chatting about whatever topic came to mind. Stan mostly ranting about the newest breakup with Wendy.
Cartman was doing the thing he always does. Trying to annoy all three of them while Kenny tried to shut Cartman up, for being a shit.
It was regular and boring, just how Kyle enjoyed it. There were no flying objects around and no talking only Kyle could apparently register. Just, casual and boring.
“Stop, Kenny!” A frustrated Cartman said while he was trying to hit at Kenny, Kyle just rolled his eyes at the two of them and continued to talk to Stan.
“AH- Kyle! Watch out!”
The scared voice of Tweek sounded behind him and Kyle quickly turned to the source of the sound.
At full speed towards him, came a basketball. His eyes quickly widened before shutting close as he pulled his arms up to protect himself. He was quickly waiting for the blow to his head A few seconds passed, but it never came. Instead, what came was a voice.
“Ow.” The voice was stoic and low.
Kyle slowly opened one of his eyes. He noticed the ball was nowhere near him at all. It was on the other side of the playground, where it came from. Next to the ball, stood a distressed Craig Tucker holding his hands up to his bloody nose.
Oh shit.
Everyone was eyeing Kyle. If the red head could just disappear right now, he would. There was no way he deflected that ball with just his mind and apparently sent it back to hit Craig in the face.
“What type of jew shit was that!” Cartman screamed back at Kyle. “You didn’t even the touch the ball!”.
“Yeah Kyle, what was that?” his super best friend chimed in, a look of pure of confusion on his face. Oh, how much Kyle wish he could answer, but frankly he had no idea what was happening either.
Okay, maybe he was a little psychic.
-
Kyle had invited Kenny over to play video games with him. He always felt bad for Kenny living in those conditions he did. So, from time to time, Kyle would invite him over to eat dinner and just chill.
Lately his head had started hurting when being around Kenny, he had a hunch that something was up with him… Something not normal. It would act up a lot more those days Kenny wasn’t at school. As well as something in Kyle told him that Kenny was lying when he said he was ‘sick’.
“Kenny, I think I need to go to the bathroom.”
“Oh okay.” Kenny sighed as both put away their controllers onto the table.
Both sat back down onto the couch before Kyle stretched and got ready to get up again. He closed his eyes.
Out of nowhere a flashing like hit him. That light was in no way comfortable in any way. It hurt. He didn’t even have the time to process what just happened before it was gone again. And Kenny was only hit by the smell of smoke.
. . .
“Kyle?” Kennys voice came from far away. Too far away to be right next to him.
Kyle really didn’t want to open his eyes. Why the hell did Kenny seem so far away? He is supposed to be sitting beside him. The couch was also not as comfortable anymore, and he can’t remember standing up yet. Well, only way to get answers to where he was to open his eyes. He decided to slowly open his eyes.
This was not the living room he was just in. He wasn’t looking at living room table and tv. No, not at all, he was currently looking at the tiles and walls of his upstairs bathroom.
Oh no.
He did in fact not just teleport into the bathroom. Nope there was no way. This was not happening right now. He had just accepted being able to make things float, but teleporting?
A knock was at the door. “Uh, Kyle, can I come in?”
“yeah”.
The door creaked opened, revealing a relatively calm Kenny McCormick. The thought astonished Kyle a little, how could he not freak out if he just saw his best friend teleport? Oh gosh, Kenny had just seen him teleport.
Well, there was no way he could hide these weird ‘powers’. everyone had seen him deflect that ball at recess the other day anyway.
“Kyle what was that? What just happened?”
“Yeah, I think I might be psychic...”
